We have been eating at this place since the restaurant was opened on NW 23rd Street. The owner knew us well. Lately, We came to the place on N.Classen and 32nd Street about every week for dinner. Last night we had a dinner at that place. We always order same dishes. My husband like the dish of pork chops deep fried with peppers. I have to say I was very upset but tried not to return the dish back to their kitchen. On the menu it said, pork chop deep fried with salt and peppers for $9.90. The dish brought to us just several pieces of chopped pork meats. The owner (the tall one) when he was there he served the food exactly as it stated on the menu. I noticed when his partner (short one) did the cooking. The dishes are always is not worthed for the prices you paid for it and it was not cooked properly as it should. It shows this place does not respect the customer, and mind you we are Asian too. Especially, the female waitress was so rude and acted smarted. Poor service! Rude waiters! It could not be worse ever! A waiter at front(not Chinese) was so sucks who made me waited more than half hour and told me that I only need to wait two minutes. I can't stand the stupid waiter who treat customers like that! But the food and boss are alright. read more

This is my favorite place to get dim sum on weekends with my family. If you're craving dim sum, this is the place to come. The chefs come from an experienced background ranging from San Francisco to Hong Kong. The seating is limited, but what they lack in space they make up in quality. read more

One of the worst places to get Asian food in Asian district! Someone recommended us to go there and we thought the food might be really good! We ordered some spring rolls for starters and the waiter forget to bring them and instead brought us the entrée....My wife ordered beef noodles and I ordered some chicken thigh in a clay pot. Both were so greasy and had zero flavor! One bite and we were like....should have gone across the street to Lee's sandwiches instead! We ended up going to Ingrids on the way home for some good desert so we could forget about the whole experience at Fung's! Maybe they were good once upon a time but now it is just bad! read more

This review is only for the dim sum! So, we went specifically for the dim sum and we were not disappointed. We were immediately met with a tray of Chinese broccoli, then some appetizer type dishes nearly 30 seconds later. We said yes to the broccoli (with a healthy pour of oyster sauce) and some jalapenos stuffed with fish. Amazing start. The broccoli was tender, but the pieces were a little big for my poor chopstick skills. The jalapenos were were so good! The peppers were well cooked and the stuffing had a lot of flavor. We also got the steamed shrimp dumplings (the wrapper is really good, not tough or dry), steamed pork buns (holy crap. Just. Good. The bun is so light; not dense like others I've had. The filling is savory and almost BBQ-y), beef flat noodle (my least favorite dish, but still better than most noodle dishes I've had), spring rolls (with a filling I expected to be heavy on cabbage, but was actually pretty heavy on meat), some coconut buns (filling was a little dry, but the flavor was on point) and some egg tarts (meh.) My husband and I got more than full (and had some for leftovers) off all the above and got out of the restaurant for just under $40. The service was excellent! The restaurant was full, but we still had full drinks and the servers were coming by frequently with trays or carts full of food. Good food, pretty good price range. There's a little sticker on the menu with an "A". If you see them giving you that menu, ask them for the REAL menu... unless what you want is actually just some beef with broccoli or some general tsao's. In which case, you'll be fine with the large-print "A" menu. :) I have had both the Americanized dishes, and some of the ones which are more out of the ordinary. They're all quite good. Just be aware that they have a truncated menu and an extended menu, with a few more exotic items on it. read more

It's what is on the inside that counts!! This doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food being served on the inside is absolutely delicious. My wife and I went here for lunch today and were pleasantly surprised. I started with the hot and sour soup. It wasn't as spicy as I like it, however they have crushed peppers in oil at the table that easily kicked the soup up a notch to where I like it. There was a perfect blend of flavors in this soup. My entre' consisted of an egg roll, fried rice, two fried shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, and beef with broccoli. This is hands down the best beef with broccoli I have eaten. The other items very very delicious as well. My wife ordered the lunch plate with cashew chicken, fried rice, and crab rangoons. All were delicious. We were very pleased with our lunches and then were surprised again when the check came. Two lunches and two drinks with a tip was still under $20. We were seated immediately and had two waitstaff keeping an eye on us, so we were well taken care of. We will definitely be back again soon! read more

For years, I've been satiating my dim sum addiction with regular visits to The Grand House. It was always good, but they seemed to be in a rut... rarely offering anything new, or anything that wasn't fried. After reading the reviews for Fung's I decided to give it a try. I met several friends there late one Saturday morning and we were seated within about 10 minutes. The food started coming and we ate and ate, till we had to roll ourselves out. It was fresh, hot and very good. The service was also good, even though there was a bit of a language barrier. We asked them to make/bring some additional servings of several of the dishes and they were very accommodating, eventually. The atmosphere is not particularly sophisticated, nor is it particularly Chinese, but since I went strictly for the food, I was cool. When it came time to add up all the little stamps, I was pleasantly surprised that I hadn't spent nearly so much as I have on Saturdays past. I'll be back. read more

