I was referred to Dr Kao due to my dry mouth symptom. When I visited Dr Kao he made his assessment and realize my dry mouth might be due to my nose. He notice that my nose looks really swollen so he prescribe be 2 different kind of nose spray. Check back with Dr Kao in 1.5 months and there was no different in my breathing. He took a closer look and said I have a deviated septum and gave me the 3 different scenario on what I wanted to do. It took me a few months to decide but I opt for the surgery route since it's 90% effective. The office staff was quick and wonderful at scheduling the pre-op, surgery, and post-op. Everything was explained very throughly. The surgery facility is very clean one of the cleanest I've seen so far. The nurses (did a great job that my IV sight did not bruised) and anesthesiologist was very professional and courteous. I thought I was going to be in major pain but it wasn't too bad. Doctor said down time was a week but I only took a day off after surgery since I work from home. read more

This surgical center is very conveniently located in Fullerton (there is an ER & pharmacy around the corner); plenty of parking, a very modern facility, nice comfortable waiting room for friends & family and the nicest staff members. Everyone from the receptionist at the front office to the surgical nurse is super nice. And there are several staff who check in throughout before the procedure. Our family has been here twice and we have been happy with the experience both times. However, there is a little lacking in post-care instructions so make sure you have a list of questions prepared before your surgery to ask about what to expect in the days that follow. The instruction sheet given to take home is somewhat generic, and while you are in post surgery neither you nor your family member might be able to pay much attention to what the nurse is saying. So ask before surgery what to expect once you go home, what is normal and what is not, how your wound is dressed or maybe it's not dressed at all, etc. There is a number to call during business hours and they are very responsive and helpful. All in all this is a good surgical center, just come prepared with your post-care questions. read more

Have had a pleasant visit each time that I have gone there the lady at the front desk who I know sadly left recently because she got a amazing job to be closer to her daughter which is great she is amazing always had a relax feel which was great because I always get nervous during procedure. One deducted one star because twice I went here and had a IV Catheter placed and twice had a major bruise and pain because of a bad placement. Recently had a nurse who installed catheter at the joint where my wrist was and even the anesthesiologist had a difficult time figuring out how my wrist had to be bent so it couldn't clog it. I nervously went in for a ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy and everyone from the check in nurse to the nurses in the pre-op room to the anesthesiologist was amazing! Wonderful experience. Easy parking. Easy access to suite 100 and restrooms. I had a Cholecystectomy procedure done by Dr. McCoy. I was scared but the staff and his nurses were really comforting and assuring. It was a pleasant experience from the moment I walked in. The ambiance and decor is fresh and new. It really feels like a hotel lobby rather than a surgical center lobby. The pre-op, recovery, and operating rooms are really clean with state of the art amenities and equipment. My anesthesiologist was great. He calmed me down. Literally. It was great. THANK YOU! Cheryl Cagle, my RN was wonderful. She made me feel comfortable and had really good bedside manners. Surgery went well. 37 minutes. No issues. I recovered for about an hour and then was sent home. Cheryl wheeled me out to my car and I was able to see the Fullerton Golf Course. It was nice seeing that after surgery. Overall, great experience. I highly recommend Fullerton Surgical Center. read more

Nice, clean facility. The staff who welcomed me was very professional and helpful. My pre-op nurse was excellent, anesthesiologist was great (perhaps a little too much cocktail for my body as I had a tough wake up). The nurse who took care of me after surgery, unfortunately was far from great. I was shaking when I came to, and she told me to calm down and to stop (these was uncontrollable shaking). There were some questions I asked she responded with a "you just had surgery!" Rather than assuring me it was normal she made me feel dumb for asking. Another thing, she threw my purse on the floor. My belongings were placed under my bed while in surgery, then when she pulled the bag with my clothes, my purse was thrown on floor (its bad luck in some cultures to place purse on floor!). Anyway, I hate to complain but this nurse really made me feel awful after my procedure. I felt horrible after surgery, I think the anesthesia might have been too much on me. I woke up shaking uncontrollably, felt very nauseous and had other weird feelings. I threw up 3 times when I left facility (it was the crackers and juice I was given after surgery). Anyway, it would have been nice to have a more caring nurse than the one I had to make it a great overall experience. read more

It's so hard to get a hold of someone to answer my questions regarding the billings of my daughters surgery last March 18th, 2020. And when I finally did talked to Debbie, twice, she said they haven't receive my insurance payment to them. My insurance sent 2 proofs that FSC already cashed out the checks so they should be giving us our refund. I kept on calling and leaving voice message but not getting a return call. With what's going on right now with CoVid19, it is not the best time to hold someone else's money. I have received and paid all the bills from the surgeon down to the anesthesiologist and my refund from FSC i haven't receive. Why is it so easy to send billing statements to patients but so hard to send them their refund money. And now their website is no longer active. Today, i will start getting help for me to get my refund back and to complain about this facility. read more

First of all I have to start by saying how lovely the surgery center is. The waiting room looks like it's fresh out of a decor magazine. Everything is very new with a cozy modern feel to it. Well done! Upon check-in I was greeted by a lovely lady with dark curly hair, what a sweet receptionist. As I was checked into the pre-op I was taken care of another lovely lady named Lacey. Lacey was the sweetest nurse, really comforting and professional at the same time. Thanks Lacey for pulling for me!! God bless us mamas and our mamas.. And Jane oh dear Jane, my soul sister! Dear God bless your smart-&$$! You are such a light in this world. In the least weirdest-creeper way possible I LOVE YOU! You made me laugh and almost pee myself! You singlehandedly made me want to stay just so I could crack sarcastic jokes and laugh the day away! Then to follow up days later after I was waaay out of your sights, a true sister! You are a true asset to this company and anywhere you go! I went there for an epidural which i have had many times before. I have also had ablations on my lower back at St Jude Medical Center outpatient surgery center with all good experiences. This place is a joke, the nurses are so unorganized. I had three different nurses attending to me at different times, I didnt know who my nurse was. They were all running around asking each other questions like they just opened up but one of the nurses told me they had been open for seven months already!!!. I asked for a ice pack and it took them twenty minutes to locate one. The first nurse tried to put an IV in my wrist and was unsuccessful, i have a huge bruise almost a week later. It took three nurses to start an IV on me. The man next to me also had a failed IV they had to do it twice. They left my bed rail down on my IV side the whole time until they took me in for my injection. They moved me over onto table in procedure room and went to move gurney away from table and got the tubing from my nasal cannula caught on gurney and pulled my head hard, I had to yell stop. They made sure to get my phone number so they could check up on me, as I am writing this its been six days and still no phone call. read more
