The selection of international foods was incredible. My husband and I found products that we hadn't seen since traveling abroad, which made the visit especially nostalgic and fun. It truly felt like taking a culinary trip around the world without leaving the store. One of the unique features is that adults can purchase a beverage from one of the small bars inside the market and enjoy it while browsing the aisles. Combined with the incredible variety of foods, snacks, spices, and specialty items, there was always something new to discover around every corner. We could have spent hours exploring and still not seen everything. If you enjoy trying foods from different cultures or simply love wandering through unique grocery stores, this is absolutely worth a visit. It was one of the most memorable stops on our trip.

If I lived near here I would need to build a large pantry onto my house! Lol...someone has a sense of humor for the restrooms! Thry were beautiful and clean inside! The cashiers were wonderful. A must visit place if you are in the Cincinnati area! Allow some time. We were there 4 hours and didn't see it all!

But my favorite will always be the Aldi on Ridge. I know it in my sleep. This one is very open and spacious. Very organized and clean. Everything is categorized in sections. Don't sleep on their organic, produce and protein section. They are ridiculously reasonable in pricing and fresh. Also my fave is shopping "Aldi finds". They are weekly specials. The only negative is when it's gone, that's it. It's not on the shelf regularly. Whenever I am at work, people always ask me where I get a certain item and I always tell them Aldi. I give them a price, and they are shocked. I don't get why people are afraid to drop by. Is it paying .25 cents for cart and bringing your own bags? I am all for that. No plastic waste and there are no carts all over the parking lot. Plus you get your quarter back. Checkout is ALWAYS super quick. Now they have an express checkout where you ring it up yourself. I will always be an Aldi fan! They are that good and I save lots of money.

What I like about Aldi is that they have some pretty good organic and non-GMO products. Not a lot, but they definitely have the basics for what we need. For example there simply nature bread and tomato basil marinara sauce - if you read the ingredients label on the products - very simple and clean ingredients. Also very affordable compared to the bigger name brand stuff. I also like the fact that they added self checkout because then you're in and out if you don't have a lot of items - and you don't have to wait for the one open cashier.

We stopped by after a visit to the Newtown Candy shop. We took some lobster roll kits and clam chowder home. They pride themselves on fresh seafood regularly flown in from around the world. Their pricing is double Jungle Jims and triple kroger. Can't say good or bad until we try the fresh fish. For example they have many types of Salmon from around the globe. $49.99 for Sea Bass is pricey for me. I think Halibut was $39.99 a pound and the salmon was $20-$30 a pound. They also make their own sides. The clam chowder had too many potatoes. On Friday and Saturday nights they cook a few meals out back in a small tent/room. Main items are Lobster Rolls and Fish n chips.

It was a small space but feels like a diner from an old movie. It was cozy and fun! I got the Tealside Slammer with scrambled eggs, potato cakes, and upgraded the standard pancake to a waffle with brown sugar butter. It's one of my favorite meals I've had this year. I've never had potato cakes before, so now I am on a mission to learn how to make them from home. The eggs were buttery and fluffy - I loved them. The sausage tasted just like how my grandma makes it. The waitress (who was super bubbly and friendly!) suggested I get the brown sugar butter with my waffle and she was so right. I've never had something like that, but there is no going wrong with brown sugar or butter - the combination of the two obviously is amazing! I can't wait to go back and try even more on the menu!

The string lines are cute. They have music playing and Pixar movies on the TV. My favorite is the Sweet Brunch Sandwich. I also really like their biscuits and sausage gravy. Their home fries have the perfect amount of crispiness. I've tried other things on the menu and it's all been decent. Their flavored iced coffee was not great, though. We were greeted warmly and led to a cozy table in the back. Our waitress was super friendly and bubbly, but also patient as we took a while to determine what we want. This is a place you unfortunately have to pay for your chips and salsa, but it is worth. The chips come fresh and the salsa is so good! We also tried the Rincon dip, which was warm, cheesy, gooey, and had great flavor. They have a really good queso. My friend got one of their burritos and I got the fajita quesadilla with chicken. With your entree you get to pick your sides, so we both got mexican salad and I got refried beans, while she got black beans. Everything was awesome! I should've expected to love that quesadilla as much as I did after enjoyed the queso in the Rincon dip, but I will still blown away. The chicken was well seasoned, the cheese was great and there was a good amount, and the veggies were fresh and really added to the quesadilla. My friend loved the burrito and couldn't finish it because it was so much food. We also both got margaritas, which are a little pricey, but we enjoyed them a lot! I have found my new favorite mexican place in the area. The service was great, the prices are comparable to other places around, and the food is much better! You also get a discount at the register if you pay with cash (so plan in advance). I highly recommend coming here!

In both cases, the stores are large and shopping takes time--I know I'm committing an hour, but I'll walk out with everything I need. Grocery Outlet is not that. The store is smaller, and so is the selection--but it isn't boring. There are times when that is exactly the shopping experience I'm in the mood for. In and out, but with the chance to discover some things I wasn't looking for and save some money along the way. I've found good deals here on protein chips, dried fruit, pasta, cheese, milk, salad dressings and sometimes meat. The main issue with Grocery Outlet is you probably can't shop your full list here. You'll probably get through most of it, especially if you aren't particular about brands, but there are specifics you just won't find. For example, there are 1 or 2 brands of all-purpose flour, but no bread flour. As long as you know that going in, it's a fine shopping experience. Bonus points for how kind and friendly the employees are.
