They were quick and friendly but more importantly the sauce was delectable. It was sweet and tangy and had just the slightest bit of heat in the short ribs. Ok we ordered two Miso soups and chick Teri and short ribs. Then As always I checked in and saw a Free Miso with check in. Asked the gal about it and she said they are not affiliated with that... huh??? Need to check with the owner or something. Cause those just dont just pop up under a business. Oh man, I dont know where to start. This past weekend, Dec. 2nd and 3rd, we had food from this place. Spent about $70 for 3 bobas, pork yakisoba, pork katsu with curry, and kids beef and noodles. Luckily, my son didnt want to eat his food bc that Monday, we had a severe case of food poisoning, both my bf and I. Had to take almost 3 days off work and I'm still feeling the after effects of it. Went to the location after a few years. My daughter and I both had chicken terriyaki bowls and my vegetables were ice cold. Within a short time we were both very sick to our stomachs and it took about a week to feel completely better. I called the location which does not have a voicemail and was not open on Sundays to let them know that we both got very sick and were still feeling poorly and that I wanted a full refund. The manager told me that she would get a refund, but when I noticed bank statement only partial refund was granted the amount of the bowls. I called back and spoke to same manager she stated that because the bowls are what got us sick that was all that they were going to refund, she scolded me for not coming forward at the time we were dining and stated that she would tell the owner to see if he would give me the other refund. She also stated that the vegetables are cooked and kept in an ice bath so they couldn't possibly have gotten us sick and that nobody else has complained. I told her that most of the time they wont complain they just wont come back. I called back today to leave a message with the owner to get my full refund, after all I did not pay to get sick and none of the meal would have been enjoyable. It became an oppositional time with the same female manager that has been handling this issue since I have been calling. I let her know that I would be filing a complaint with the health department and want to have a call back from the owner asap. She also decided to let me know she thought I stated that I was starting to feel better. I typically opt for a bowl with all veggies & no rice, and it's only a slight-upcharge for the extra veggies. The chicken is our favorite protein on the menu, though sometimes it's a little overcooked (hence the 3-stars)... but since the teriyaki flavor is spot-on, I try not to complain. My only wish for their menu is that they had more sauce options other than teriyaki. I'd love to see a peanut / ginger / other option to add to the dishes. Drinks: Serve yourself soda fountain. Today was a different story. The price has increased slightly since my last visit. But everything is getting more expensive these days. My gripe is the lack of ribs... hardly any. Yokozuna was a frequent stop when they opened for me, but their customer service has gone downhill. I have had many visits where you sit and wait to be greeted with nobody in sight. Their front case is mostly empty and they frequently are out of boba or have not made it yet. They serve boba, but only if you don't show up when they open for lunch. This place has gluten-free teriyaki! Yes, I was skeptical at first. Apparently it's made in house, and it is absolutely amazing. It cost an extra buck to add it to their teriyaki bowls (which means everything else on their menu is off limits for me, which doesn't bug me because the teriyaki is delicious). I could eat there every day. I recommend the teriyaki with chicken, it also comes with big chunks of stir fry vegetables (think carrots, zucchini, snap peas). Mmmhmmm. You can also add a fried egg on top as well. Note: I have gluten sensitivity, but I'm not full blown celiac. I'm sure there's a degree of cross contamination - I haven't asked how celiac friendly their kitchen is. But I've eaten here multiple times with no indication that I've been glutened (and I can tell when I've been glutened within a matter of minutes). The Meridian location has quite a bit of indoor seating, also a covered patio for when the days are nice! I've never once had poor service, although I have had to wait a minute for my order to be taken. From what I can observe, the small amount of persons on staff means that sometimes the people running the register have to make food as well. No big deal for me, the food never takes long to make - max I've had to wait to eat (from walking in to getting my food) is ten minutes. PLUS they have delivery! read more

The meats were ok, but I've had better. Their curry is unremarkable. The help was uninspiring and when he brought our food, he had his thumb over the rim of the bowl. Not very sanitary.
