Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in our experience. First, the dining area had several table that were litter with the past patrons dishes,, 6 to be exact with only 4 clean tables. I ordered hibachi while my husband order a sushi dinner. Our soup and salad was quickly brought out, then we waited. My meal was brought to the table and we were told the sushi would be ready shortly. I was finished eating until my husband's meal was brought out. Oh, did I mention that mine was cold. DH and i each had the 3 sushi rolls for 9.95 lunch special which is a great price - no complaints there. service was good. however, it just seems like the quality and freshness of the rolls isn't what it used to be. i had boston roll - no flavor whatsoever...just tasted like iceberg lettuce. shrimp tempura roll and california rolls were ok - not the worst but nowhere near the best i've had -- just very very average. DH had eel cucumber roll which he reports was bland and two orders of salmon skin roll which had a similar effect. moral - maybe go here for lunch specials but i definitely would not pay the full dinner price for their sushi. read more

I use to LOVE this place. Last time I was there.... they served me RAW chicken. Pink squishy chicken. We got the hibachi in the dinning room. The girl took it and dissected it right it front of us. It was really gross. Won't be going back. There's lots more places in York to go. read more

Let me say that though this place is actually in a strip mall, don't let that detract from how good the place is. As soon as you go in you're greeting by a high class ambiance that keeps all the way back to the sushi bar. The alcohol bar is in kinda an odd place; it's right at the door. The hibachi is excellent and they use that addictive seafood sauce that I swear HAS to be better than crack. Their sushi is great as usual though I do feel it's not as good as it once was. Still not bad. Now for the cons. Depending on when you go the atmosphere can be VERY rowdy and noisy. This usually is the case on holidays like Valentines, or Friday and Saturday nights. If a table is being rowdy and noisy, management will make no attempt to quell the situation. Worse yet, the table chefs do this thing where they squirt sake into peoples mouths at the table. I'm personally a teetotaler, so none for me. Also, you have to ask for fried rice, and there is an upcharge for it. Most restaurants I go to don't upcharge. So it's really a great place, but my suggestion would be for lunches or dinner during the week. They have a $9.95 sushi special or a lunch bento box that is unbeatable. read more

My daughter and son in law went to this place with his family. My daughters nephew is 4 years old and the chef used an adult size bottle to squirt the saki juice in his mouth and he almost drowned in it. The chef said (no money, no honey). Which could be partly from the week before when my daughter and son in law went, they tipped the waiter thinking they all share the tip. Well, apparently not. So, the chef must have remembered them and kept throwing the food and purposely missed their mouths and it dropped on the floor. For an out-of-town sushi snob, I have to say I was quite impressed with the sushi here. The location is awful - strip mall from hell. But, inside, at the back of an otherwise unremarkable teppanyaki place, is a little magic for the road-weary traveler. The sushi quality was excellent as was the presentation. Even the uni tasted better than in many places in DC. All in all, well worth the side trip if you happen to crave sushi in York, PA. read more

Absolutely the best place in York. From the outside it doesn't look like much and the decor isn't that impressing, but the service and food is amazing. I enjoy going to Fujihana for their sushi always fresh and tasty. My favorite are the spiderball rolls, they're huge. I had the hibachi once and I wasn't impressed, but that doesn't stop me from going there for sushi. read more

Firstly let me say my review may be a little bit biased because being from SOCAL I am very much used to Benihana. This place is sort of a knockoff of that. The food was okay but the fried rice was something I could make in my kitchen. Not the best sushi in York but it isn't bad. Ordered takeout and didn't have one of our appetizers in the bag although it was on the receipt. The bag was already stapled shut so I didn't open it to check at the restaurant. Called them, as it was not convenient for me to return and they took my name and said to mention it the next time for a free appetizer. We'll see if that happens. read more

I have had some pretty bad sushi here on more than one occasion. The first time the tuna was actually smelly! Very rubbery and fatty. It was old and not good quality. FYI fresh fish has no taste or smell. read more

Disappointing! Looked like it would be great. Happy hour 3 roll offer the basic small maki rolls for 9.99 with soup or salad. They cut the price but also the size of the pieces of seafood in the rolls were cut in half. Most disappointing though was the Spicy Girl Roll which is shrimp tempura that arrived cold. When I brought it to the servers attention was told the next time I should tell them I wanted the tempura hot so the make sure it is served that way. I asked if it should be hot and he said yes. This roll was the most expensive I ordered and they couldn't get it right and that didn't seem to matter to the server. read more

Prices were reasonable, drinks were cold and food was fresh most important place felt clean. I would go back and request Steve again. Only gripe was the $2 up charge on fried rice, that was $18 for fried rice that no I e really wanted or ate, next time I need to read the menu closer. The staff is very good and on top of everything. The decor is typically. We had hibachi and the chef was skilled with all the usual tricks. My problem started with the extra charges for fried rice and noodles $2 & $3 respectively. Then I was dissatisfied with the over cooked meat and sea scallops. For York PA...a place where flavor of food generally takes a back seat to the name recognition of chain restaurants.....You can't beat the Sushi at Fujihana. My wife and I have been there many times for both business meetings, family events and just the two of us. The flavor is comparable to some of the better sushi places I've eaten at all over the world. If you like Hibachi, the cooks are fairly playful and the restaurant is always very clean. You'll also find very the servers to be mindful about when you may need more water or plate removal. York also has another Sushi place where the Sushi is fantastic, however the speed in which you are served doesn't compare with Fujihana. read more

Sit-down service is good, but not great, as I think the main attraction is hibachi which happens to be quite wonderful and enjoyable. The food is quite good, especially when you get anything at the hibachi tables. The sushi is also quite good. read more
