The show was good its was not the best comedians but I had a good time. The seating was not my favorite thing about this place. If you are solo or an odd number of people in your group then you might be seated with strangers. The seating arrangement consists of 1 table with 4 seats. They also have balcony seats but I was seated in the floor seat section so I didn't get to see the seating arrangement upstairs in the balcony. The menu is not really vegetarian/vegan friendly so I would recommend eating before you go if you're vegetarian or vegan. I didn't eat anything so I can't say anything about how the food taste. I had a great time seeing the amazing Alok and enjoying a sold-out, deliciously diverse crowd at the Funny Bone. It's a gorgeous club and my cheeseburger and upgrade to sweet potato fries were the bomb. It's nice to know you can enjoy dinner and a show without driving all the way to downtown Columbus. I've been to the Funny Bone twice now and my experiences have been pretty good. One was an evening comedy show, so the standard lunch/dinner menu was provided. Cocktails are a little pricey, but they come with a keepsake glass that is pretty nice! The second time was for a drag brunch. When getting my ticket reminders with the menu attached, I was really worried about not having brunch options for a brunch event. After being seated, though, we were provided with a themed menu! I was thoroughly impressed that they had themed dishes and cocktails. The staff is always welcoming and attentive. They even came around with change for tipping the drag queens! I personally wish their seating arrangements were a bit better, as I was sat away from my friends due to purchasing my ticket separately. It makes sense but it was still sad to be away from the only people I knew. Also, I feel like attending a drag show here was not the move. It was a fun event, but the seats do not rotate, so if you're towards the front of the room, you will have to turn around when the queens travel behind you. read more

I visited the Funny Bone for the first time to see Bruce Bruce! I'd seen him before but he's always funny and I figured he'd have some new content. While the opening acts made fun of the club's size lol, it's giving the same vibes as the Stardome comedy club back home in Bham, so I had no complaints. I'd just left dinner so I opted for the funnel cake fries and they were hot and crispy. I also liked the raspberry dipping sauce it came with. Last night I attended the Anthony Robustiano show at Funny Bone. The doors to Funny Bone opened at 5:30 and the show started at 7. I arrived at 5:30. There is a large bar area you can wait at and order drinks or food while you wait for the club to start seating. I ordered an espresso martini while I waited. The martini was ok. It had ice crystals in it which I found odd. Otherwise flavor was fine. Almost tasted more chocolate than espresso in my opinion. We didn't have to wait long for the theater to start seating. I was put at a long table. I came with one other person and we were set with 3 other sets of couples. It's kind of a nice way to meet new people. A server came around and I ordered a hot Sicilian (it was ok) and a tall Bud light. The Bud Light was 10 dollars which seems kinda crazy to me. My food and drink came pretty quick. My friend's beer took a really long time and the server had to be reminded. I heard other people at our table have to remind her of their orders. Also our server seemed to vanish for long periods of time. You might think it was due to the show but I saw other servers visiting their tables. Also the comedy show was set to start at 7 but the opening act didn't even start until 7:30ish. The best part of funny bone is the small intimate setting for the comedians. Had a great time here and saw a funny show. The actual space is a lot smaller than I expected it to be. It's very intimate and had random seating. We were sat on the edge so it was kind of an odd angle the whole time but still very close. Went to see comedian Anjelica Johnson -Reyes this evening. She was very good and very down to earth and had lots of facial expressions. Our server was great and I thought the food was pricey. We ordered the spinach dip which came with tortilla chips. The dip was good but the chips stale. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was $15.99! Our daughter had chicken wings dinner which the wings were delicious and the fries great! I believe they were $17.99 and Hubby had grilled chicken club which he liked. Review Visit: April 6th, 2013 You can say the Funny Bone really tickled all of our funny bones! On a crazy fun trip to Columbus, our friend Doug got us tickets to see Harland Williams at the Funny Bone. We really didn't know who it was until we got there. The Funny Bone is located in the Easton Town Center, which is another post all on it's own. Any who, while we were waiting in line to get in, Harland came out and talked to the crowd! How awesome. He was promoting his new comedy dvd and was doing a small Meet-n-Greet before the show. We didn't think we would get to meet him, but we did! He was very pleasant and let us take a group photo with him. On to the show. I believe your ticket has assigned seats, unlike other comedic venues I have been to. We were situated in a great place. Right in the middle with easy access to anything and a great view of the act. We all had a few drinks and proceeded to laugh our asses off. We all had a great time. We had more than enough laughs for the rest of the year. We didn't try any food, so my rating is based purely on the act and the kindness of the staff. This was a disappointing visit. I've been many times, and this was the first time seated on the 2nd floor. Wow, what poor visibility. It is still $40 pp and no way of knowing where you will be seated until you arrive. I ordered a bottle of wine because they will cork it to take home. I had an awful Sauv Blanc at $34. Boyf had a bucket of Yuengling for $28. The headliner was Dave Attell, whom I love and have seen here in the past. It was sold out, which is probably the reason for the 2nd floor seating. Love the venue as frequent a lot, but I either eat before or after the show, because during is a no go. I understand it's a comedy club, but my last 3 visits, 3 including tonight, the service has been terrible. The server asked me did I want any food I said no thank you can I get a water, never came back to the table at all. The people next to me had food he walked by the table maybe twice and that was it. Never saw him again but I saw other servers checking on their guest. But this makes the 3rd visit of me not getting something, first visit was food, never received it, second was a alcoholic beverage because I love the souvenir cups, didn't get it, and this time was just a simple glass of water . I highly recommend getting a drink at the bar before going in and eating before going in as well, because you will not receive nothing. I went to my first show at the Funny Bone this week and had a great time! I wanted to go because a Jen Fuhlweiler was performing, and I think her stuff is hilarious. I'm glad that photos are prohibited during the shows, because I was full on howling the whole time and I'm sure that was very attractive.... They have a 2 item per person minimum in the club for shows, but food counts, which was great. I had actually been a little worried about the quality of the food, since you're kind of captive, but we both really liked our dinners and the portions were really quite generous! I went with the shrimp platter, which had giant juicy shrimp and fries, and some of the house Riesling. Yummy! The service is really great, they're very attentive, it was quick, even as the place filled up, and the servers come by a lot. The downside is the seating. Your seat is assigned at shared tables based on when you purchase your ticket. But they really cram you up into the front. I was touching at least two people and there was a woman literally screaming in my ear (I'm glad she was having a great time, but she was less than a foot from my ears). I'd have rather been seated a little further back and been able to get out of my chair, particularly since it was about half full on the floor that night. read more

