This place is dive bar in the most perfect form. Cheap, Strong drinks, cool bartenders, happy customers. I seriously love this place. I always have a great time whenever I end up here. Brand new music player (it's way too modern to be called a juke box) and it doubles as a photo booth that will send or upload your photos directly. Great idea! This is my absolute favorite gay bar in town. Everyone is always so friendly. Drinks are strong (No credit card machine, so bring cash) but not expensive. Excellent Staff. Even though Andrew doesn't work here anymore the other bartenders are awesome. Josh barely looks old enough to be in the bar, but he is such a delight. Never without a smile on his face. This has always been my favorite place to drink in Vegas. They always have really fun Hogtenders!! Will was awesome during my visits last week. The drink prices are always amazing and they have happy hour like 16 hours a day. It was a great time and can't wait to visit again. I had to check this place out, seeing as how it was within walking distance of Firefly, and it's called Funhog Ranch!!! I mean, how can I go to Vegas without telling people I've been to the Funhog Ranch??!! It sounds so dirty and the logo is of a gay cowboy riding a pig!! You can't get much better than that! This is a good local, after work, gay bar (which in Vegas means slightly divey). It looks like crap on the outside, but on the inside it's basically a rec room from the 60's (reminds me of the old R Place in Seattle when it was on Pike street). Lots of wood (lol!). I mean wood paneling. Sheesh. The monitors over the bar seem to play softcore porn and commercial television at the same time. When I was there they were showing highlights from the International Mr. Leather whatever bullshit (eww!) on one monitor and a home improvement show on the other! The bartenders/servers were friendly. Jukebox leaved a lot to be desired. All-in-all a good place to hang out. read more

I was visiting Las Vegas and wanted to check out some of the local gay bars. Fun Hog Ranch is a bit off of the Strip so be sure you have a car or have the Uber/Lyft app ready. There's plenty of parking should you drive here. Yes, this place is a little but of a dive but not sketchy. There is a central bar with some booths along the side. I came here on a Saturday evening around 10 pm and there was a good lively vibe to the place. I got a beer and then stayed for about 30 minutes. I'd say most of the people here appear to be locals or came here as group of friends. I being a lone visitor probably did not have as much fun than if I had brought a friend or two. The Hog, as I like to call it, is the perfect spot for a cheap, non-pretentious cocktail. At its heart the Hog is a gay bar, but it's so welcoming that you'll find a nice mix of people inside. Be sure to try the infamous Trash Can ($10 at this point in time) which is essentially a high octane 24oz AMF complete with a full can of Red Bull. Perfect thing to kick off a night of debauchery. They also do 2 for 1 drinks daily (exact times vary). My only beef with the place is that you'll come out smelling like an ashtray even if you're in there 5 minutes. Fun bar tucked off Twain close to the Strip. The neighborhood is NOT good so use common safety sense but there is plenty of parking onsite. Great drink specials, music videos and theme nights. Most of the staff are very engaging and friendly from your first encounter of ordering. A few are more business like with no smile and just the order/pay. Cash only bar. It's not fancy, but folks are friendly over all. More mature and bears but everyone welcome. For a fun, no attitude evening, with great drinks and service it's worth a visit. I've been coming to the Fun Hug Ranch for 2 decades. Never again. I took an Uber from the strip last night (8/22/22 - 11:45pm) and ordered a vodka rocks. The bartender asked me if I knew how to play the built-in gambling games on the bar. I said no. He told me to put in a $20, play $1, then I would get the $19 back and my first drink would be free for gambling. I did what was told. When I went to make a move on the screen, it said that I had no money in there. The player/bet lights weren't even up. I called the bartender over and he said "yeah, you must've played it all". But here's the gotcha, I never pressed a single button on the screen because I did not know how to play it. They unapologetically hustled me out of $20. I'm assuming because there were only 4 customers. The bare tender placed blame on my, so I paid for my drink and left. $20 in unrest, $20 hustled by the bar and 5.50 for a drink. Don't trust the bartenders at the Fun Hog Ranch was an expensive lesson to learn. read more

As a resident of Silverlake, Los Angeles I'm ALWAYS down with the dive bars. This is a simple, friendly, inexpensive neighborhood bar where people come to hang out. And I'm sorry but you just can't beat the name, LOVES IT! If they made T-Shirts I'd buy one for everyone back home. Just a suggestion to the management. I imagine this place gets pretty rowdy on the weekends with all sorts of delightful debauchery. It kind of reminds me of a saloon from one of those old western movies. Happened to include this bar on my last trip to Las Vegas - The Second Annual Dive Bar Tour . . . and at the time did not know it was a gay bar . . . but it turned out to be a really good dive bar. We were there for happy hour and got the $5.00 all you could drink Pabst from 1 to 4 . . . just glad we did not stay the whole three hours . . . it would have been scary. The bartender told us about the duct taped mirror and booths . . . I would have loved to see that . . . car hits outside of building . . . and a bunch of queens running around like divas after it rocked their world . . . hee / hee / hee . . . I love a good ole divey bar, and this one fit the bill in all the right ways. Don't misunderstand "divey", I mean, no attitudes, no frills, and tons of fun. This place was great, friendly, sexy and hot. I visited 3 times while on a recent visit and will be back for sure. The staff was friendly and efficient. The patrons were awesome, sexy and laid back. I liked that there were at least 3 gatherings (birthdays and such) of friends, this tells me that this is a great spot to check out the eye candy and hang with your peeps. Thanks Fun Hog! This is a Dive Bar, that's for sure. The bartenders don't seem friendly at all, except for Josh. He's a great bartender. The lighting is dim. They have peanuts, I love peanuts! (they put them out so they dry your mouth out and buy more drinks :P) The drinks are very inexpensive. I would suggest going to this place to get a good buzz/drunk going and THEN hitting a club. Bathrooms here are kind of dirty, the doors don't lock, and it's hardly clean. Again, it's a dive bar. Don't expect much from this place. Bring good company and you'll have a good time. read more

What's not to like: Hot guys that are unpretentious. Stiff drinks that are cheap as hell. A jammin' jukebox. Awesome, attentive bartenders that are quick to remember what you like to drink. I like to mingle with the locals...most of them are friendly but, as with any bar, it can get cliquey...just don't let it get to you and you'll be fine. Legitimately my favorite bar in Vegas. I first discovered this bar a few years ago when a guy I was meeting up with wanted to meet there. Looking at it from the outside, I really wasn't expecting much. It's a definite dive bar. Going in though I was greeted with great music (that varies depending on whose requesting it), a ridiculously friendly atmosphere, extremely heavy handed bartenders, and a place that just over all felt like home. It gets pretty packed some nights, especially when there's an event going on, to where there's only standing room. I usually like to show up around 9 with some friends, post up in a booth, and stay for a few hours. On the busiest nights, it does get kind of smokey, but they've got air purifiers installed on the ceiling at different points in the bar that suck all the smoke up. If you really hate cigarette smoke though, I wouldn't recommend going on a busy night. Overall, this place is amazing and my favorite bar. I would highly recommend it to anyone. read more

Of all the times I have been here, I can't believe I have not done a yelp review. This is a great little "local" hole in the wall gay bar with really cheap drinks! It is close enough to the strip, that if you were visiting and wanted to play with the locals this is a good place to start! Tip of the day....Wear machine washable clothes, because you will stink like a dirty ashtray after you leave. That is not an uncommon thing in Las vegas, no matter where you go. But this place is a bit smaller so it seems a bit smokier to me. I always have fun here! Sometimes with the gang I am with, sometimes strolling around and meeting new people.
