Worst experience ever. Untrained front of house staff and on-site manager led to unnecessary injury, frustration, and public embarrassment. Management insulted us for never having done any of their activities before, blamed us for not visiting their website for activity instructions. The staff let us go into a potentially dangerous situation by not providing proper warning or even ensuring we were wearing appropriate clothing and footwear before purchasing paintball packages for three inexperienced people, including a minor. The paintballs didn't explode on impact and were most likely expired. 100% wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

The facilities were clean and they have done a great job of updating the entertainment options offered. And that is the last good thing I can say about it. HORRIBLE customer service. They tell you to book your race reservations online but when you go do that it turns out you can't just book a race online; you can only book a 2-hr adrenaline pass online. So you go back inside to book it there and three employees later no one seems to be able to just book a race; at the register mind you. And there was no one else in line so it's not like they can use crowd level as an excuse. Left with 3 disappointed kids, one disappointed dad and no race. read more

This place is so much fun! Go carting AND axe throwing??!!! Crazy fun! The racing course was definitely a good time. Taking the Sharp turns at high speed and racing all the other people was definitely an adrenaline rush! And then after that axe throwing! So much fun as always! The staff keeps it entertaining with jokes and different games. At one point some of the staff, one being the manager, jumped in to play with us for some friendly competition! It was such a good time! I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something fun to do whether family time, a date, or a corporate event. read more

This is for the paintball community only! Keep it as brief and simple as possible: Pros: 1. Definitely "beginner friendly." The packages for people that are just trying it out and/or doing it with a group aren't horribly priced. Cons: 1. THIS FIELD IS NOT SAFE FOR ANYONE TO PLAY ON. The field is made up of gravel and wood flooring inside of shipping containers which would be fine if it was cleaned. For the 2-3 years it's been there, it doesn't look like it has been cleaned once so it is slippery EVERYWHERE. There were a lot of people that took hard falls, including myself as seen in the picture. 2. The paint is horrible and expensive. They use yellow infil Valken reserves that feel like they've been on the shelf for over a year. They charge $35 for 1,000 balls. For the people that don't know the costs of paint, you could buy a full case (2,000 balls) of the same paint they have off of Amazon for $40-$45. 3. It's unorganized. They need refs and staff members that have experience or at least basic knowledge of the game and how to break up teams. Summary This field is not safe, expensive to play on, and pretty unorganized. I play competitively, and I know almost 100 people that would play on this field if it had different flooring like turf, and if the paint wasn't so bad and expensive. It's a shame that this place is as bad as it is because with it being indoor they'd be able to bring in a pretty big crowd if it had at least one of the things I listed. If you are thinking about having a party here, do everything but paintball. If you do anyway, play at your own risk. read more

I went on Christmas Eve which happened to be my birthday. It was my first time ever going. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, they clearly were concerned with everyone's safety. I was especially impressed with Brady who helped me get setup for the firsts time, and walked me through the safety orientation and equipment. I was also highly impressed with Chappel who helped me when I got to the cars and the course. Both were EXTREMELY attentive and GENUINELY interested in making sure I had a fantastic experience. My experience with them alone made me want to come back soon because you just don't find that level of care anywhere. I even asked Chappel for advice and he did a great job of doing so. Although, they weren't that crowded, so you'll have to look at someone else's reviews if you're going on a rainy Saturday. read more

Fun and fast times!!! Went there on Saturday afternoon. We had ten in our group so made reservations and paid ahead of time. This sped up checking in. Us newbies to the place went to the self-service computers on the left at registration and put in basic info. Then you move over to the right side and they provide you with your tickets and head-covering. You wait for your group # to be displayed, then you're taken to a pre-race area. You watch a safety video, then go and put on your gear. You don your head-covering, a helmet (the guy helped ensure that I had a snug enough helmet), and a foam collar. Then you go out to the indoor track and watch until they signal that it's your turn. The majority of the group LOVED it! I was just so-so on in. It was fun, but just not my cup of tea. I can check that off my list though. You should try this at least once though! read more

