Was very disappointed with the food we picked up from here. Being an Amusement park food outlet, I didn't have much high hope about the food. It's pricey to start with -everything is $$ - kind of expected. Coming to the food, one of our choices was Stir fried curry tofu. Oh where can I start! greasy mixture of veggies and tofu. Absolutely no flavor to it. Tofu was not completely cooked either. The veggies were sauteed, but never to the point that it add any value to the food. The stir fried chicken had the same issue. Not curry flavor to it. Veggies in that, again at the same stage. But the chicken was cooked. Just too much sauce in it, that's all. The tenders were good. Cooked well, it was hot when served. At least one of them were good. Very busy place during the lunch time. Service is decent, but the wait time is ridiculous. Even after picking up the food, the line to checkout was also very long! They have got a good number of tables for dine in - both inside and outside. We sat outside that day, far away from all the noise inside. read more

Probably the best you are going to get considering it is an amusement park! I really liked my spicy shrimp fettucine and appreciate that you can watch them cook it in the wok right before your eyes. (Marinara needs a serious upgrade, tastes more like tomato sauce.) The wine was not great, but seriously, what can you expect? There are lots of options on snacks--fruit, yogurt with granola, string cheese. Nice to have a somewhat healthy spread (the yogurt is oh so, too much for me, sweet.) Gets massively crowded so I recommend avoiding the lunch hour. Sit and relax outside and send your kids to driving school while you take a well deserved break with mediocre wine. read more

Considering this is an amusement park for children, it was pretty surprising to find that they serve Philly cheesesteaks, spicy shrimp linguini, and chicken or tofu (your choice of protein) curry right on the spot. The restaurant kind of gives off Souplantain vibes. There's a special lunch bag for children where they can choose between a hotdog or chicken tenders which comes with a juice pouch and an apple. For adults, you can choose whichever entree you wish. I chose the spicy shrimp linguini, which was delicious. I added some cholula to the pasta to make it a bit more spicier. Tried some of the cheesesteak sandwich, which was a tad bit salty for my taste but still good. They have a bunch of other items such as candy, chips, bottled drinks, and fountain drinks for you to purchase. The prices were a bit high (paid $6 for a small fruit cup) which was a downside but it is an amusement park. If you have a season pass, you do get discount on your meal, so make sure to show your pass when you are ready to pay for your food. read more

The good thing about a one star review for this restaurant is that there's much opportunity for improvement. The downside for the health conscious consumer is that the choices of food here are limited. I chose the tofu curry bowl. Tofu was greasy, sauce was greasy, however, the string beans were tender crisp. Urban Kitchen prides itself in freshness, preparing food as we wait. So while the bowl was prepared in front of us while we watched, I was shocked to see the amount of oil added to the food. Other hot lunch choices were a greasy Philly steak and a shrimp fettuccine in a spicy red sauce. The kids were hungry and while one chose the chicken fingers the other chose fettuccine with cheese. The chicken fingers were hard, as though they were either deep fried to a crisp or had been sitting under the warmer waiting to be plated. The fettuccine was nothing more than greasy noodles topped with Parmesan cheese. Did I mention kids meal came with potato chips and a package of gummy fruit ? We sat outside, that was a positive. The inside was a tad loud and crowded for my dining pleasure. I do believe it would take just a tiny bit of effort to create a healthy dining option at the park, which would be rewarded by happy customers. I think this is now called Urban Kitchen. I was expecting the same old over priced pizza and sandwiches like all other theme parks, but was really impressed by the food selection here. My husband and I were surprised at how reasonable the prices were. I guess we were so used to Disneyland prices. I opted for the one trip salad bar. It was very clean and everything was drag. I loved that they included several pre mixed vegetable options like Greek cucumber salad with feta cheese. It came out to $12.50 and was delicious. My husbands steak sandwich was pretty good for just under $12 My daughters large scoop of vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone was $3.50 I saw a bunch of other delicious goodies like rice crispy treats, cookies, and brownies. I came on a Friday in December, so it was basically empty with no lines and plenty os seating. read more

