Blue Bear was absolutely amazing, I just installed a 3 head Bosch mini split system in my home,…read morethis service was a complete white glove service. The install team (Nick and Andre) were super nice and professional and the project manager Jake helped me figure out the perfect system for my home. I have worked with the other project manager Zackary in the past and he was very very knowledgeable and helped me out a lot as well. This company is absolutely 5 star from the estimate to the finish of install. Can't thank you guys enough for all the hard work. Also thank you to the team in the office for booking the appointment as they were very responsive. Great work and well done!!

I had blue bear install a new combi boiler this fall, after coming down a few thousand on price,…read morethey did a great job and completed a sizable project in a day. After the boiler spend I was signed up for their "membership" but I didn't realize how expensive they were for normal plumbing needs. I thought when a quote was given for 2100 to replace a leaky drain in a bathtub it would take two people 3-4 hours. Expensive but I could understand the premium. Apparently I misunderstood and Instead one person showed up and charged 2100 for 3.5 hours... Even parts were 400, labor and general overhead was 425 an hour? The most insane part is this included a 10% member discount... Almost offensive pricing for a fairly straightforward fix....live and learn I guess. Their office explained this price was quoted as fixed fee and accounts for overhead extra time etc I'm still unsure how you approach 300 an hour for labor and overhead let alone 425.... I appreciate they provide a warranty flat cost etc, but the math just doesn't math here..it seems like other reviews are in a similar boat. Warranty and flat pricing is great but to what end? Overpaying each time? I think I'd be hard pressed to find any plumber saying 425 an hour is normal... The person who came out was excellent and super nice not his fault at all as an fyi

True Blue Plumbing & Heating - Igniter $34.95

    True Blue Plumbing & Heating

My honest review- (First the good) True Blue installed a new FHA furnace in my home in 2016. All…read moregood, very professional. I was repeatedly told it had a 10 year warranty. Fast forward 9 years, it stops working. I emailed True Blue and Steve (owner) now tells me that there was only a 5 year warranty ( I even sent them the warranty card that I registered) He did send his guy right out. Joey was very nice. He cleaned the igniter and it fired right up (but only 1 time). It took him about 20 minutes total. Joey recommended they we replace igniter and flame sensor because they were "only sold in pairs" (this was not true as you will see in the photos). (Now for the bad) I had previously researched the parts, which were $41.00 for both. I asked Joey how much it would cost to replace both the igniter & flame sensor. He said that he called his office and they said $829.00. Really? For a 45-minute job? I asked Joey to break down the parts and labor and he said "I can't do that". I then asked "that must be about 5 hours of labor, right? (they charge $145/hour) He was very hesitant to answer but replied "maybe 3 or 4 hours labor". I paid True Blue $145 (1-hour min charge) and he left. So much for taking care of a loyal customer. I ended up calling another company. They came out and did a complete tune up. They charged me $165 total for everything, including the new parts. They also confirmed that my parts were in fact under warranty (but not the labor) . I am one of those people who is very loyal to a company that takes good care of me. In this instance, I 100% believe that True Blue was trying to take advantage of me.

All three times, the cost was totally reasonable. In fact, for all 3 services combined I paid less than a single visit from a franchised plumbing company cost for a single visit. The techs have all been great at explaining maintenance for things, and scheduling with them is wicked easy.

I was told the repair would be $1,500. Although hesitant, I agreed to proceed because I needed heat. The repair was completed, I paid $1,524.90, and the technician left. I later realized I had not been provided with an invoice, so I called the company directly at 781 438 4114. The person who answered the phone emailed me an invoice. The invoice listed an HVAC diagnostic fee of $69.00, followed by "HYD 170," with no price or itemized breakdown provided. I understand that professional services and parts can incur significant costs, it is unreasonable that the part alone could account for the entire charge without any supporting documentation. I respectfully requested a detailed breakdown of the invoice through multiple phone calls and emails; however, the responses I received were dismissive and failed to provide the clarifications I sought. I am specifically troubled by the lack of transparency in the invoice I received for the installation of a combination fill valve and backflow preventer. The refusal to furnish a comprehensive itemization of the charges is unacceptable. As a customer, I believe it is my right to understand how the total was calculated, including labor, materials, and any additional fees. Transparent billing practices are essential to maintaining trust and ensuring fair business dealings. I will never use them again.
