On Super Bowl Sunday, we pulled an audible and decided to come to Revelry after the other place we had originally planned to check out was dead. It ended up being worth it. The sound and TVs were all pretty great for watching the game, and they had a ton of space. It was nice having the fake grass and picnic tables in the outdoor areas because it really added to the vibe while still being well shaded throughout. The food was good. During the game we shared the Fried Pickles, which were crispy and well breaded with good pickle chips, as well as their Green Chili Queso, which was also excellent. The chips had good seasoning and the queso was thick. For a main entrée, I ordered the patty melt. It was melty with good flavor, but I would have preferred chopped onions over sliced onions. The Sriracha mayo was great and added a kick I was not expecting. The drinks were decently priced for East 6th all things considered. I was not drinking that night and ordered a mocktail variation of their Lavender Haze using zero proof Empress gin instead of the regular Empress gin. They still charged the same price, which felt a little unfair, but it is what it is. Overall, it was a great experience and a solid bar for games. I could see myself coming back for another event since they handled a large crowd well. Aesthetically, the spot is really nice too, which adds to the positives. Not bad for a last minute decision. I haven't been here in 6 years!! I actually stumbled upon this place by accident today I kept thinking of 2nd Bar + Kitchen and mistakenly confused it with Revelry Kitchen + Bar for some reason! This was a good mistake! You order at the bar and pay and the server brings the food. I ordered the wings and waffles which came with a 5 piece and one large waffle ($16). This combo comes with fresh bacon bits on top and chives. We also ordered a mimosa carafe (with pineapple juice) which was only $12! Such a great deal! My meal was great and the servers were such nice gentlemen! There's outdoor seating and TVs inside if you enjoy watching football. This is a very casual place so you don't need to dress up. Revelry seriously has some of the best bar food you can find on E 6th street. This is our GO to spot if we need to eat during our bar hopping adventures. You can't go wrong on the menu, everything is solid. My fave is the buffalo chicken wrap (fried or grilled) with blue cheese dressing and sweet potato fries. It's pretty reasonably priced too which I appreciate. The service is good and the vibes are good. One of my fave spots to watch sports and have a delicious meal! read more

Revelry never dissappoints. Since moving here 2 months ago, I've popped in 5 or 6 times. When it's slow, the always friendly staff chit-chats with me. When it's busy, they're less talkative but still cool. Like today, a busy NFL Sunday. I was probably the only guy who cared about the Bucs/Jets game. I asked the doorman about it. He quickly grabbed a (I think) manager who quickly found an open TV for me, with an open table in the shade, directly in front of it. It was during brunch (11-3) and I had some amazing chicken wings & waffles with a few beers and a shot, watching my Bucs squeak out a win. It was pretty awesome. It's a fun indoor/outdoor sports bar and I'm lucky to live within walking distance. ;-) read more

We visited Revelry Kitchen + Bar in Austin, TX last week and I'm glad we did. It's a chill sports bar with lots of seating outdoors. They do have indoor limited seating at the bar. Although there is plenty of benches and tables with televisions showing the football games. We ordered the six buffalo wings, patty melt, and loaded cheese fries. The wings were delicious and crispy with good flavor. The patty melt was a bit salty, but the loaded cheese fries were crispy and tasty. Our server was quick and friendly. Revelry is super cute! It has a big patio that looks like it would be fun when the weather is good. The inside is pretty small but also seemingly good for groups. They have big tables with lots of moveable stools for the tables and bar. They do deliver food to the tables, but I think you have to order everything at the bar. At least that was my experience. Drinks were good. Not an overly fancy, over-priced cocktail bar. Also not a dive bar. A just right bar and kitchen! I didn't try any food, but it smelled good. Great outdoor bar with tables and TVs to watch sports. I came on a Saturday afternoon to watch college football and it was a great spot. They have good drink deals on the weekends and the food looked pretty good for bar food. Great HH spot!! Their brussel sprouts are fantastic. They use a maple sriracha bacon sauce and it's addictive, not to mention they are discounted on happy hour. I also enjoy their RK burger. The vibe outdoors is fun, it's open air with mist fans blasting and a roof overhead. Dog-friendly and saw several dogs there. There are big TV's as well to watch the games. You seat yourself, pull up the menu on a QR code, and go to the bar to order. There's paid street parking and small parking lots nearby. As for the food, it's mediocre bar food. I tried a couple recommendations from other reviews, namely the pretzel bites and the wings (Asian garlic flavor), both of which were very average in taste. Back from my January weekend trip in Austin, I remember we had left Lazurus Brewing searching for a last stop to watch the Jaguars/Chargers game and grab some last minute drinks and eats. Arriving, it was packed but we found a bench outside in front of the tvs allowing us to watch the game unfold as my buddy went inside to order for us. Due to the cold temperatures outside, I went with an irish coffee to warm me up. Served in the coffee cocktail glass with the whipped cream topping, it does what any irish coffee does: wake me up warm! Probably the best part of our stop here. Food was order consisting of parmesan fries and the fish tacos. The fries have crispiness but the parmesan add is a rip-off since it's only a couple sprinkles of it. As for the fish tacos, the slaw and salsa add flavor since the blackened fish is somewhat bland. Some reviews mentioned bland food here; I hope that's not a recurring theme although in our case it was for the fish part of the tacos. Since there's a lot of people here, especially on a Saturday night, you'll be shoulder-to-shoulder with people inside or amongst a sea of people in their mid 20's-30's outside. So if you're looking for a quiet evening with your boo, go somewhere else. If you like the chaotic mix of different personalities getting their drink on, then you'll fit right in here. read more

We went to see a bball game and have a meal. The veggie burger was delicious and my partner's salad was fresh and large. Ambiance and service was great. The manager was very helpful in getting us settled and connected with our Lady Lunghorns game. This place could do so much. I've lived on the east side for five years, in Austin for 17. I've been in here once. Honestly, the vibes are off. It's givin "owners/management don't care." It feels extremely generic. Like the chilis of the East side without the irony and nostalgia. I bet if they let the employees have their own playlists it would level up. The kitchen is open late. They have a decent menu; it's like they are making decisions to actively keep it below radar and not have a welcoming vibe. That's their prerogative. Went here as a stop just for fun, it was busy (as expected for St. Patrick's Day weekend). Drinks are priced as expected (nothing below $10) but vibes seemed okay! Only gripe was boyfriend asked if the bar was offering green beer, and the bar tender treated him like he was stupid saying "it's not St. Patrick's Day- that's tomorrow" oh okay!! That's why everyone is dressed in green all weekend right? Because not everyone can celebrate a St. Patrick's day on a Monday!! First of all, for service and vibes alone this place is a 10/10. If I was just reviewing the friendly bartenders it would definitely be all 5 stars for sure (and the DJ on Friday night was also killin' it). The food in general left me a little underwhelmed. I got an order of tots with Queso which came out super hot and crispy. The Queso was a little bland so I think I'd get ranch or ketchup in the future. I also got the fish tacos bc I was on a taco kick. They were also just fine. Those in our party who got the fried chicken sandwich seemed to love it so I think I missed out by not ordering that. Bf and I were looking for a brunch-y place that was open with availability on a busy Sat of ACL weekend 1 and walked over to this place. It was about 1030am so not too late, ID checker at the door otherwise we sat at the bar and quickly attended to by the bartenders. Decor is definitely a college sports bar but not dingy. I ordered a pretty regular breakfast, of what I can recall, eggs, bacon, potatoes and he got the breakfast tacos which were highly recommended and French toast. No complaints!