this was our best meal at Legoland, which isn't really saying much. ;) Kids meal is $8.99 and was a choice of fried chicken tenders, big hot dog or chicken pesto wrap, plus chips and fruit and juice. The wrap looked awful and I didn't want to get my kid something fried, so hot dog it was. Tasty, and he enjoyed getting to pick from the wide variety of chips. My favorite thing here was the salad bar, and unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of it! I got a HUGE salad, and it was the same price regardless of how much you piled on, so I had a lot of veggies and cubes of ham piled up there! ;) I think it was $10 or $11? Fun Town Market is one of the dining options in Legoland. Located in Fun Town, it's central and easy to find. It's a short building with glass windows and doors on every side. It looks quaint and comfortable. Inside is a more of a cafeteria area with tables and chairs and different dining and food stations including salad, sandwiches, ice cream, and coffee. I personally didn't eat anything here. This is a must-stop even if you aren't eating. For fans of LEGO, you'll marvel at the historic LEGO sets all over. In addition to featuring local Carlsbad/San Diego AFOL creations, you'll also see countless sets of yesteryear with a brick showing when the set was released. These go all the way back to LEGOs roots as a wood and plastic toy manufacturer. It was amazing to see sets from the 1950s, 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90s, through to today; all complete in the box. Things have changed a lot, but these old bricks still work with ones bought today. It's a great place to take pictures and just enjoy how far LEGO has come! read more

Legoland's Fun Town Market is our go-to food option inside the park. The quality is pretty good but the prices are high, and what would be an average restaurant on the outside is practically fine dining inside Legoland. I got the $11.25 steak sandwich which was basically a Philly Cheesesteak. It was surprisingly tasty, with a good bun, chips and pickle. The $8 kids meals were all natural peanut butter & Carlsbad strawberry spread (no joke - that's what the sign said, and yes, we had one of these), hot dog (we had one of these too) or chicken tenders, with chips (Cheetos, sun chips, pretzels etc), a drink-box and a piece of fruit (apple or raisins). There weren't many other options I was interested in for adults, but those that I saw included a salad bar, a spicy shrimp linguine, a chicken stir fry and ice cream. My wife ended up getting some food at one of the other restaurants nearby. I have to ask - what is the deal with all the industrial sized SYSCO cans decorating the restaurant? Unless there is some sort of a sponsorship deal with SYSCO, the industrial food supplier, I'm not sure that is a brand that makes you feel good about an $8 peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The only reason this place is getting a 5-star rating is because it's the best place to get food inside of Legoland. It is not getting a 5-star rating for the food, but only when compared to the rest of the food places at Legoland. This place has a pasta station where pasta is prepared fresh -- today was spicy shrimp linguine -- and you can also get an Asian themed rice bowl such as oriental chicken stir fry. A salad bar is also featured as well as Philly cheese steak sandwiches and more. I guess I would say this place offers the most variety as well. No refills at the salad bar (no refills for drinks either at all of the establishments at Legoland -- BOO -- but then again, which amusement park gives you refills for free these days? Had to take a star off as it closed early! We got there again at 7pm and they were already closed. That's just bullshit since the park didn't close until 8pm and there was nothing good to eat unless you leave the park. read more

O.M.G. ...... $12 for the tofu/rice/veggie bowl But I had to wait in a line that although it was few people, I had to stand there and wait so long that my kids food got cold and every single person in line lost their spirit......... we were all just not understanding how it took so so so so so long for the food to get cooked...... and we sat down with the food the vegetables were almost raw !!!! so this one worker that stood there forever cooking the food what did he even do?? I mean everyone in line was at their wits end by the time the food finally got served . The tofu tasted good the rice tasted good but neither of us that got this dish ate even 1/4 of the bowl because it was unappetizing I was absolutely starving after being at Legoland all day and the only reason I ate some of it was because of how famished I was ---what a waste of money it was such a horrible experience read more