I must admit. Driving the go-karts is quite exhilarating. There is a safety video before you are allowed to drive. Helmets and neck protection is provided. As long as you follow the rules of the road you will have a great time. Aggressive drivers will be removed from the track. The go-karts are fun for both adults and older children. There is a seperate smaller track for younger children to drive on. When I say smaller children, I mean 5 and up. The axe throwing is much harder than it looks. While I was able to get a few throws to stick, this clearly is not my sport. It was fun to try. Hats off to the professionals. Axe throwing does make for a great teambuilding experience. Full Throttle is a bit on the pricey side. It is a great option for days when it is too hot or too cold to be outside. For our family, this is more of a special occasion type of place. read more

PLEASE GO HERE. I travel the country frequently and I am always on the lookout for quality kart racing. This is Not the average 15mph slow-karts. This place has 40mph gas powered karts that are an absolute blast to drive. I didn't want to leave. **Special shout out to my man Jon!! We were there during less busy hours and he walked the "perfect line" with us on the track. I picked up 1.5 seconds on my time after having him explain certain corners to us. along with kart racing they have axe throwing, vr gaming, axe throwing, rage rooms and more. This is a must visit. BIRTHDAY PARTIES & LARGE GROUPS BEWARE!! Most of the other reviews are for individuals, not hosted parties. I'm sure this place is great with self-service, meaning, you're not hosting a party. Background We hosted a party for my sons 16th birthday and spent more than $1,000 to have the party + food hosted, which included a birthday cake. I knew we were doomed when I was told the day of, that, their "baker" did not fulfill the cake order. No mom or dad ever wants to hear that! The good news is that the teens that were working that day went to Costco and bought a cake for my son. For that, I give this place 2 stars. The Good - Venue/location/ample parking - Teenage staff working the facility + hosting parties were very nice - large party rooms - plenty of activities - Karting - VR - bar/adult beverages - snacks The Bad - pricey - lack of cleanliness (soap and hand sanitizer dispensers were out). Newer facilities need to be high dusted and restocked, too! - party packages do not align to what you actually get when you arrive (our host was late, no utensils, we did not have UNINTERRUPTED private access to the go carts and were asked to alternate with public use which made us go off of schedule, and, the VR experience was short due to sensor issues) - VR does not work (2 units did not work properly, the foot readers did not register walking or movement which kind of defeats the purpose). I predict that based off of the extreme markup on activities and food, combined with the fact that this venue employs teenagers, that the profit is more than enough to ensure that the sensors are working for VR. Last, but certainly not least... We were told not to worry about pictures or videos as the host took loads of images and we were supposed to receive a "link" to our parties event images. It's been a month and I have not received ANY photos, only excuses and run around from sales (Samantha). Please take your own pictures if you value capturing your event and the special moments that happen. I came in as a large group of friends with our own equipment. One of our guys rented their gear and it was so bad. He had to switch guns 3 times because it just stopped working and the red headed employee behind the counter made smirky remarks every time. Now to us actually playing, we were destroying every group we played so instead of putting us into another group they instead to kick us out and blame it on our "illegal" paint color because you have to use their garbage low quality paint everytime you go there. One of our guys had a little orange paint bc they had yelled at us before and our teammate was unaware that he was using the paint. He apologized and they were still extremely rude and annoying. They also said we had multiple complaints that our guns were shooting to fast, (huh) that is how guns work. The bald megamind looking manage decided to go through all of our bags when we were playing to see if they could kick us out for something we had. When confronted about it he started to get all nervous and said that because we were in there establishment that he could go through all our bags. Just saying, if your looking for a good time but your moderately good at paintball and not under the age of 12 (most of their audience) them id suggest going somewhere else because it's seriously the worse ran establishment I've ever seen. Went to Full Throttle this week with my two daughters. They had a great time driving the go karts. We purchased a 2 hour adrenaline pass for $50/child. They ended up racing 5 times. I will say the employees working were all friendly and were working very hard to keep the operation running smoothly. This was our first time here and the girls raced three times no issue. When we asked about our next race they said we had to go back to the front and get more tickets. For the first three races, no one asked us for the tickets. They were in my pocket. I spent 15 minutes in line waiting to get additional tickets. This made absolutely no sense to me. The girls could have easily done another race while I was waiting in line. The other thing that was troublesome was some of the knuckleheads that were racing. A few did not have masks and several were driving recklessly. I know it is hard for businesses to police some of this, but if you don't show people the door they will continue to behave poorly. I purchased insurance for $1.73 for both of my girls which seemed like a waste as I witnessed a kid wreck a car and they simply put him in another car. We will come back another time and make sure we have enough race tickets. read more