Pretty furious with the club which has lead me to having to do my first yelp review. Paid for vip tickets for my wife and I plus my friend. VIP seats are directly up front. Was told we would have to have our group separated for vip seating or sit in the standard seating. We were somehow sat in the farthest possible seat from the stage in the absolute back of the club. The vip section had a table front and center sit empty all night and the clubs dogs*** collective attitude made a discretionary decision to not honor my vip tickets for the sake of their hypothetical opposition. 2 comics made comments about the empty seat in the front row. On top of that, in the midst of the show in a room with no light, the club charged us for multiple items we didn't order. Been to 9 shows here and I'll go to Dayton, Detroit or Cleveland Hilarities before I come back to this place. 9 shows, what a joke. read more

My wife and I were really excited for our first time at the Funny Bone, especially since we've been to over 15 comedy shows in the past year. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment. We were seated next to a couple who talked throughout the entire show, loudly enough to disrupt not only our experience but also others around us. What made this even more frustrating was that no one from the staff stepped in to address the issue. In other comedy venues we've been to, disruptive guests were either spoken to or removed, ensuring the audience could enjoy the show. That wasn't the case here. Not only that, but this guest continued to become increasingly intoxicated, yet they weren't cut off. After the show, several people around us shared that they were also upset the staff didn't intervene and that they were annoyed with the disruptive guests. Adding to our dissatisfaction, our server only checked on us once at the very beginning of the show, despite the fact that we wanted to order more items. This left us leaving us feeling overlooked. All this to say--the comedians were funny, from the host thru the headliner, we just wish the circumstances surrounding our visit would have lived up to expectations. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously because comedy shows should be enjoyable for everyone, not overshadowed by poor audience behavior and lack of staff action. read more

First time coming to the funny bone. We saw Christopher Titus. He was great. Our server was not very attentive. I think I only saw her 3 times in the three hours we were there. Our food came out piping hot but an hour after we ordered it. We watched people who ordered way after us get their food before us, which is always frustrating. I have seen Wayans, Daily Show alums, and more here all with the knowledge that this venue has the ambiance of a local dive bar/comedy house. It is not pretentious and neither is the clientele. The heartland is a place where folks come as they are, and come as they are - they do. Save the nice outfits for the stadium tours, this is the area where you are dress casual or with the jeans and nice shirt guys. The star of the place in my opinion is the food. lol, the drinks are alright but the shrimp quesadilla is my go to. Is it really a quesadilla if they put sauce and lettuce IN IT? Well no but that is the heartland version and it is pretty good. For $17 dollars you can safely split it between your date and grab two beers for a $40 dollar with tip light bite. As long as I have been coming here, I would have thought I would've written a review sooner. However, it appears that the Funny Bone has always flown under my radar. Seeing as I finally noticed it here goes. Comedy? We got that. Drinks? Check. Food? Check (and by the way the Funnel Cake fries are epic with the Raspberry Sauce!!!!). But how about the Service you ask? It's good too! Is there anything they don't do right? Well the answer is no, not really (aside from the seating at which you can feel like a sardine crammed into a vacuum sealed bag)...... The prices are fair, comedians are good, some great, and also some who are very, very ,well known. Most people know of the Funny Bone, I mean, seriously they have locations all over the US, with that said, and the fact it's a hotspot at Easton, especially for adults who wouldn't "know" of it being there. It's like BAM, in your face right as you enter from the west garage on the ground floor, across from the legendary Legoland. Now I know I've been rambling on and on, and this is feeling more like a comedy write than a review, but maybe, just maybe it's my opening act for the non other than the Funny Bone. read more

