I have pushed my scooter miles and miles more miles than it actually ran on the road. Every single item had to be replaced one by one including fried wires & hoses. WARRANTY Was supposed to be covered per the original contract NOT TRUE, each time the mechanic had to come out I had to pay a fee of $50 plus the parts cost. Later to find out that the kind mechanic was never getting this money for his service. SHRAM Has spoken vulgarity to me, my disabled mother and my friends. He is a mean and nasty man and when I asked him "how do you look at yourself in the mirror and sleep well at night knowing that you treat your customers with enormous disrespect"?! and he replied "I sleep just fine"! Please reconsider doing business with this company called Fun Riders ... they should rename the business "not so fun walking your scooter more than it rides on the street".If I could give this rating a -10 it would be a no brainer! Shram just harassed via text today again.. attacking my review and threatening me. Also saying I have no God that looks out for me .. what the heck man?!? Total jerk! I have purchased scooter from Shram and he promised me 90 day warranty. He said that the scooter had no problem going up the hills. I was going up a small(i really mean SMALL) hill and the scooter turned off on me. He made me call the other vendor who he bought the scooter from. He said that this scooter cannot go up any hill. He brought it back a week later and told me that he fixed it. However the battery life after a full charge got cut off into half. I'm guessing he just disconnected the battery that wasn't working. Once the battery reaches half, the scooter just shuts down off on me. Now it won't even turn on. Now, the vendor is asking me 100$ for the scooter repair. Please, you will save way more money if you avoid this store. read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. There guy came to my house and used my tools to put on a motorcycle tire. First thing, he wasn't wearing a mask and kept smoking cigarettes. Then he puts it on my rear tire backwards. he had to take it off and it took a total of two hours to get the tire back on my Electric motorcycle altogether. Then He checked my electrical And couldn't find where the short was that I had on my meter for the battery and speedometer. So he put it back together and left. After he left I got on my electric motorcycle and it used to be able to go 50 now it only goes 19 miles an hour. I had my buddy fix my bike and he told me the wheel was put on wrong. Also my rear rim and my back motorcycle break were scratched up pretty badly. Almost could've been enough to go to small claims court, but I decided not to do that. Super pissed off read more

Oh. My. GOD! These guys are magic. I had purchased a BMS Roman 150 scooter from a friend of mine. When I went to replace the battery, the alarm system on my scooter went ballistic. After many failed attempts to resolve the issue on my own, I decided to have a pro check her out. I had her towed to Fun Riders, where she was purchased. They immediately got to work on her. They practically took her apart to get to the root of the problem. Not only did they resolve the issue with the alarm, but they also went the extra mile to fix an (unknown to me) issue with the carburetor. The price for the maintenance was EXTREMELY reasonable. I had a Chinese electric scooter/bike that was giving me problems. The owner convinced me a brand new one (same exact bike) wouldn't do that. I drove it home and it broke down on the way home. After about a month (I got a 90 day warranty) the bike would go five miles and turn off. I called them a dozen times and was promised a call back each time. I was never called back and they never fixed the problem. He managed to drag out the promised call backs until it was past the warranty date, so now I have the "five mile bike" that I can take to places nearby, and then it's done for the day. I will never go back there for a bike or repairs and I'll certainly warn my friends not to go there for anything. read more

I'm not tracking the negativity in some reviews here. I had a very good experience. I have an E-Zip electric bike that I use to commute from North Hollywood to Sherman Oaks after I got sick of burning the gas and doing my part for global warming in a bad way. In any case, the bike developed a slew of problems. The rear rim bent badly, and there were broken spokes. Then, the power controller came apart disastrously. Getting an E-Zip fixed is not a matter of taking it to just any bike shop. I prayed there'd be an authorized dealer somewhere in L.A. To my thrill, there was one across the street from my gym. Seriously. The bike gods shining on me. I took it in. It got diagnosed. And it got fixed. It's actually better than before. The new controller they put on is more functional, and the bike just feels zippier. The final cost was 168, which felt reasonable to me. The whole thing took a week, start to finish. Anyway, I'm good with them. Very good. Very very good. read more

