Frozen Bowl Vending Machine
Joy J.

Stumbled upon Fujiya Market and decided to check it out as we drove by on our way to Angie's. It has your basic Asian groceries, and they even have a small assortment of onigiri, which I didn't get a picture of because 2 people were talking and hovering over them. I want to say they were around $2 and some change. They have a small selection of plushie keychains and some other anime stuff near the door. They also had a cool frozen food bowl machine near the entrance, which I was tempted to try, but I was omw back to the airport. I can't comment on the service because I didn't buy anything, and no one greeted me when I came in. I think the prices here are high. It's in a corner strip mall with ample parking shared by other businesses. I might try the vending machine on my next visit.

Shiba trinkets, imported from Japan

When I need some Japanese grocery and I can't find it elsewhere say at Mekong or 99 Ranch or H Mart, I will come here to see if I can find what I am looking for. I also like coming here for their fresh ready made items. That's probably my favorite section in most Asian grocery stores I visit. I came in here on a Sunday at noon and there were massive amounts of people waiting for the fresh food items, wowsers! I did end up getting a small nori bento and it was delicious and affordable. I love pickled gobo and seaweed! And this place does it right. It comes with a small piece of grilled salmon and fish tempura. I also was finally able to find my favorite sakura wrapped mochi (I used to get these easily in NYC) and finally finally found them here on this visit. Yea! I also love that they have fun trinkets here from Japan and many other items imported from Japan, so it's a nice treat to come in and browse. They get one star deducted because they have limited hours but I guess that is also their charm too, makes it a nice treat to come in here to shop when they are open! I am a regular here and love this place!

Bento

I've been coming to Fujiya Market for years! They have the best bento in the Valley. They sell out quickly on the weekends so definitely plan to arrive when they are opening for the best selection.

Prepared lunches

I like to come here for a quick cheap meal sometimes when I'm in the area and not wanting to spend much money. The prepared lunches are insanely well priced and filling, and the staff is always super friendly. I usually get the one with the rice and the salmon and nori on top. The other items they sell in the store look pretty good as well, mostly packaged goods and drinks with a little produce area next to the lunches. They also have a microwave and some tables inside so you can heat up and eat your lunch! Would recommend :)

Authentic store. Small but you can find everything you need. Prices are reasonable. Quite a lot of Japanese snacks available.

Quite small but good assortment! Japanese stores are rare here, so I appreciate them immensely.

Ask the Community - Fujiya Market

Do they carry oronine?

Sorry, we don't.

How would I be able to obtain the onigiri? I haven't seen them so far in the cooler case thing.

I was wondering the same thing. But I asked someone that worked there and they said you can call in and ask them to set some aside for you.

Do you carry any Musubi Sushi Rice Presses?

They do!!! I've seen them!

The only "conbini" worth a visit in AZ, bowls and bento are a great deal if you are lucky enough to get them.

My friend got the smoked kielbasa dill pickle soup w/sour cream and I got the solyanka (beef, smoked kielbasa, veggies). We were intrigued by the dill in the first soup and that was mild but still tasty. The solyanka was delicious as well. For pierogis, we got the 12 plate to share three different kinds: farmer's cheese & chives, potato & cheese & jalapeño, and potato & bacon & onions. I think my favorite was the chives one followed by the bacon one. The jalapeño one was pretty mild. I wish that they had told us how the flavors were arranged on the plate. The honey cake was really delicious and the layers looked amazing. Even as full as I was, I ate the whole slice. The restaurant is attached to their little market. It's cozy inside and quite cute/quaint. I do agree that the service can be a bit slow in a way that was noticeable but didn't leave me feeling neglected. I would definitely return to try more of the menu.
