We had a rental house in Poipu about 5 minutes from this facility. One of the perks of our rental was we had access to this facility for the duration of the stay. Our kids are twin 11 year olds and a 7 year old. I was a bit worried about not having the hotel facilities (pool) while staying in a rental house. That's why us having access to this place was so huge for our trip. We weren't here everyday, but having it as option was huge. Facilities: They have a pool with a waterslide, sandy beach area, gym facilities, athletic courts, and their own restaurant/bar. They also have poolside service for drinks and food. We ate at their restaurant the night we flew in as we were tired from the travel day. We let the kids swim then had dinner. Very convenient and the food was decent. Service: We had great service at the pool and restaurant/bar. Food/Drinks: Large selection of the usual tropical drinks. Decent selection of food. Food is good but not great. For the atmosphere though it will definitely get the job done. Prices are very reasonable for drinks. Think 11 or 12 where if you were at a resort probably closer to 20. Food Prices decent also. They had a great special on Mimosas on Saturday and Sunday during the day. Final Thoughts: This place definitely enhanced our trip immensely. We still hit the beach daily and did some activities around the island, but having this as an option was great. I would rent the same house again just because it came with access to this spot.

There's bad words graffiti up on the top near the slide. My 8 year old knew it was a bad word written. There isn't any seats around the playground, but a few benches outside the playground. It's located in town which was convenient for us. There's lots of parking so we didn't have an issue there. But I can see when there's events or games at the park, it might become very busy.

Our day walking adventure trip on Kauai is about to come to an end. Kalena Park, I like this park! We utilized one of the picnic benches to listen to our music, hydrate and catching up on social media, cell phone break! I noticed the park is very clean, ( except for the restrooms) loved the huge planters & trees! There's a basketball court and small playground area, about 7 bright picnic tables, parking is along the side and back of the park . I am surprised to see no homeless camping out but more chickens here! We were the only ones at the park until later a family arrived and eating their take out lunch. My other half went to use the restroom before he left, which looked clean from the outside but it was really dirty and messy inside. Kalena Park was part of a renovation project back in 2019 and Līhu'e Loop is an ongoing project to promote physical activity in Līhu'e's town core on the island of Kaua'i. Over the coming years the Līhu'e Loop Community Action Group, coordinated by Get Fit Kauai, endeavors to use information technology to generate and sustain interest in exploring the walking tours that start & end at the centrally located Kalena Park.