I found this small shop while driving on Van Nuys Blvd. I stopped in and asked if they can repair my Daughter's electric Razor Scooter. Without any hesitation, the gentleman explained in detail to me the common issues with these scooters (which can be many problems) and said he would take a look at it. Long story short, he fixed the scooter and billed me only for the batteries which happened to be the only issue. He was very honest and I left very happy. I later returned and purchased a second Razor which was slightly used but ran perfect. The price was excellent and now my Daughter has two scooters, one for her and the other for a friend. Also to mention he has a wide variety of electric scooters, electric bikes, go carts and parts as well. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with absolute grade A customer service. I was able to get a DOT helmet which I had been searching for in the valley all day at only $65. This shop is great and has tons of random little parts you might not find anywhere else. My only suggestion would be to have a bigger inventory for example they did not carry my size of gloves. Bought a motorized bicycle. Was told the engine and bike was brand new. Shram Teymouri is the name of the owner. Excuse me but he is a complete AWhole! Has the worst business skills ever! He sold me a product that ended up being broken and took it right back the next morning considering I bought it right before they closed. When I took it back the owner wanted to let me trade for another one that he ranted was better than what I origanlly bought. But wanted to charge me 150 dollars extra. I said I'd pay 20 bucks. And he said let's make it 40. I rode the bike not even half a block and the chain fell off in pieces. Went back to the shop and asked for my money back. The owner was no longer there and had to communicate with the mechanic over the phone that he would give me back the other bike and my 40 dollars. I waited for him to get back so I would be able to get my whole amount back and leave every bike with him. They don't work anyways. But Shram wasn't ok with that. He wanted to keep the money and tell me to never come back. And proceeded to yell and harass me with racist comments and sexual indo windows. He was extremely rude. I don't know why people are giving this place such a hard time review wise. So I will write a lengthy review about my experience. I met Shram (the owner) a couple of months ago. He never pressured me into a sale or anything like that. I had done a ton of research and window shopping. The lowest I could get a big brand bike dealer that starts with an H was 5800.00 for the smallest/cheapest bike they had. I saw ads online for the MotoBravo150 hornet and found out that Fun Riders was a local dealer for them. The second or third time I stopped by his shop there was a family of 4 or 5 people all super mad, telling me to steer clear of the place,. But something seemed off about the people so I hung around to see what the deal was. Turns out they brought in a old, not running beach cruiser with a lawnmower engine that someone had Frankensteined onto the bike . They were mad because the chain was rubbing the tire and didn't want to pay for getting the motor running. Not sure what they expected from a home made beach cruiser with a motor strapped to it... To those people I say, You can polish a turd all you want it will still be a turd! So, I left and headed to the internet to do research. I found out that in the last few years Chinese scooter are SLOWLY starting to have a slightly better track record. the biggest reason Chinese scooters are so inexpensive. They need to be carefully gone over with a fine tooth comb for loose screws and other little things to make sure China's Non-existent quality control didn't miss anything. ( search for Chinese scooter tips and maintenance) This place sells mostly Chinese made scooters and little dirt bikes that cost a fraction of the price compared to big name brands. You can do all the research you want. Chinese bikes are cheaper, and that's NOT always a bad thing... If you are a mechanically inclined at all, then a Chinese bike is your best money saving friend ;) . Also as far as the MotoBravo 150 hornet goes, there are a ton of mods online. You can by a real Honda GY6 motor online for under 400 bucks and swap the whole thing out if the Chinese motor ever has some catastrophic failure... Still 10X cheaper than the big brands :)... It is mainly about the maintenance habits of the person who is going to ride it, not the guy who sold it to you. They did a break in service(changed the oil and checked everything) at 200. I am now at 400 miles on the bike. A screw fell out of one side of the plastic cover for the rear wheel but last time I stopped in to say hi to Shram, he gladly replaced it. No fuss, just a smile. I honestly couldn't be happier with the whole deal. Thanks Shram! On a side note about the cleanliness: Have you ever been to a motorcycle service place that was privately owned? Well than you know your not going to want to eat off the floor of the place. It is a bit dilapidated, but that's what happens when someone is at the same location for 20 years... read more

