Everything tasted fresh and balanced, with real depth of flavor. This is fried rice done properly. The other dish was listed as spicy fried chicken or something, though it was basically a la zi ji. It was excellent. I loved the peppers, and the spices were very aromatic. The frying was done well, clearly cooked in plenty of oil, so not exactly light food, but extremely satisfying. The chicken was crisp and flavorful, and the overall execution was strong. The food came out fast, the prices were low, and the quality was high, and service was good. This is an authentic Hong Kong-style place, not fancy or polished, but clearly focused on getting the food right. Five stars. I definitely want to come back.

Best Chinese delivery option in this area....BY A MILE. Don't even waste your time with anyone else. I have tried them all...twice. There is no comparison! The Kung Pao Chicken is the best I've had. The food is so well-seasoned. I cannot recall any place that does it this well. The Fried Rice is well-cooked, not dry, and it tastes great right out of the box. My only complaints: The eggrolls were very undercooked last time I ordered. Also, no one, and I mean NO ONE wants anything but sweet & sour sauce with their fried goodies. NOBODY! Start offering a side for .25 or something, or just include a small side with fried stuff. I love that they put pineapple in their sweet and sour sauce for the S&S Chicken. I have ordered takeout from North China Cafe and few times in the past year. Everytime they have been consistently excellent. All of the dishes I have tried appears to have been prepared with care and fresh. My favorites are their lo mein noodles, general tso chicken/beef, and their cheese wontons. Time passed as we almost finished with all of our dished until we asked one of the servers if our fried pork chop was coming. The server looked at our receipt order and acknowledged we did order it but told us it was sold out. Not one staff told us it was sold out when we placed the order or even when our other orders came out. We've been waiting this whole time expecting the fried pork chop not knowing it was sold out. We were asked if we wanted something else to replace the order and we decided to get the fried chicken over rice.
