Haven't had Full Kee in a long time but since Miu Kee changed their chefs/menu- I needed to retry Full Lee again. Came on a Saturday morning and it wasn't too busy; thankfully we were able to get sat in a few minutes. The staff are friendly and attentive. Some dishes I dont know the name of in English so it was nice that some of the servers also spoke Viet (in addition to Chinese), so I could just order it in Vietnamese lol --Beef Chow Foon (Hu Tieu Xao Bo) 5/5 super delicious, HOT, tasted perfect-- did not need additional soy sauce --Deep Fried Seafood (Tôm/mực Chiên Giòn Rang Muối) 3/5- It tasted really good but the batter was interesting. It uses a different kind of batter than normal; it was similar to the kingdom pork chop batter. It was like the seafood was in a deep fried pocket, instead of being battered all around. --Water-spinach sautéed with garlic (rau muống xào tỏi) 5/5 Loved it. No comments lol --Clams in black bean sauce (nghêu xào tương đen) 5/5 -- my personal fav dish from anywhere. Tasted great. The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. Full Kee remains a reliable, authentic source for very good Cantonese and Hong Kong style cuisine in Northern Virginia. Originally based in Chinatown, this place was known for it's excellent soups, roast meats, noodles, and seafood, and it still delivers. The traditional large wonton noodle soup remains stellar. Get this instead of the shrimp dumpling version. Pan fried noodles are reliable here, but these days I lean toward the stir fried varieties. Full Kee's chewy E-Mein (aka birthday noodles) are better than those at Mark's Duck House, and that's saying something. Seafood and toast meats are great, too. I visited this spot with my family during a trip to DC after reading that it's one of the top Chinese restaurants in the area. We tried the shrimp dumpling soup, kung pao chicken, and beef with vegetables. The shrimp dumpling soup was decent--a solid 7.5/10--but it could have used a bit more salt to really bring out the flavors. The kung pao chicken was definitely the highlight of the meal, earning an 8/10 for its great balance of spice and tenderness. We came here right when they opened at 11 on a Sunday and it was a good thing we did as it got really busy shortly after. It's in a shopping center so no issues with parking. We came here for Dim sum as we often struggle to find a good, quality dim sum place. The service was alright and most of the Dim sum was pretty good so I do recommend for some authentic food. We do plan on coming back for lunch and dinner. Reservations are not required and it's pretty good for groups. We ordered a variety of Dim sum including egg tarts, chicken claws, BBQ pork buns, Spare Ribs, Steamed Shrimp Rice Roll, Steamed pork and shrimp Dumpling, and pan fried Turnip Cake. Everything was good but the Turnip Cake was just a tad soft. I also wasn't too big of a fan of the egg tart. Great flavor though. My family has frequented Full Kee for years. The family dinner sets are large portions of a variety of dishes for a rather affordable price. My go-to dishes here are the crispy spicy pork chops, fried walnut shrimp, and any of the fried rice. The crispy spicy pork chops are amazing and aren't as spicy as the name indicates. I would say sometimes the food is served rather lukewarm/cold instead of hot but besides that I've enjoyed most things that I've eaten here. The staff is extremely nice, accommodating, and can speak English, Chinese, and Vietnamese. Full Kee is located in a strip mall. When you walk into the restaurant, you'll see fish and lobsters in a tank. There is plenty of seating in the restaurant and a side room meant for larger party reservations. read more

We mainly came for the dim sum and of course with covid and everything, there's no carts pushing, had to order everything. The downfall of that is I don't know what certain items are called and have to rely on visual. The menu offered so little variety. Anyway, ordered a few popular dim sum dishes and our thoughts were just ok, very bland, the char siu was dried looking and didn't even look appetizing. This review is just for an event I attended here. I haven't been here in years so was very excited for an opportunity due to an event my friend was hosting. So this restaurant has a side room for events to be used that includes bathrooms, so a plus. However, I find the room very tight the way the tables were set up. I happened to be lucky because I came earlier but for those that came at a later time got either sat by the front door awkwardly or had to sit on the restaurant side away from the party. I will mention that the servers that were assisting were very nice and quick with any requests. For example, we wanted hot tea at our table and didn't have to ask more than once. The food portion and options were pretty good. Our table had a mix of pescatarian, and non-pork eaters. There were enough options so everyone walked away with a full belly. Even so, I wish the food wasn't cold. We were seated to the table near the back by the sound system so the food always came to ours and the next table first, so you would think hot or warm food at minimum. It was just cold. When food is cold no matter how good it is, I feel like you can't get over the cold part and think it tastes bland. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience to not go back. Like I didn't get food poisoning from the cold food and everyone was polite. But I don't think I would go out of my way to come here. read more