This Service was horrible. I called gave m tire size and was told that the mechanic will be able to change my tire. Welp I was scammed & yes I have pictures to prove it. The mechanic tipped my scooter on the floor to change my tire, they have no equipment to do actual work on bikes, even tho they advertise that they do. The mechanic was not able to take off my wheel so asked me to go across the street to the tire shop! I was in shock, and to make matter worse the tire shop wanted to charge me so I told them I'd pay them after the mechanic was done because I had no cash. The mechanic from fun riders went and paid them for me you think oh wow at least that was nice. Nope the owner comes out and demand I pay them before they even finished putting the tire back on! I paid them because I didn't want any trouble. The mechanic ends up braking my wheel because like I said they had no machine and was doing it by hand! While this is going on the owner comes to me and demands I pay the fee the mechanic paid at the tire shop! these guys were honestly rude, and inconsiderate I will never return to such a place. read more

To celebrate, I went to the shop of this man whom not knowing who I was, took a vote of faith on me and worked with me on letting me pay for the scooter that got me through my first few months in Los Angeles. Yes, I arrived here with empty pockets and this gentlemen here let me pay the scooter with an awesome payment deal. This is probably the worst place ever to get your scooter fixed. By the end it turns out worse than when you got it. Monkeys could run this place better than these people. I brought it in, they told me it would be done by 4:00 pm but it didn't end up being done until 2:00 pm the next day. The workers looked like they were 12 and the manager could be less interested with you or your scooter. It was also dumpy, dirty, and all together gross. The prices were much to high. Nobody in there right mind would go here, consider this you warning. These 'repair' men knew absolutely nothing about it. I wouldn't go here if they paid me. It sucks. read more

Fun Riders !!!! This place is no fun. Do not go here. I went her to have a tire repaired and a new battery on my daughters Razor motor bike. They did do that, but at the cost of creating a bad sound as the wheel now goes around. They did try to fix it, but when they could not they got aggressive with me and I found myself with 4 men shouting at me and refusing to do anything about it. And yes as the previous review said...."they will take your money and kick you to the door". This is what they did to me. I paid for 2 problems to be fixed only to now find that they have created another. I now need to take the bike to another shop which is what i should have done in the beginning and I strongly recommend you go somewhere else. These 4 men are horrible and very rude. I recently bought a Roma 150cc scooter/motorcycle brand new from Fun Riders and I was pleased with my experience. Fun Riders let me purchase my bike via a lay away program and they delivered as promised and on time. Fun Riders also registered my bike with the sate of California on the day of pick-up and I was able to pick up the license plate a week later reg. stickers and all. This place was a savior to me and what I had been going through. My moped was stolen from my work parking lot and I had to buy a used one to get to work. When I couldn't get it started and tried everything to fix it , that's when Fun Riders stepped in to rescue me . I had $0 left after buying the bike and no way to get it to a shop . Fun riders and Shram were the only place that returned my call that day . And to even better my day he personally came and picked my scooter up , lifting it into his own van. There are good businesses.. and there is that RARE instance when a business transcends being just a business.. and instead becomes something akin to family. This is what FUN RIDERS is. My wife and I had a really hard time finding a reputable dealer for our SCOOTER dreams... and when we found Shram and his fantastic FUN RIDERS dealership.. we hit the jackpot. Not only did we find THE BEST POSSIBLE batch of scooters *(we bought two.. one for me and one for my wife)*.. the features ticked off EVERY thing on our wish list AND THEN some.. ALARM ANYONE? HELLO? But then the PRICE was INCREDIBLE compared to ANYONE else... and here's the kicker... THE PRICE DISPLAYED WAS THE PRICE PAYED.. no HIDDEN fees.. no extra costs for ANYTHING... it included TAX, PREP and even REGISTRATION! Where do you get that kind of service ANYWHERE? NOWHERE except HERE at FUN RIDERS. And I haven't even gotten to the part where, Shram is SO adorable.. we have "adopted" him as our official UNCLE. So we now have an UNCLE in the business. These people are fraud...they sell scooters and parts but don't know jack ish about them. I took my scooter there and they changed parts I did not need to change...over charged me and couldn't even communicate well with either of them because if their poor English ....they never fixed the problem and honestly if I was to take my scooter somewhere these people would not be in my choices ....if selling scooters is their hustle they shouldn't claim they know how to fix them cause they do trial and error with people's bikes. this place is shady. you will get horrible products, cheap and bad quality. also the service repair knows nothing about fixing scooters. i had taken my scooter in to get fixed and the guy who was fixing it half way through was asking me if this was right what he was doing, kept telling me that he did'nt remember how to put the thing back together again after it was apart. in a nutshell, here is the best part. my scooter ran fine and i could roll it in, but when i left it didnt work anymore and the chain fell off and i could not even push it back to my car. i had to pick it up to carry it back to my car. so in re-cap: if you want to have baddddddd service and stupid , no let me correct that. very stupid people that dont even live in this country fix or sell you stuff that will just fall apart then this is the place for you. they are in a shady part of town so i guess thats what you pay for as they always say. read more

