Pinto (left) and her husbunny Fozzie

This is the second time I've been here, and I can't find words to say enough how good it was. This time we saw Dr. Frey for euthanasia of Pinto, our elderly sick bunny. As an animal rescuer, I've been through plenty of euthanasias, and not all of them have gone as I had wished. As a physician, I've seen life from both ends of the stethoscope, and I understand the pressures and challenges of clinical medicine. I have been to academically-oriented vets (and MDs) in the past; and, while they are usually smart and up to date, they often neglact the "softer" side of medicine; i.e., the healing effect of patient comfort and family support. We can't prevent illness and death; the best we can do is to optimize wellness, manage disease, and offer comfort and kindness to the dying. Dr. Frey understood that she had three patients: our bunny, and us two humans. She gave us an incredible amount of her time. We went over the euthanasia procedure together in detail, and she addressed all my concerns. She gave Pinto a thorough physical examination to see if she concurred that it was "that time" and/or to offer alternatives if appropriate. She was very gentle with our bunny, who never seemed frightened. I was comforted to know that she agreed with our decision. For most of us, it's impossible to euthanize a beloved companion animal without second-guessing ourselves. We tend to feel guilt--either that we did it too soon, or that we waited too long, or that we didn't properly attend to our loved ones during their final days. I think that's because we, as caretakers, tend to feel as though we should have been able to "fix" our ailing animals and that having been unable do so represents a failure, even though we know intellectually that this isn't true. Dr. Frey understood our need to come to terms with our decision. She listened respectfully and with sensitivity to story after story about all the ways in which we had tried to give our bunny the best possible life, and what we had and hadn't been able to accomplish toward that end. I needed reassurance that we had been good guardians of our bunny and did right by her, and that now was the right time to offer her a peaceful passing. She offered that reassurance and more. And peaceful it was! Despite the fact that it took a long time and even an extra injection to achieve anesthesia level sedation before the final "pink stuff" injection, Dr. Frey was right there with us, supporting and never judging and never even seeming rushed. When it was time for the final injection, Dr. Frey hit the vein so smoothly, despite the fact that it was hard to hit because the bunny's blood pressure was low from the sedative. Pinto passed quietly and gently, and Dr. Frey stayed with us while I took a turn listening to Pinto's chest to assure myself that she had, indeed passed. I don't think I've ever been through a less painful euthanasia. Thank you, Dr. Frey and Full Circle Veterinary Clinic from the bottom of my heart.

Regrettably, they have a 100% mark-up on supplements as reflected on attached photos. Full Circle charged $44.50 for Potassium Citrate which Amazon sells identical product/amount for $19.90. Called to confirm the amount charged was correct prior to leaving this review. They stand by the markup indicating I paid this amount before on two separate occasions and the price had not increased since that time. Unfortunately, this does not justify their markup. Further, on those two occasions, I had no idea they were marking their supplements up by double the Amazon price for the identical product. I was also disappointed after dropping off my pet's urine for lab work. When I called for the results, they refused to have a vet speak with me regarding the findings unless I paid for their time. I support markups for profit; but, double the cost for supplements, for me, is unacceptable and greedy. Also holding urine results hostage for profit seems inappropriate. My regular vet (who is not local which is why I took the urine here) consults on these issues for free. Full Circle had examined my dog before and administered vaccinations for this pet. Therefore, they were familiar with the dog and could have opined on the findings without charge. It would have been a brief call. I opted to have the results emailed to me and my vet. My regular vet called me and gave me a quick consult for free. I am not interested in being nickled and dimed when it comes to my pet. Clients are vulnerable when it comes to the costs associated with pet care. Just be mindful of these business practices if you elect to go here.

Ponyo visiting Full Circle for the first time.

Lost a star because my review is being hidden. Not sure why or who is doing this, but I will get to the bottom of it.

First off, just want to say that I'm pretty much in love with all the staff here (minus one receptionist that I met today who wasn't the friendliest person compared to everyone else). Shawna brought me to the exam room to prep me for Dr Shannon. Back story: My sweet 12 year old dog has gotten more lame in his rear quarters and my husband and I want to prevent it from getting worse. We were told by our Vet in Tualatin park animal clinic to get rehab consult. I'm so so thankful we met who we met here. Shawna was so friendly, kind, gentle with my dog. She patiently listened to everything I had to say, asked follow up questions so I knew she was actually listening. She was just really present. Then moments later walks Dr Shannon. Something about her energy just made me feel like my boy was in such safe hands. The consult was 2 hours long but it didn't even feel that long. Dr Shannon was so so thorough, but so so gentle knowing my pup was in pain. Half way through the appointment he even fell asleep! After the appointment they gave me homework and Shawna thoroughly went over everything. She showed me what to do and all the tricks I needed to know. Fast forward a week. I can't remember the tech that took my pup back for his water therapy but I totally love her energy! She told me I could watch from outside, which I did for a few minutes as they got him set up inside the tank. But both Shawna and the other tech kept petting him and reassuring him. My heart melted knowing they were being so good to him without me being there comforting him myself. When he was done they called. The tech whose name I forgot brought him out and was so super sweet she patient telling me how he was doing and answering all my questions. She mentioned something that made my day about what a good boy he was and how he just knew what to do, and that nothing phased him. These are things pet owners need to hear because I'm honestly thinking he's scared out of his mind being somewhere new. Thank you, all of you for taking such good care of my best friend. Despite only coming here twice I want to come back all the time. I can't praise them enough.

Sofie became ill quite suddenly with acute internal bleeding from an unknown source which made it difficult for me to see her suffering. On the outside, Sofie just looked tired, but on the inside, there was really something broken and unrepairable. The cost was very reasonable for the service of letting Sofie pass in the comfort of her home. Thank you At Home Veterinary Services.

I took a leap of faith and decided to go with this company, hoping that I was making the right choice. I can now say that I couldn't have been happier with how it went. Dr Louise M. and her assistant, Heather, were two of the kindest women I've ever met in my life. They were extremely empathetic, and comforting, and they were so patient with me while I was having a total breakdown. They were gentle with my sweet boy and helped me send him across the rainbow bridge in the best way possible. I can not express my gratitude and relief enough for this company. I will continue to recommend them to anybody who will listen. They also mailed me a beautiful card with very heartfelt messages, which was very thoughtful and made me tear up (in a good way!) Thank you so much, Dr. M and Heather for making the hardest moment of my life that much easier. I will forever be grateful.

We searched online and found that Emergency Vet of Tualatin was open 24 hours. We took her there and all the staff were warm and welcoming during this stressful time. They were able to get her in to see a vet right away. We appreciate the speediness of their efforts. Unfortunately it was determined the our dog had a stroke and lost almost all mobility in her hind legs. This was a very difficult decision to make and the vet was patient and kind during the whole interaction. We chose a private cremation and paw print. When we saw the beautiful wooden box her ashes were put in it made a somber moment a little easier. I called to mention that we wanted her collar with her name tag to keep. They were able to track it down and made sure we got it. The paw print was done well and the quality was great. It was thoughtful of the clinic to send us a card as well about their condolences.

Something I didn't realize was they let our primary vet know that Maximus had passed. We hadn't even thought of it yet being he hadn't been there in a bit because of complications & it was exceptionally nice to receive a condolences card from his vet in the mail. Just another really good thing EVCOT does for their patients. THANK YOU for all the things you guys did to help get Maximus almost to his 12th birthday
