While waiting to get my tint done in Wahiawa, I started to get hungry. I started to walk around and came across this place which had a handful of customers already seated and eating. I sat down on one of the 9 tables and looked over the menu and bam my eyes became fixated on the beef curry combo. I thought the beef was going to be thinly sliced but to my surprise it was chunks of tender beef. The curry was on the sweeter side which I actually prefer so it was a 10 out of 10 for me. The Ramen noodles has a nice chew to it. The slice of pork was on the thicker side but it tasted a little salty which may have affected the broth as it was neither a hit or miss but right in the middle. Needless to say I ate all the noodles and left most of the broth. I woild give it 7 out of 10. The pan fried gyoza was good. The wrapping had a nice texture and chew stuffed with pork, onion, chives ginger and something else but it tasted good. 9 out of 10. Service was really good. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was given a menu and water. Never had to ask for a refill on water. 10 out of 10 for service. If I find myself around here again, I won't hesitate to come back as I'm full and for the most part that's a good full. read more

Came here around 5:30pm on a week night. It wasn't crowded in the restaurant for dining in. There was a table before us and for majority of our meal we were the only ones inside. They had a steady flow of takeaway orders. The place was small and quiet, which my family likes because we can hear each other. For food we ordered: Cold Tofu, Croquettes, Regular gyoza, combo set A (mini Mochiko chicken ramen, fried rice with 4pc gyoza), Fukuyu big bowl, and a mini udon bowl. My husband also had a coke with his meal, when everything came out we realized we ordered way too much food for 2adults and 3kids (sharing). Our total was around $68 for everything which we were surprised, we thought it would have been way more. Overall we really enjoyed our time and our kids really liked the place. They enjoyed looking at the fish tanks that were inside and our server was very prompt and attentive. We will definitely be back. read more

On September 26, 2024, I pulled into the handicap space in front of this business in the KAC / Wahiawa Shopping Center. Our plan was to go into "The Vintage" and then have lunch. A lady came out of Fukuya Ramen and said, "you park there." I said we have a handicap placard and pointed out that our vehicle was the only vehicle in the lot. She continued and ended with, "get towed." We went to "The Vintage" for about 20 minutes and as soon we rounded the corner we saw that our vehicle was gone. So much for wanting lunch. We went into Fukuya Ramen, asked why our vehicle was towed, where it was towed to, and how to get it back. The same lady as earlier, pointed out the phone number on the sign. How frustrating, the first business we went to is in same shopping center as is this restaurant. But, apparently the parking lot is dedicated to the few business that are directly across from it (not the entire center). A huge THANK YOU to the lady from Fukuya Ramen for TRYING to WARN us!! You went out of your way to do something that you did not need to. My wife apologizes for being so upset. And also wishes to thank you for kindness by trying to warn us. Food is relatively good. My mom LOVES the gyoza but isn't a huge gyoza fan ... so that speaks volumes. Inside is average, nothing fancy but not so comfy either. The veggie ramen was pretty large ($9.80) and nothing fancy but filling. The broth was pretty good. I am hoping it was truly a veggie broth and not chicken or beef or pork broth or something animally, but it was pretty good. I made the mistake of using the hot oil on the table to put into my ramen, as I am a sucker for all things hot and spicy, but the oil tasted old. I had vegetarian ramen years and years ago at Ezogiku and the toppings were super noteworthy, I guess I'm using that as a constant standard against all veggie ramens, and it's hard to top. The service was very good and the cute young man was super nice and made sure to bring me water right away and ask me how my ramen was, was it good? I said, it's very good! and I was telling the truth. The price was right and I was full. Do you notice when you get older, you say things like "cute young man?" Sigh. I'm pretty sure the owner, the manager, or the cook read the past reviews and addressed what they could. In reading through the past reviews, they weren't very good about taste or quality. I can share with confidence, today was better and they addressed the past issues. The parking situation is not bad. I really enjoyed walking into the place because it was so clean and colorfully decorated. The employees were warm and welcoming. I loved that all the condiment containers were full, labeled, and free of drips or stickiness. My mom had the chuka ramen and it must have been good because she finished it LOL. I had the mochiko chicken ramen and was pleasantly surprised. Only because a prior review said it wasn't tasty....was pretty good to me. This is by far the most filthiest store I have ever been too. Bugs crawling on table and condiments. Sriracha sauce bottles were all different colors. Some red, some brown. The gyoza sauce had some kind of white funk floating vs the ones packed for take out didn't have any gunk. Food quality was really small (pupu plates style just about). Gosh the katsu plate was $16 and there was barely any chicken in between the breading. $3.00 for a side of corn that's the size of a dipping sauce container. I went here for a late lunch on a Thursday so the place was empty. Service was good and food arrived quickly. I ordered the spicy seafood ramen w/egg (extra $2) and my partner ordered a fukuya ramen with tan tan base (extra $3) and egg (extra $2). He liked his order, he said it was tasty and filling. I did not like my food at all. My partner tried it and agreed. It had no taste aside from the spicy oil they put into the bland broth. The noodles were generic, the veggie toppings were only cabbage and bean sprouts, and the seafood was 3 pieces of mini shrimp and 4 small pieces of squid. If you're in the area, I recommend you skip this place and drive a little further to one of my favorite saimin places, Shige's. Much better food! read more

Very hearty portions and the fried rice is more than enough for delicious leftovers! Don't be fooled by the new name. Had I known this was the same dumpy ramen place as in the Mililani town center I would not have ordered anything. Hence why they used a different name. I was really upset . I wasted my money and pretty much trashed the 2 plates and only ate the gyoza which was junk but not as bad as the rest I guess. So I ended up going to McDonald's and having to spend $12.00 bcuz I was hungry. I won't be returning bcuz the food sucks plain and simple. The fried rice has no flavor it's bland. The mochiko chicken was just gross. No flavor tasted like dirty oil. The gyoza was ok but missing something super important but it was still somewhat edible not the rest. So ... this place ... I'm not sure if it's the dysfunctional space of the kitchen or what, but the wait time for food of the last 3 restaurants in this space following the closure of Olive Cafe have made our visits to each just a one time deal. We arrived at 605pm and were greeted warmly and sat quickly. The restaurant was pretty full considering what we see normally when passing by. Water was dropped off, menus dropped off a minute later and the server came back nearly 8 minutes after that to take our order. In a restaurant likened to that of Daiichi, Nagoya, or Genki ramen, that's way too long. Although we understand it WAS busy for them, our food took 23 mins to get the first portion with at least 10 mins between each entree for the combos (mini ramen, then fried rice, then gyoza) thereafter. More alarmingly, our food didn't come out at temperature. Nothing hit the table steaming. My little dude's curry was cold. Not lukewarm ... Cold! His chicken katsu, just warm to the touch and cold by the time I cut it all up. For as long as we waited for the gyoza, we expected it to be piping hot where the filling burns your mouth. Nope. It all had to have been just sitting back there. Within 10 mins of finishing dinner, the mister needed to go home and use the restroom. Food poisoning. I should have known by the oily film across the top of my water that I was able to sop out with a napkin? They need to wash their cups with hot water and soap - there's white oil film on the outsides of the cups so when they stack them, it gets on the inside of the next cup. So, Gross. I sat down, the waiter brought us waters and wow... that was the wrong thing to do obviously. I couldn't even cover up the taste of it with a lemon because sadly, there was none.