This place is definitely a lot of fun but be prepared to reach deep into your pockets if you want more than 8 or 16 minutes of thrilling fun. It's $40 for an adult to go around twice. They do have a new second course that has lots more turns for more maneuvering, and I enjoyed that one the most. Bought tickets to race once on each course and they had us in races so close together we literally had to rush onto the next course. Next time I'll be asking at cashier for heats a tad more spaced out. That said the food appeared very basic and limited so not really a place I'd want to spend any more time than necessary. They do have a pool table, basketball game etc. Maybe one day they'll reduce prices. read more

We rode the go karts and had a good time as well but had to ask a ton of questions before we knew where and when we were supposed to be. They specifically have a flag to let people pass. The last 3-5 laps I had someone cutting me off. I even waved my hands in the air to get the workers attention and he raised the flag the last lap to let me pass but it was too late because the next lap was the checkered flag. SO disorganized! Told us to get here 30 minutes prior to our reservation, 1 hour later were standing in go cart area with 4 employees standing around none communicating a word to us! There are plenty of staff but no one who wants to work, you have to go find someone to help you in any given area. We bought an unlimited 2 hour pass but due to their inefficiencies only got to use 1/2 of it. read more

Heck yes! This is a place I've already recommended to my friends. You know you're in a high-rated area when you see a large group of people all come in with their own gear and suited up. (Aka, looking like professionals to beginners like me!) Anyway, prior to this, I've only ever raced go-karts at Scene 75. (Poor comparison, but that's all I got)... This is incredible and nothing like that at all! These obviously go much faster! I was in a group of four and we arrived right when this place opened on the weekend. Staff was friendly and immediately set us up with our gear and briefing. Rules and regulations were pretty straightforward...and before you know it, you're racing! I actually had a compliant initially because they kept waving the passing flag at me and it seemed impossible to let someone pass (hello, we're racing, not going to happen!) :) But let me make something clear... It's not that staff's fault if you choose not to follow the rules. FOLLOW THE RULES! (This is coming from someone that's aggressively competitive, haha). I have no real complaints. One thing that we would have liked to see done a bit differently is how they spaced out our racing iterations. Our first two were back to back, and it would have been nice to take a break between/make our own schedule so we could hang around longer. (We all raced three times). We arrived when they first opened, so there wasn't anyone else there... Next time we'll inquiry about choosing our own schedule. Highly recommended!! We'll be back! read more

We did the smash room and the axe throwing this past Saturday. Both were a lot of fun. For the smash room, you will get really hot while you're in there smashing things, but it was a lot of fun swinging around a baseball bat to break beer bottles and glassware. If you go, try lining up a couple of beer bottles close together and swing at both, it makes a cool sound. When we did the axe throwing, our coach was Logan, and he was really good at giving us tips on how to actually hit the target, and he was a lot of fun. I can't believe I was actually able to hit the target and make it stick! The bottom line is, this place was a lot of fun, with reasonable prices and a great staff. I will be back to try the VR! read more