Last night we went to The Funny Bone to watch John Morgan. I personally had never been there before. Must say that it was very enjoyable. We went to see John Morgan who was incredibly funny. Would definitely be watching out for his tours in the future. The opening act I personally was not impressed with so so names will be mentioned. I went to an open mike night tonight because a friend of a friend was performing. There were about a dozen amateur comedians that did 5-minute sets, and all but 2 were at least kind of funny. The club itself was nice, though. It was pretty full, but didn't feel really cramped. The drinks were pretty reasonably priced, and we got a couple of appetizers that were large and tasty. For what it's worth, the bathrooms were really clean, too. And the wait staff was really pleasant. If there's a comedian you like in town, and they're performing here, it's a nice, intimate venue. And if you have nothing to do on a open mike night, go check out a bunch of locals that might make it big some day, along with a few people that bomb... read more

We love going to the Columbus Funny Bone. Seeing a live comedy act, especially when the comedian is funny, there is just nothing like that. Seeing a performer perform live while laughing out loud. I absolutely love it! The Funny Bone always books good acts. I will go to any show, whether I am familiar with the comedian or not. I just love going to the shows. Last week we went to see Rocky Dale Davis and the first time we saw him perform was 5 years ago opening for Ralphie May at the Columbus Funny Bone. We have been a big fan ever since. Every time we go to the Funny Bone we treat it as a night out. Dinner and a show, like a date night! It is almost like a special occasion! We went tonight to see a 9:15 show, we have been there before and have had a decent time. This time was totally different. The tables are stacked a certain way as the space is not large. The way they are stacked allows people behind to see. Most of the 3 sections in the back are 4 seaters. The space between the aisles are just enough for the servers to get through. Tonight when we were there a 3 top at a sold out show brought 2 of their pfriends to their table. This means 5 people and one in the isle. What does this mean? Blocking people behind them seeing the stage and servers tripping on us behind them as the aisle way got way smaller. We believe servers stopped coming down the aisle as they couldn't get thru. Multiple people complained to the staff and nothing was done. We actually left early which was very unfortunate. Can everyone just be civil and not try to "bend" the rules! Everyone wants to have fun and enjoy. Please don't take that away from others!! The biggest complaint is, that I actually seen a server bring the issue up to "management " and they laughed. It was not funny and people were not happy!! Hopefully the concerns are addressed but we will not be back! read more

This review is going to be short and sweet. The shroom basket and dip was delicious, nice and crispy. The dip trio dips were all tasty. The Standup Long Island (top shelf version) was dangerously good, and was awesome each one came with a souvenir glass, the drink prices are pretty standard for columbus even with the souvenir glass. It was my first comedy show so I don't have anything to compare the venue to but the Funnybone is cleaner than any music hall or theater I've been to. The tables were spread out efficiently for social distancing. The staff was kind and great at the jobs. The bathrooms were clean, the bar/cafe was visually aesthetic. Not exactly sure what else I should be adding other than the comedians were very funny. Arnez had some new material he was trying out and sounded nervous (although I think there must have been something in that Columbus water), he had no reason to be nervous his material was a hit! Well maybe this review wasn't as short as I thought it was going to be. But If I continue I might as well talk about the whole Easton Shopping Center. This was my first visit to the Funny Bone Comedy Club since it's renovation and I must say, I was very impressed. In the past, the tables were clustered along with the chairs for maximum seating but it was a complete mess. It seemed as if you could lay in the lap of the person next to you if you wanted to. It was especially troubling if you wanted to go to the restroom, trying to walk through everyone in the dark. With the new layout, there's more room between the tables in front of and on the sides, with a greater walkway along the mid section of the club. The stage has been redesigned as well. I ordered the Comedy Club which was fresh, temperature hot, well-seasoned and just plain delicious. You know a sandwich is good when it's enough to satisfy you, but you want to order another. The comics were hilarious and our server (Michael) was super cool. Definitely a great place to end the day with friends. read more

Got some free tickets for the show so decided to come over. Love the comedy, not the drink prices. We've been 3 or 4 times now. Yes, we go wherever we can, who doesn't like to laugh. I don't like how they seat you with others, but I know why they do it. I like that it's small and cozy. The food is bar food, not bad but nothing to hoot and holler about. Great convenient place to see a show and hang with friends. Group decided to see a show together and made reservations for twelve to see Chris Titus for the early show (8pm). The place fills us and tonight they had 400 people for both shows. Last night the warm up Comedian was Rob Ward from Cleveland - and he was hilarious. Chris Titus is an experienced and well known comedian that was non stop for 90 minutes. It was great - sarcastic accounts of his life - however chaotic/disturbing it was. LOL. Best advice, make reservations (tickets), get there early as you will likely stand in a line to get seats and it is first in likely best seats. if you are a couple of 2 -they will seat you with another couple likely. The funny bone is a machine based on how they manage people in and out of the shows. They are friendly but serious about the process. They have a good bar food menu that you can order during the show or prior to in the warm up bar. The bartenders are friendly and they have drink specials too. If you need to meet up - plan an early stop in their bar- as it is very convenient. Service during the show is good too. Thanks Alexis for your great service Friday night.