Located inside LegoLand!!! A great place to get some treats after a driving the cars in Fun Town. They serve lunch here too but we have been frequent flyers of the Triple Scoop Ice Cream. It's a great deal instead of buying 3 single scoops to the kids. They mash up 3 scoops in one big cup. Ask for extra cups, and bam!!! You saved your family a few more bucks!!!! My annual pass has been pretty worth it too. The kid has the Merlin pass so it gives us an extra 20% off food. Awesome!!!! They serve Bryers Ice Cream. They also have some seasonal flavors. The 3 yr old enjoyed the pumpkin spice. Aside from the ice cream we get here.... This place has plenty of indoor seating. And it is adjacent to the big car track area. read more

Our favorite place to eat in LegoLand w/ lots of options for kids and adults. Kids meals are pretty pricy ($8), but include entree (chicken tenders, hot dog), chips, fruit and drink, and I either like to get the salad bar or chicken stir-fry (lots of chicken and veggies; pretty tasty if you add some sesame seeds and siracha). My hubby had the Philly cheesesteak, and said it was excellent. I've had the spicy shrimp linguine before, and it's very good, too (you can also order it less or not spicy - they just spice it up w/ chili flakes). Lots of indoor and outdoor tables, too. Fun Town Market = DELISH! An entree of sausage with a whole grain fancy mustard sauce, with sides of buttery mashed potatoes and warm mild sauerkraut. Then a Bavarian pretzel and cinnamon flavored churro with your choice of chocolate or strawberry jam sauce. Or course, this was all topped off with hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream! The kids also received a gift of a Christmas ornament full of little red legos! All the food was perfectly presented and accompanied by professional carolers in costume! My wife thought this might be a good place to eat inside Legoland and she was right on the money. Choice for kids - their version of a kids meal consisted of a entree (chicken nuggets, hot dog or a PB&J), drink, chips (reg. size, not those tiny bags that come in a variety pack box at Costco) and a treat (fruit roll up). Kids had nuggets and the portion was pretty decent for under $8.00. Choice for adults - Salad bar, stir fry, cheese steak sandwiches or spicy shrimp linguine. Wife had the stir fry over rice which looked really good. I had the cheesesteak sandwich, which I never had in my whole life, but loved every bite. Came with a pickle and what looked like homemade kettle chips (good combo). Drinks - didn't need a drink. The kids' meals came with drinks, so we used their cups. Although there was a sign that said no refills, it was on the soda machine and not on the juice machine. I decided to help myself to seconds and thirds of cranberry juice and was not stopped once. Desserts - tempting, but I didn't get any. My son had a cookie. They also had large brownies, carrot cake and other desserts. Overall - I heard a patron say "where is the amusement park food?" and I had to laugh. This was a great place to eat and get a healthier meal than most of the places in the park. Would definitely not eat anywhere else in the park than here. If the prices weren't so high, it would get 5 stars. However, that's how the park makes their money, so I can't blame them. read more

We stopped by for snack and had some good healthy options, such yogurt, Apple, etc. and for meals, the options seemed healthier than most theme park food places. Big selection of food here. Avoid this one. I had the stir fry. It was awful. It looked promising since they toss the fresh veggies right in front of you, but it came out so greasy and mushy. The sticky rice was bland and disgusting. No amount of siracha could save this one. My husband had the cheese steak sandwich. Definitely better than mine, but still just OK. The only plus side is that they're running a special right now. One free kids meal for every adult meal purchased from 3:30 till half hour before closing. So all 4 of us ate for $24. The kids meals include juice, chips, and fruit. My son got the chicken strips. Nothing special, but he gobbled them up. My nephew got the hotdog. Took one bite and refused to eat anymore. I think it was mostly the link because it was all beef and he's used to turkey. But the bun was really dry. Enough to crack on the bottom when he picked it up. Almost every napkin holder was empty despite only a few families inside the restaurant at the time. I also ordered the ice coffee. Super weak and something was wrong with the spigot so it trickled out super slow. The staff said that was the 1st time they had that problem. read more

