    Fly in soup. Yayyy.

I ordered from Uber Eats. There was a fly in my broth container and my shrimp tempura was burnt. Not good

Service is great but food to me was just average. The Seafood Combo Ramen and the Wonton Combo ramen tasted sort of bland. The fried rice in these combo was more flavorful but lacking on ingredients.

Came here around 5:30pm on a week night. It wasn't crowded in the restaurant for dining in. There was a table before us and for majority of our meal we were the only ones inside. They had a steady flow of takeaway orders. The place was small and quiet, which my family likes because we can hear each other. For food we ordered: Cold Tofu, Croquettes, Regular gyoza, combo set A (mini Mochiko chicken ramen, fried rice with 4pc gyoza), Fukuyu big bowl, and a mini udon bowl. My husband also had a coke with his meal, when everything came out we realized we ordered way too much food for 2adults and 3kids (sharing). Our total was around $68 for everything which we were surprised, we thought it would have been way more. Overall we really enjoyed our time and our kids really liked the place. They enjoyed looking at the fish tanks that were inside and our server was very prompt and attentive. We will definitely be back.

#47 for 2021 This is a cool spot to go if you're craving for fresh tasty ramen, broth and gyoza. Free parking located in same lot as Uber Factory. We equally enjoyed our meals. Really surprised that my son enjoyed taste of chicken fried rice. Offer 4 free pieces of gyoza from 2 p.m.-5 p.m. per party during business hours. Server is courteous and efficient; however, we're anticipating a check up to see how everything is going.

$16? For a tiny piece of unagi and rice in a small container. What a rip off!

You've got to be kidding me right? $16 for a tiny piece of unagi in a small container with a measly amount of rice? Never again!

Big Bowl Ramen always delicious. I come the second time and I order Fukuya Ramen Big bowl. That is soooo big and the soup base tastes good. And I order gyoza also yummy. Every vegetable fresh in soup.I love this place. When I come waihiwa I will come again.

I had to eat here, but not because I really wanted to. It was because I had to find parking for Surfer Coffee and parked around the building that had Fukuya Ramen tow-away signs. Oops, wrong parking lot. But I was hungry, and I am always looking for places to Yelp, so yes, I saw it as an opportunity to support a local business and keep a clean conscience. The veggie ramen was pretty large ($9.80) and nothing fancy but filling. The broth was pretty good. I am hoping it was truly a veggie broth and not chicken or beef or pork broth or something animally, but it was pretty good. I made the mistake of using the hot oil on the table to put into my ramen, as I am a sucker for all things hot and spicy, but the oil tasted old. I had vegetarian ramen years and years ago at Ezogiku and the toppings were super noteworthy, I guess I'm using that as a constant standard against all veggie ramens, and it's hard to top. The service was very good and the cute young man was super nice and made sure to bring me water right away and ask me how my ramen was, was it good? I said, it's very good! and I was telling the truth. The price was right and I was full. Do you notice when you get older, you say things like "cute young man?" Sigh. BOTTOM LINE: the cute young guy was really cute, and super nice. The ramen was really nice too. I'd come back here to try the cold noodles next time.

Best owner of this ramen shop! Gary has kept this shop open for the last three years in Wahiawa all throughout the CoVid pandemic, keeping his store clean, well-organized and working closely with all the demands of the various delivery companies and apps! Thank you Gary!

I'm pretty sure the owner, the manager, or the cook read the past reviews and addressed what they could. In reading through the past reviews, they weren't very good about taste or quality. I can share with confidence, today was better and they addressed the past issues. The parking situation is not bad. I really enjoyed walking into the place because it was so clean and colorfully decorated. The employees were warm and welcoming. I loved that all the condiment containers were full, labeled, and free of drips or stickiness. My mom had the chuka ramen and it must have been good because she finished it LOL. I had the mochiko chicken ramen and was pleasantly surprised. Only because a prior review said it wasn't tasty....was pretty good to me. I wasn't aware of any "check in" promotion or special going on but the nice employee gave us 10% off! And no, that's not the reason for the four stars.

$3.00 side order corn in a sauce bowl
    Nelly C.

This is by far the most filthiest store I have ever been too. Bugs crawling on table and condiments. Sriracha sauce bottles were all different colors. Some red, some brown. The gyoza sauce had some kind of white funk floating vs the ones packed for take out didn't have any gunk. Food quality was really small (pupu plates style just about). Gosh the katsu plate was $16 and there was barely any chicken in between the breading. $3.00 for a side of corn that's the size of a dipping sauce container. I can't post videos apparently once I post photos but even the cups were sooooooo filthy. Check out these photos

Great food and service, came here with friends that recommended the place and I was not disappointed. From the price, quality and quantity everything was great!

Catchy name, but had to confirm if the food was any good. Fukuya Ramen ... da bomb, we shared and it was more than we could eat Gyosa ... above average Temupura ... average Quiet, clean spot ... no lunch time rush. Highly recommended

Spicy Seafood Ramen $11.95 plus egg (extra $2). Those are all the toppings it came with, I had not dug in yet.

The chicken katsu was really crispy yet tender, my crab croquette was also very crispy outside but creamy inside. The curry is a tad more intense than the other Japanese curries I've had, and the meat looks ground instead of cubed/shredded. The rice is light and fluffy! Perfect for mixing with the curry. The matcha latte was ok. At least it wasn't cloyingly sweet. At first glance the portions don't look big but it was an appropriate size for a person with normal appetite! Given that we had a late breakfast, we were full. Service was prompt and friendly. There were only three working that day; two were in the kitchen and one was serving, bussing, and cashing people out. It's a little cafe, very homey/mom-and-pop. They also sell tshirts! I didn't look very closely but I saw a Crayon Shinchan one. We parked on the street coz it was free and there were plenty open stalls at the time. I want to try their curry pan next! In a city where restaurants come and go, that kind of longevity says something. The Kurobuta Pork Loin Katsu set and Set A are our go-tos every time. The pork is consistently tender with that perfect crispy crust. And can we talk about the sesame seed crushing situation for a second, I half-joke that it should be a litmus test for any good tonkatsu place. If they hand you that mortar and pestle to grind your own sesame for the sauce, you know they're serious about the details. One practical note: seating is limited and it fills up fast, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can, especially during peak hours. The first time we ever visited, our kid was still in the stroller and we were so embarrassed how much space we were taking up. But everyone here is just in for a good time. Too bad there's no downtime or else that's when we usually like to visit the restaurant without bother other guests. Just plan ahead. Ginza Bairin has stood the test of time!

My daughter and I ordered the chicken katsu, it was yummy and my husband and son ordered the beef katsu with a side of pork katsu. I loved how they gave sesame seeds in a bowl for the kids to grind up to put in our sauces. That kept them entertained for a bit. Also, apparently this is a branch of a tonkatsu restaurant in Ginza. When we arrived, there were already a lot of people waiting outside. I went in to check on our order, and they let me know it would be another 10-15 minutes. Since it was a hot day, we wandered over to the crystal-themed shop next door while we waited. It had lots of interesting items to browse, although we ended up leaving empty handed. About 15 minutes later our order was ready, and we Ubered back to our hotel, which only took a few minutes. When we opened everything up, the portion felt a bit small for the price. The tonkatsu itself was tender, but for us it didn't quite live up to all the hype. I did appreciate that you can choose clam soup instead of the traditional miso soup, and there are different rice options as well, which is a nice touch. Overall, it was a good meal, but not one that completely wowed us given the price. It's possible the experience would have been different dining in, but with the long waitlist and the hot weather, takeout was the better choice for us.