I had dinner there with the family on a holiday weekend and I was surprised pleasantly. I had Buddhas Feast from their authentic menu and I could find a ton of other stuff on the menu I'd go back for. The service was good too. Best Chinese food in the OKC area. Large selection of dishes with an additional Chinese menu with a variety of dishes for those who are more adventurous. Every bit as good as grand house, faster, and more cozy. Open on Saturdays is why I gave this place a shot after being a die hard Grand house fan for the last 20 years. I've seen the grand up and down and all around and after living in San Francisco for years...I've tried a lot of dim sum. Grand house always lived up when I needed my dim sum fix. But now Fung's will give me a choice when I'm in the mood for the ambience of Fung's over the busy and noisy grand house. This place is in an old Pizza Hut, but remodeled well, so that just gives you an idea of the size. And For a little place, it has fast turnover. Why? Because the dim sum comes out so fast you eat almost immediately and they serve you as fast as you eat it. Quality? Well, I see no difference between them and grand house and you don't have to wait an hour to get your jalapeño stuffed with shrimp, while the shu Mai and chicken feet pass by every two minutes. Loved everything AND they even have the sesame encrusted red bean paste balls that GH has not had for a while. The taro roots were actually yummier. The shumai is perfect, the bao, perfect. I would even go as far to say they bought from the same food supply b/c the flavors are soooo the same. Grand house might be your mood, big, roomy, social, loud on certain days but Fung's will definitely hit your mood other days, especially if the craving for dim sum comes on Saturday (which grand house doesn't do as of my last check in). read more

Fung's moved from 23rd to Classen in what seems to be an old style Pizza Hut building, I assumed it had just closed so I was delighted to find it by accident. There is no buffet at the new location but the menu is still reasonable and top notch. They have both the traditional Chinese restaurant fare like beef and broccoli and also a nice selection of Vietnamese dishes. All the food was made from fresh ingredients and quite delicious. As always they serve with a bit of flair which is rare nowadays. The price was quite reasonable. We got a bowl of wonton which was extremely large and split it. My other half got the beef and broccoli while I opted for the lettuce wrap appetizer which was so large I asked for a to go box. It was so good we returned for the Dim Sum which they have on Saturday and Sunday. I had never gotten to experience Dim sum before. It was fun and very tasty although we got a bit over excited and ordered way too much (to go boxes rock). The Dim sum is expensive but it's quite an event. We got there about 11:30 am, it was already half full and was standing room only by the time we waddled out an hour later. We will definitely be back.f read more

The dim sum here was remarkable. I grew up in Hong Kong and ate dim sum every Sunday, and I have to say the pork siu mai here may have been the best I've ever tasted. The service was good, too - staff was friendly, and so efficient. Food came around in carts, which you don't always get anymore. I'd heard good things from dim sum aficionados about Fung's and I am a sucker for Chinese, so we decided to give this a try one afternoon. I know that everyone has different tastes, my husband and I both have our favorite dim sum places in our previous city and have never come to a truce about who is right. I am pretty easy to please on the American-Chinese front and the more authentic dishes though. We must have come on the wrong day or at the wrong time because we got the lunch menu. After eyeballing the lotus leaf and other dishes on the tables around us, we ordered a soup and a pork and noodle dish. Boy did we order wrong. This ranked as some of the worst food I've ever had and reminded me of the places in DC that sell Chinese food, wings, and fried fish. Tastless, gloopy, limp. I cannot tell you how sad this makes me. I suppose it deserves another chance but even if I could convince my husband to go back, I've eliminated it from my mental catalog. read more

I have been to Fungs for dinner and for Dim Sum. Food for dinner and Dim Sum was good. Prices were in line with what you would expect for Chinese. I have nothing bad to say about Fungs, a lot of people will recommend. I also recommend it. I gave Fungs three stars just because I happen to like a couple of other restaurants for Dim Sum and Chinese a bit better. I would still recommend it. read more

Very good food, and cooked to order so its hot and doesn't look like slimy buffet stuff. You can order things without MSG if you want to avoid headaches and zits. My only gripe is the sauces are a bit salty for my taste, which overwhelms the food. Portions are huge for the price and its a bargain for lunch. They have a bunch of headless, dead smoked ducks hanging in a display where you can pick which duck you want to eat. Must be an asian thing. read more

Authentic Chinese food is much easier to find in Oklahoma City than you might have thought. Fung's Kitchen is just a five minute drive north of downtown OKC. My Cantonese friend from school recommended the restaurant, so I went there with him. Upon arrival, the hostess must've sensed my "whiteness" and handed me with both a Chinese and American menu...DO NOT order off the American menu. Expand your horizons. If you don't know what to get off the Chinese menu, ask your waiter. The waiters are extremely knowledgable and will be sure to offer great suggestions. The unlimited steamed white rice that comes with your meal is to die for. I suggest eating it while you are trying the variety of food. It compliments all flavors very nicely. I would also suggest to order family-style to try a variety of different dishes. My friend and I had the Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, barbecued pork, and roasted duck. It was heavenly, and we had ample food for a VERY reasonable price. I highly recommend a visit to Fung's Kitchen. read more

NOT the best Chinese restaurant in OKC. Our family for one will never go back. They brought us 1 glass of water for the 3 of us. We asked 4 different times for 2 more waters. I was halfway into my meal without a drink. I personally had to walk up front and ask for a glass of water and the person acted like it was a pain in the ass to get it for me. They really need to learn what customer service is about. When they brought the dim sum around we asked for details of what was being served and they would not answer us. They offered the table next to us some spare ribs but never came to our table with them. To many other Chinese restaurants in OKC to choose from that gives MUCH better service. Went here with my family and the hostess said that the wait would be 20 minutes. I actually convinced my parents to come here instead of going to Grand House (some where we always go). The wait was actually 50 minutes and when we sat down at our table there were no plates or silverware. We got 3 plates during their dim sum hours on Sunday and all the food was cold. It didn't taste bad or anything, but it was cold. My dad asked for tea 3 times and only after finished the 3 plates did my dad ask one of the waiters again for tea and we finally got it. The waiters that carry the trays around were never walking around, we always had to ask for someone to bring out something. Everyone was really friendly, but I think they're having trouble figuring out a system. The food was fine, but it just took forever. We were there for over 2 hours waiting and eating. Grand house may be a dollar more per dish, but at least you don't have to wait over an hour to eat. read more