We ate our lunch here. The kids had hot dogs, which they loved. I had a philly cheese that had great flavor and was grilled to perfection. My husband got the spicy shrimp fettuccine. You get to choose if you want it mild, medium or hot. He got it medium. We didn't think it was very spicy, but I'm sure it depends on who is making it. The shrimp were pretty big. As far as amusement park food goes, the URBAN KITCHEN Tofu Curry was excellent. You get a large portion of healthy vegetables like green beans and carrots and spinach and red bell peppers and you get a good amount of Tofu and lots of rice. It was large enough to fill an adult for dinner and big enough for kids to split. And it was only about $13 which is the price for most crappy dinners at most amusement parks. I definitely recommend for vegetarians and anyone looking to enjoy a good meal. They also have a chicken version which I did not try but I'm guessing it is the same as the TOFU just with chicken. The staff was friendly when we went on a Saturday night around 5pm. It is a walk up and order kind of place, but the lines where short at the end of AUG. read more

I had the spicy shrimp linguini which wasn't very spicy at all - they didn't ask me how spicy I wanted it - and thought it tasted pretty good. I think there were at least 5 shrimp of decent size, too. My daughter had the kid's meal with chicken strips, which were also good. But I didn't think to ask if we could get just the strips separately instead, which would have been better because my daughter didn't want the chips, apple, or drink that came with it. Oh well, live and learn. I thought the linguini was moderately priced, especially compared with Italian restaurant chains, and it's a rather large serving. Rice pudding and brownie were yummy, drinks incredibly expensive ($4 for bottled water, $3.35 for bottled soda). I'd definitely eat there again. read more

The food is alright. I ordered the veggie, oops I mean the chicken (5 cubed pieces) stir fry. But my low rating is due to the cleanliness of the place. The table tops are almost as bad as the floors, sticky, dirty and just disgusting. The staff walks around resetting the table arrangements but don't wipe down the tables or chairs. Beware of the crud, especially on the chairs. It's obviously been building up since this place opened. Just gross! Won't come here to eat again that's for sure. read more

This place is great! My DH and I got the Spicy Shrimp Linguine ( a little too spicy for me ). The kids got their kids meal and for the price it came with a lot ( I think I would get the kids meal next time!).. I brought caprisuns from my hotel and my DH and I used the kids cups for our drinks (saved on drink purchase).. It says no refills, but I went back at least 5 times to get more (Ice tea and cokes).. we even left the restaurant and went to different parts of the park came back and got refills... great tip from another reviewer. The food was great and service was great and drink refills, well i couldn't talk better about it! DO not go to Upper Deck Sports Cafe ( they have hair in their food) Go here !!! read more

This place was pretty good. I'd say its one of the better dining options, though pricey(which is to be expected at a theme park). I had the cheesesteak(without the pickle or chips that come with it) which was a good size, plenty of meat, and delicious. My wife had the shrimp linguine, which was huge, came with 4 large shrimps, and tasted ok. She opted for the non spicy version(they ask you how spicy you want it)with lots of Parmesan cheese. The child had the chicken strips(surprisingly delicious) kids meal that came with raisins(or choice of apple or orange), chips, and a kids drink(refillable for 99 cents, or choice of milk or honest juice). We all shared a salad(from the NOT all you can eat salad bar) that had romaine, spinach, mixed greens, tomato, carrots, onion, olive, potato salad, croutons, & watermelon. It was really good! All in all this place wasn't bad and better than we expected. The only knock on this place is the price. Both meals were $12 each, the salad(one trip only) was $11, the drink(non refillable) that me & wife shared was $3.50, & the kids meal was $8 or $9. All that being said, we would likely come eat here again(if not in the mood for pizza & pasta) as it beats hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. read more