Feels a little empty but me and my boyfriend had fun throwing axes and playing games with the axes for an hour then did 3 rounds of races, which was $60 each. not too bad. gave us something to do for about 3 hours. I went here 9 years ago and had a blast. Staff was upbeat and happy to help. I went back last weekend (July 30) and was disappointed. While I had fun actually go karting, many staff members wanted nothing to do with helping. Jasmine ( pretty sure that's her name) was supposed to help with helmets & fitting and actually rode her voice with myself & my boyfriend when we accidentally grabbed the dirty helmets instead of the clean helmets. General morale amongst staff was low. Maybe it's because they aren't being paid a livable wage/ management/ maybe they generally don't like their jobs but as someone in customer service, a little bit of hospitality can go a long way. Besides the staff, less than half off the people here are wearing masks. A few have them on under the nose, but most people walk through the doors with no mask on at all. They stay that way too, walking around bare-faced like they live here. This and social distancing are not being enforced at all and it's absolutely ridiculous. BEWARE!! Unless you are a "regular" I would not recommend this place. Clean, nice track, but the staff is clearly more focused and concerned with those who frequent the place. My son took his dad as a Father's Day gift and it was such a disappointment. We watched others go in pairs, and even singles, yet they put this novice Father/Son duo on the track with some punk that was trying to beat his own time. Even when they pulled to the side so the guy could pass, he hit my husband twice and my son once. When we brought this to the manager's attention, he wasn't the least bit concerned; nor did he try to right the situation by letting them take another run. As an amateur racer (autocross) I've become addicted to the rush of turning a quick lap. In the summertime, there are plenty of local events around to 'get my fix.' However, when the weather turns cold and the cars are tucked away in the garage, opportunities are few and far between. Videogames are fine for keeping skills sharp, but there's no feeling the turning forces, no rush! Full Throttle has filled that void with genuinely fast karts, a technically challenging course, and a great timing system to keep track of progress. These are not like the karts at your local laser tag joint, they're real racers. It's actually a little disorienting getting back in my street car and driving home, I expect it to be able to drive like the carts and almost overdrive the first couple of turns! Sure, 20 bucks a race is a bit steep (cheaper with the membership, of course) but the equipment and track make it well worth it. The crew keeps safety a top priority while still making sure you have a fun experience. Quick tip: if you're new to karting, don't get there too early in the day. The tires are cold and traction is low...a tough challenge for a beginner. Once the tires get warmed up, the grip is really impressive so let somebody else do the hard work for you and reap the rewards! read more

This is not your ordinary go-karting experience. These guys let their carts go 45mph, and the track is challenging enough for riders of all ages (and abilities) to enjoy. 7 riders are allowed on the track at a time, and each race lasts about 8 minutes. Riders are then ranked according to their lap times. Full Throttle does a good job catering to all ages by grouping kids together and then letting the adults battle it out on their own races. The races are also heavily monitored. Several staff members remain out on the track to help racers who have spun out or to pull flags on riders who are driving recklessly. All the cars can also be controlled by the staff who are able to slow down a rider if the car gets out of control. If you at all enjoy the idea of go karting, this is a place to check out. It just opened at the beginning of the month and they already seem to be doing some good business. When they're busy, it can take a while for your ride to start. If you don't wanna wait, you can go online and purchase races. Then you'll know when to show up without having to wait around. Or they also have pool tables and arcade games to keep people occupied while waiting for their race to be called. For a good deal on memberships and races, go on groupon or do a quick google search for Full Throttle coupons. Direcctions: You cannot see this place from the main road. It's tucked behind Target and a few other businesses. If you're on Kemper, look for 5 Guys, turn down Commons Dr, and continue down a slight hill til you start seeing furniture stores. I was called TODAY, to be notified that they could no longer honor my reservation because someone had reserved the entire building AFTER MY RESERVATION WAS MADE AND CONFIRMED. so unless you want to be completely disappointed I WOULD NEVER RESERVE ANYTHING AT THIS COMPANY. I ran into this place to get a gift card for someone for Christmas, & cannot give it a fair review based on that alone as far as the track.. What I can say though, is it's a great idea to have an indoor track in the city. There isn't another one that I know of. 45 mph sounds pretty great as well, so I definitely want to try it! It looks like a fantastic place to have a birthday party and I hope that they get the word spread quickly so they can make this place even more awesome! The only things I noticed is that it seems they could have made the track larger for how big that building is.. they have a game area that's kind of empty and I think they could utilize that space better. The prices seem kind of steep as well. I spent $25 which is just for one race alone and that doesn't include the rental of the head sock or helmet.. This might be reasonable though.. I'm not an avid go kart gal so I'm not sure what the prices should range. All in all, cool idea in a great area. Ready. Set. Go! read more

So it's too wet and warm to ski, too wet and cold to golf. Bowling? Seriously? Let's go racing. Took my teenage daughters, they had such a good time they TALKED about it for days. Fast karts, obviously well maintained, that feel strapped to you when properly set up (ask for help), great track layout that challenges all levels of ability, and an awesome timing system that tells you almost as much as a NASCAR team knows about their cars (OK, not really close to NASCAR). We had a great time. Family entertainment that gets your teenagers thinking you're not totally old - Priceless! read more
