Today I stopped by to have a few drinks. The bar was clean and bright. It is welcoming with a relaxing atmosphere. There is a large tree in the middle of the lounge. The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable of the drinks. They were also able to recommend drinks based on someone's typical drinking preferences. My 1st drink was the midnight margarita. This was a well balanced, complex drink that brought your palate on a journey with every sip. For my second drink I got the spiced daiquiri. This was not what I expected. It was more of a sweet dessert martini than spiced daiquiri. It was too sweet for my liking. I have a few days staying here so I look forward to trying some of their other drinks and some of their food over the next few days.

I came to Austin for a couple of days, and this place truly made my trip memorable. The service was amazing! Recep kindly guided us to the Fulton Lobby Bar, and a special thanks to Volkan who took great care of us there. We tried a few dishes and cocktails -- everything was delicious and flavorful. We also loved the atmosphere and the live music. Highly recommend!

The worst service tonight while sitting at the bar. We had to flag bartenders twice for drinks while sitting at the bar. They appeared to busy chatting with each other or preparing garnishes and other things over the customers and we were only 2 of maybe 4 total at the whole bar. Other nights it's been awesome, but this crew needs to be talked to! They are bad!

    Ceasar salad with salmon

My family stayed at the fairmont while visiting so we had a few drinks here over the weekend and some food. I ended up getting a ceasar salad with salmon. The salad itself was really good but I had to ask for some extra dressing because it was pretty dry but their dressing is made in house and was so yummy. I added salmon and it was alright but pretty plain. Would've been a lot better if they did a blackened salmon or just seasoned it some more. Our servers were all very nice and the bartenders did a great job even when they were super busy. Overall, very cute nice hotel bar!

The service was amazing! I really loved the live music and the large windows see the rain! My only issue was I ordered a well done steak (I don't like to see red)... when I got to the middle of the steak I noticed it was still red but at that point I just didn't want it anymore and gave the rest to my spouse he didn't mind. Overall a decent experience.

We stopped in at Fulton before a recent dinner reservation at Garrison. It's the "lobby bar" in the Fairmont Hotel. Very nice, comfortable and welcoming social gathering space. The center piece of the space is the large live oak tree in the middle of the area. Pretty cool! They serve light food there all day, but we were there just for cocktails. Service was good. The drink menu is filled with off -the-chart specialty cocktails, and the prices were not bad. Expansive wine list as well, including both Old World and New World offerings. We would stop by again when in the area.

The lobby bar / restaurant at the Fairmont. I didn't order food, but the space itself is open and comfortable. Especially before actual opening hours, it's a nice space to lounge, read a book and drink coffee. It was also a nice space for my 2 year old to run around. She was fascinated with the pretty and tall plastic tree that serves as the focal point of the space. At night the space livens us with live music and a busy bar. I only ordered a beer, but I found the service to be good. It was a great casual environment to catch up with friends. We were in town for a conference and this was a good spot for everyone to meet.

Nice ambiance and they made a certain cocktail they didn't have their menu. Waitress was sweet, but it seemed like maybe they were understaffed at the bar. It took a little while to get our drinks and it wasn't busy yet.

The bar at the Fairmont. Good drinks options and they have some small food plates you can order. Service was on the slow side. They get a 1 star upgrade for having live music which was awesome.

Love the piano player vibe and the ambiance is nice, love the colors. I was less than impressed with the kindness and timely service by our waitress. We came for drinks though and they tasted delish!

We visited on Christmas Day and it was relatively busy, but there wasn't a wait. We were walking around looking for a light lunch as we had dinner plans later in the day. We checked out Rainey Street, but almost everything was closed. The wife and I split the burger and fries. They split the order on two plates and I'm pretty sure they gave us WAY more than a normal portion of fries. The burger was cooked the way my wife likes, but a little much for my preference. It was still really good and the fries were crispy and salty. They gave us small, single use Sir Kensington ketchup and now I need to find where to buy that. I got a draft beer and an old fashioned. Their drinks, like their food, was a little on the pricy side, but it was a nice restaurant in a nice hotel.

Fulton is the only sit down restaurant open right now at the Fairmont Austin. They have a limited menu with some rotating selections during the week.. The COVID-19 precautions were in place where encouraged to wear masks until seated at the table. The staff did a great job with keeping the environment safe. The menu is viewed using your phone and contained a wide variety of options. I ordered the Roasted Half Amish Chicken with a glass of Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc. The place was quiet with a few others dining in. Normally we sit at the bar but it was unavailable due to the virus. The Amish Chicken was delicious with the meat falling off the bone. The whipped potatoes were good as well. It was fulfilling. The highlight of our dining experience besides the tasty chicken was the bartender recognized us from the last time we were here on our wedding anniversary, and stopped by for a visit. This was true exceptional and never forget this.

This bar makes excellent cocktails, and the atmosphere is pretty and sophisticated. Seating is limited, but it's worth the wait. The holiday decorations are so beautiful, and the bar has a special feeling to it. The Old Fashioned Amigos is a must-do for tequila and scotch lovers.

We weren't looking for much by way of menu just a few snacks or small bites for Girl Dinner. We found just that here. The Sumac and pepper popcorn was to die for! I can't remember whether it was described as dramatic as it showed up, but let me tell you there was drama! It was served in a flaming skull, garnished with beautiful flowers and fresh fruit, and filled to the brim with God knows how much alcohol and juice, but it was a time! To heighten the experience, he sprinkled something in a shaker and the flames just erupted! The whole restaurant stopped and I cackled! To put out the flame, Noah gave one dramatic clap, and the flame disappear disappeared! I would say 2.5 stars but I'll land on 2. The first time our server was an absolute nightmare. I honestly don't know why she was called to work at an upscale cocktail bar with such a disdain for her customers. I had a reservation with my husband and our other friend and she just seemed to generally dislike us and anyone else she interacted with. No smile, angry. I don't mind people not having a permanent smile, I can have a RBF myself, I get it. But my husband ordered a table side martini and this comes with a personal interaction with getting your custom martini at the table and I promise you there is nothing she wanted to do less with her day than make a drink at our table, and had no clue what she was doing. She was just potion mixing reminiscent of things I did in the pantry as a kid. She didn't know what to ask that he wanted and was just dumping a little of this, a little of that. He tried to make conversation because she's literally there kneeled at our table doing this, and supposed to be asking for preference on the drink, but not really saying anything. He asked "Do your friends always have you making the drinks because you know how to make good ones?" Her response was a deadpan "My friends are poor." Well. That's awkward. We didn't know what to say to that. When she was done mixing things she realized she hadn't made enough to include a sidecar which is part of this custom drink order. So what did she do? She mixed a bit of this and that again from the random pretty little bottles on her tray with no mind to what was actually being concocted and it was 100% different than what was in the glass. It was even a different color. The drinks made by the actual bar were good, but the server was so dismissive that it was just annoying to ask for anything. The second time we had a different server and he was very pleasant and as attentive as he could be, given the random massive crowd that appeared around our 6pm reservation time. The whole point of Powder Room is to relax and have an intimate, no phone experience, and this requires a reservation. For some reason they decided to let in some random 30 person wedding party or something that had no reservations and just stood basically with their butts in the face of all the seated reservations. It was such a loud volume in there that the server couldn't even hear us and brought the wrong drink. We decided it was too much and left. They did apologize stating they didn't know this was going to happen. Well, you have control over letting people in and this was a choice. I get there was money to be made off a large, random group, but it was at the expense of us as locals wanting to come back again.

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.