This is a great place to get some Chinese food. I'm never sure how to describe Chinese restaurants but this place definitely has the staple items and taste for a usual Chinese place and great dim sum options! If they have delicious cooking of the staple items and have good dim sum, it's always considered a great Chinese restaurant to me. Their dim sum has that distinct taste with each of their items. Their meat dishes are very tasty, although can be a bit on the greasy side but that's expected with these sorts of dishes of course and makes it taste good regardless. The meat is always spot on with tenderness and flavour - I can always level out how much rice and sauce I want, with the roast pig for example, to my liking. Staff are friendly and understanding too. Coming for some comfort Chinese food? You've found the right place. The employees are very nice and the time from taking your order to getting the food is very quick. We were giving old seafood fried rice. It has a moldy and funk smell and taste. It was stretchy like cheese! That's a sign that it's old and bad rice. We all had stomach issues after eating it. On top of that! We called to dispute and let management know that we were not happy that they are giving us old and rotten rice. The lady that got on the phone did not handle the call well and she had the nerve to say "we got some many orders and none complained like this... manager is busy will call back tomorrow" Lady, we still have a full box of untouched moldy fried rice that we can bring for you to see for yourself. If you don't trust your customers word, how are you running this kind of business. I'm sure the health and inspection would have a great time learning about this. I have been here several times. 1st time trying the dimsum here. Normally, I go to Vinh kee but the service is very slow and not good. Mark's duck is ok too but the service is faster than Vinh kee. For here, the service is a lot faster. But if I am craving for main dishes I love the Miu Kee. But dim sum today is not bad at all :). I love that they have sauces on table. When you eat dimsum, you need them. For Vinh kee and mark's duck, you have to ask for . For Vinh kee, you might never get sauces.. coz they never have enough server. This is always my go to for Chinese food with my family. They have a large variety of food and they cook the food really fast. They did raise the price a little but the portion is still the same. The food is always great here and the server can speak multiple languages like Vietnamese, Chinese, and English. When you come here don't expect spectacular service, the server here get the job done and I'm happy with that. I usually order the twin lobsters (~$60-80 depending) with ginger sauce and it is always great. The dish can be eaten for a whole family of 4-5 people so it is worth the price. I also order the chef special seafood fried rice but I think this dish quality is going down because they don't put a lot of seafood like they used to, it's mostly 80% rice which is a disappointment. I also order most item on the menu and they're also great. They used to give free desserts like oranges or red bean sweet desserts but I don't think they're doing that during covid now. Overall, I think every dish here is a safe choice and they're all good. Food tastes good HOWEVER I dislike places that are DISHONEST about their prices. They charge me extra 2 dollars on each dish. When I pointed that out, the waiter was playing stupid and said he had no idea. I told him that the prices didn't match with the menu. Added star for that one nice waiter who speak both Chinese + Vietnamese serving my family everytime. However, what happen today is crazy in my opinion. We ordered half a roasted pig that cost $19, ask for some pickled radish and carrots on the side. Once the receipt come, there's an extra $17 charge called "Open Food Bag", i asked the waiter, so just imagine a few cuts of radish and carrots cost a whopping $17?!! That's almost the same price as the roasted pig:/ apparently the cashier aka owner of the place can charge you whatever price if it's an added on side that you requested so just beware. Pretty decent Chinese food! This review is for take out. I ordered half a duck, dry beef Chow foon and yang Chow fried rice. I ordered and waited for about 15-20 mins. Man did it smell good once it's was done! I took it home and the duck looked good but wish it had crispy skin. There was also barely any meat on the duck but the meat that was on there was very good with the dipping sauce. The beef Chow foon was pretty good. Lots of meat and plenty of noodles. The disappointment was the fried rice. I paid a little more than the other fried rice for this special fried rice and it was underwhelming. Mostly it was just rice with a little bits of eggs, small bits of roast pork and a few shrimp. I prob could have done without the rice but overall pretty decent compared to what I have in my area (authentic wise). read more
