    Peking Duck (Half) Or (Whole)

This 30 year restaurant recently renovated and the atmosphere is much elevated with elegant furniture and overall a nice place for a celebration or sit-down meal. The food is delicious! Especially the peking duck, the spicy deep fried tofu (not that spicy, just right), and deep fried pork chop. I also loved the snow pea leaves in garlic sauce. The staff were all so nice and attentive. The owners also came out and were so friendly.

Set your expectations, this is a hole in wall - then you'll love it! Dropped off mom's car at dealer for service, walked across Arlington Blvd for early dinner. Mom got the duck noodle soup - she could barely finish- under $12 for duck dish!! My veggie casserole wasn't as cheap but full of bright veggies & tofu in light brown sauce was perfect. The service is brisk (again expectations), but for quality AND quantity for price - it's a winner!

We have been to Miu Kee for close to 20 years. It is almost like a hole in the wall kind of restaurant. The specialty is Cantonese type of food. If you are into the regular Chinese restaurant, do not go here. There are many good dishes but we settled on Salt and Pepper Fried Pork Chops, Salt and Pepper Fried Shrimp without shells, Seafood Pan Fried Noodles and Shrimp with Cashew. Sometimes, we get the Beef with Turnips Casserole, Crispy roast pig and ginger Lobster. When in season, their snow pea leaves are really good. I would say they are not always on point. Some days the flavor is off. Yesterday, all dishes were spot on in flavor. Service is like any regular Chinese restaurant. If you speak Cantonese, you will be well treated. Only service complain is their tea cost extra but it is a tea bag tea. On the flip side if you order many dishes, almost unlimited refill on white rice.

They been around for a long time but just keeps on going downhill. The food is good but they marked it up way too much. Service is ok. Plenty of seating available since they're not as busy as they once were. Sometimes the air system is turned off probably they're trying to save money. Hope they can get the business back to how it use to be.

After we attended a private event, we arrived with a small group of seven. The restaurant is located in between IHOP and CVS off Arlington Blvd (Rt. 50) and Annandale Rd. We ordered seven items: 1) Roasted duck noodle soup 2) Sauté spinach with garlic 3) Szechuan green beans 4) Deep fried salted tofu 5) Crispy noodle with seafood 6) Beef chow fun 7) Orange chicken. The broth in the roasted duck noodle soup was on point. The noodles and duck meat were tender. Both vegetable dishes were pack with flavor. The fried tofu were crispy, hot and mildly salted which makes this dish underrated, it's a must get item. The crispy noodle with seafood wasn't enough sauce but tasty. The orange chicken was very delicious and we wanted more. The beef chow fun never disappoints. It's always a group favorite filled with umami and richness. Our server is friendly, attentive and welcoming. I would make another visit to try other items on the menu.

I haven't been here for over 25+ years. Just decided to head over there since I haven't had Chinese food in awhile. It's delicious.

I came here last week and we enjoyed our food. It was a little salty, but nothing white rice can't fix. I would definitely give them another shot. We had congee, dry beef chow foon and fried garlic chicken.

We ordered the fried rice and beef chow fun, it was amazing!! This is some of the best Chinese food I have ever had!! We forgot to take pictures when the food came but I got some good ones!

Ordered dinner for takeout at Miu Kee. We ordered a ton of food! Still VERY delicious food but felt it was time to update my review. We ordered beef chow fun, combination fried rice, duck, wonton soup (tons of wontons!), beef and broccoli, Chinese broccoli, and General Tso's chicken. The fried rice was good. The wontons were very good- they were shrimp based (be warned if you have a shrimp allergy). The beef and broccoli was fine. The Chinese broccoli was definitely a great veggie dish and is what you'd expect so no complaints there. The beef chow fun was not very flavorful. It could have used more ... salt? soy sauce? not sure but it was lacking something. The General Tso's chicken had incredibly huge pieces of chicken. Difficult to share and difficult to eat (unless you had a knife?? which I feel is strange for takeout). Just overall not what one expects with General Tso's dish. I'd still recommend as a reliable takeout place. Although it's not a 5-star from me anymore, it's a solid 4-star option for Chinese food.

Fantastic Cantonese food at a very reasonable price. The food never disappoints but the service is hit or miss. Still, I will keep coming back here for several reasons. One, their wonton soup is the best in town. The shrimp and pork wontons are so fresh and the skins is soft and not thick like other wontons. Two, the char siu is flavored just right. And if you get the burnt caramelized edges, it's so sweet and rich. Three, the sweet and sour rib (Hong Kong style). Just try it. It's nothing like the Americanized sweet and sour with the thick breading. It's so good. Finally four, the Young Chow fried rice. They load it up with protein (shrimp, chicken, bbq pork) and it's delicious. I took off one star because the service is just inconsistent. Believe me coz I ate here three days in a row!! Anyway hope you try this place out. You might see me there again

The customer service is good. The food is your typical Chinese food. It's really good! It reminds me of my childhood. And the store is quiet. Definitely will be back!!

I feel like this place is a whole in the wall. I've been here since I was a kid, multiple times and I was very popular back then. Now it's kind of being forgotten. There are 3 dishes that I like to order here and it's always so savory. Inside definitely does need a little love and revamp but it's nostalgic. It has a very traditional style with lots of seat for families to eat together.

I bought it and brought it home. It was all burnt stuff. It smelled bad. Be careful. They sell things without conscience.

Everything tasted fresh and balanced, with real depth of flavor. This is fried rice done properly. The other dish was listed as spicy fried chicken or something, though it was basically a la zi ji. It was excellent. I loved the peppers, and the spices were very aromatic. The frying was done well, clearly cooked in plenty of oil, so not exactly light food, but extremely satisfying. The chicken was crisp and flavorful, and the overall execution was strong. The food came out fast, the prices were low, and the quality was high, and service was good. My friend is craving dim sum after being in the country, visiting from Hong Kong for 3 weeks. My friend is quite tan, his mom is Filipino, but he grew up in HK and speaks mostly canto and Tagalog. We tried speaking Cantonese to the staff who are speaking it to each other, so they clearly can. My friend has perfect Cantonese. Mine is ok but I am also very clearly Chinese. They replied in broken English instead. One waitress looked at my friend and handed us forks. So clearly, some racism/colorism in the staff. Context: lots of Filipinos in HK are maids and generally looked down on, so not surprised this happened here. The food was mushy and gross. The shrimp in the cheung fan was grayish. It felt like they had this ready early in the morning and reheated it for later. Siu mai was falling apart. Cha siu bao was good but how do you mess that one up? I've gotten take out from this place before in the past and I always forget why I try to not come here, they forget something every time. At this point I'm sure they're doing it on purpose, like little thieves. Anyway, this place has the advantage of being close, with so little dim sum options in the area, unless you want to make the trip to Tysons or Vienna. Or Maryland. One staff member was laying down on a bunch of chairs nearby loudly watching something on her phone. Any other day, I wouldn't complain about that, everyone deserves a break. But given the food quality and the clear racism in the staff, they should be called out for everything. As with any Asian restaurant, feel free to treat me like trash if the food is good. But this place fails in both places.