I shopped around, trying to find parts ( batteries, charger, tire, wires etc...) to get my 8 year old sons go kart running. They were able to have me up and running in less than 1 hour, plus it came out cheaper than if I would have bought the parts and did the work myself. I had a bad feeling about this place when I first sought it out to buy my husband an electric scooter as a fun new Christmas toy. At first the employee Pete was really helpful over the phone but when the owner got involved things took a turn for the worse. I agreed to come in the next day after paying a deposit to pick up an E-Zip scooter. Once I got there, I found out it was a different brand and way too small. I decided to purchase the highest end E-Zip scooter and agreed to pay what the owner wanted. During the transaction I found the same scooter for $25 cheaper at Target.com and Pete being the smart employee agreed to match it so I would not take my business elsewhere. I thought everything was fine until I received 2 voicemails when I got back home from the owner saying I better come back and give them their $25 and I had no right to negotiate with his employee. I better call him back with the money or he is getting fired and how dare I go back on the agreed upon price. I couldn't believe the owner was doing business like this and reprimanding me, the customer. Pete did call me back on a lame 3rd attempt to get the $25 back and I asked him to lose my number and stop having his boss harass me. Needless to say I was annoyed by these 3 phone calls b/c I was trying to keep the scooter a secret from my husband as a X-Mas gift. The funny thing is that the owner made a point in earlier conversations to say customer referrals are extremely vital to his business and he hopes I refer friends. BTW - the other competitor is now pricing the scooter $50 cheaper. Avoid doing business here and save yourself the hassle of being stalked. read more

We drove from Bakersfield to Fun Riders for a kids quad and go cart! Yes we have them here locally but not at this low price, new and with 2yr registration. They may not be name brand but they are good quality, sound great and run great. My daughter takes care of her things so I know she will enjoy them for a long time. Shram provided excellent service. He was professional and very helpful on the phone and in person. He even offered to stay open later hours due to our 2 hour drive. The worst service ever, i rather burn my scooter then go back to them. My stupidity was that i did not research to much about this place and it cost me a lot. I regret i took the scooter over there. I took the scooter to change the injector and first they qouted me $200 after four day they call me and told me that it must changed the head gascket and more things and now is $350. I said ok let's do a good job and not to be cheap. After they fix it i took it and drove it to my place and after 7 miles the engine blew. They said that some piece of metal got to the engine and that caused, the said now i have to pay another $75 to change the engine and it will be a new one and is gonna be perfect, considering that my scooter had only 2400 miles only. After i pick up the second time the scooter the lights were going out, they change the lights and then again i had to pay $60, and i did even took the scooter out of the shop and the back lights was burning out again. They told me that it must be taken to factory and they charge them another $ 40. when i found out i taught that i am going crazy. I got in a fight with them and they told me that if i dont pay they will not return my scooter. In the end i paid and i will NNNNNEEEEVVVEEEEERRRR GO BACK TO THAT PLACE, EVER i rather burn my scooter then pay them any penny WORST SERVICE. They should be shut down by authorities. read more
