Last night I attended the Anthony Robustiano show at Funny Bone. The doors to Funny Bone opened at 5:30 and the show started at 7. I arrived at 5:30. There is a large bar area you can wait at and order drinks or food while you wait for the club to start seating. I ordered an espresso martini while I waited. The martini was ok. It had ice crystals in it which I found odd. Otherwise flavor was fine. Almost tasted more chocolate than espresso in my opinion. We didn't have to wait long for the theater to start seating. I was put at a long table. I came with one other person and we were set with 3 other sets of couples. It's kind of a nice way to meet new people. A server came around and I ordered a hot Sicilian (it was ok) and a tall Bud light. The Bud Light was 10 dollars which seems kinda crazy to me. My food and drink came pretty quick. My friend's beer took a really long time and the server had to be reminded. I heard other people at our table have to remind her of their orders. Also our server seemed to vanish for long periods of time. You might think it was due to the show but I saw other servers visiting their tables. Also the comedy show was set to start at 7 but the opening act didn't even start until 7:30ish. The best part of funny bone is the small intimate setting for the comedians. It is a really nice place to see the show. Just needs better service and to stay on schedule.

Had a great time here and saw a funny show. The actual space is a lot smaller than I expected it to be. It's very intimate and had random seating. We were sat on the edge so it was kind of an odd angle the whole time but still very close. The servers come and take your order at the table and that was nice to be able to have drinks and food brought to us. I had a great time, they have great prices so I'll be back for sure

Went to see comedian Anjelica Johnson -Reyes this evening. She was very good and very down to earth and had lots of facial expressions. Our server was great and I thought the food was pricey. We ordered the spinach dip which came with tortilla chips. The dip was good but the chips stale. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and it was $15.99! Our daughter had chicken wings dinner which the wings were delicious and the fries great! I believe they were $17.99 and Hubby had grilled chicken club which he liked. Overall it was a fun evening!

Review Visit: April 6th, 2013 You can say the Funny Bone really tickled all of our funny bones! On a crazy fun trip to Columbus, our friend Doug got us tickets to see Harland Williams at the Funny Bone. We really didn't know who it was until we got there. The Funny Bone is located in the Easton Town Center, which is another post all on it's own. Any who, while we were waiting in line to get in, Harland came out and talked to the crowd! How awesome. He was promoting his new comedy dvd and was doing a small Meet-n-Greet before the show. We didn't think we would get to meet him, but we did! He was very pleasant and let us take a group photo with him. On to the show. I believe your ticket has assigned seats, unlike other comedic venues I have been to. We were situated in a great place. Right in the middle with easy access to anything and a great view of the act. We all had a few drinks and proceeded to laugh our asses off. We all had a great time. We had more than enough laughs for the rest of the year. We didn't try any food, so my rating is based purely on the act and the kindness of the staff. Apparently, the Funny Bone is a small chain across the US. You can view their Wiki page below to see if there are any near you.

I went to my first show at the Funny Bone this week and had a great time! I wanted to go because a Jen Fuhlweiler was performing, and I think her stuff is hilarious. I'm glad that photos are prohibited during the shows, because I was full on howling the whole time and I'm sure that was very attractive.... They have a 2 item per person minimum in the club for shows, but food counts, which was great. I had actually been a little worried about the quality of the food, since you're kind of captive, but we both really liked our dinners and the portions were really quite generous! I went with the shrimp platter, which had giant juicy shrimp and fries, and some of the house Riesling. Yummy! The service is really great, they're very attentive, it was quick, even as the place filled up, and the servers come by a lot. The downside is the seating. Your seat is assigned at shared tables based on when you purchase your ticket. But they really cram you up into the front. I was touching at least two people and there was a woman literally screaming in my ear (I'm glad she was having a great time, but she was less than a foot from my ears). I'd have rather been seated a little further back and been able to get out of my chair, particularly since it was about half full on the floor that night.

The performance was amazing the headliner and the opener of tonight's comedy show. The service was subpar, the burger was not served with any condiments i.e. mayo or mustard. When asked packets of mayo and ketchup were brought out. The guest was charged more than the tip she designated so the manager had to make adjustments to her card.

2023 update, things are back to normal for the most part. Good to be back out with crowds again. Saw John Reep this time, one of the many great acts that are touring again. The place was remodeled since my last review Looks good. On our last visit we had a terrible server who gave herself a 30% tip on my card after removing someone else's drinks from my tab. A couple of menu items are no longer available, but still on the menu. Still had a great time and happy to be back.

Show doors at 9, show supposed to start at 9:30. At seats, no drinks, time 10:25. Go to bar to order... will be by your seat to take order... Hopefully the show is good... when it starts... and we can order a drink.

Beautiful but not very delicious. Need more fruity flavor

Great. Our server Ava greeted us and took our drink orders. I got the Brunch Sangria. So good. Actually 3 of us got one. Things were moving along. She came back around we put our order in. That was probably around 12:20. Making great time. I got a side salad. A friend got the Wedge. That came out in good timing. It was pretty good. This is when things went left. Around 1:30pm.... The entrees came out. I got the chicken potstickers. The temp on them was ok. But the other meals were cold. Yall... their meals were inedible. We waited all that time for their food to be cold. Not only that there was no check-in being done from our server. Felt kind of neglected. The manager came over to apologize after it was asked if they could have food that was hot. He seemed sorry. But it kind of put a damper on the meal. This is not a cheap place. Expectations are high. They were busy. Totally understand. However to serve cold food is not cool at all. Like I said I ate my potstickers. They were delicious. Could have been a hotter temperature for sure. But it is what it is. Will I go back? Yes. Definitely with the hope of better.

We were told staff did not want to "cause a scene," so they made all six of us leave instead and gave us refunds and vouchers. The worst part was that a mall security officer later approached us in the lobby and said nobody had contacted him. He told us he would have gone inside and removed the people from our seats. By then, we had already been refunded and the night was ruined. I appreciate the refund, but AMC should have enforced the assigned seating and contacted security. I signed up for this social bowling league not knowing a soul involved with it. After joining and…read moretelling others about it, I've learned in that people either know it by name or have no clue it exists. So let's spread the word about it! My league is at Columbus Square Bowling Palace. Bartenders try to get you your drinks quickly so you can get back to your lane by the next frame. Desk attendees are polite and helpful when picking up shoes or printing off the team scores. Extra time has been added when balls get stuck which prevent the game from continuing. Parking lot is well lit. Restrooms are always clean. This is the first time I've been with Better Off Bowling and I don't think it will be my last. The League President sets the tone but I'll get to that later. The site is fairly easy to use when registering. You can sign up in various ways. One person can make a team and send an invite to people to join. One person can sign everyone up and get reimbursed by team members later. Or you can sign up as an individual and hope for the best. I signed up as an individual and hoped I'd be put on a good team. Not necessarily a high scoring team, just one with friendly people and no creepers. My team ended up being 10 people. There's a max of 8 bowlers that can be on a lane so it made it very interesting the first week we bowled. We were offered several different options on how to reduce the team to 8. That needed some ingenuity and good customer service! The bowlers all have different reasons for joining. It's date night, business networking, meeting singles, making new friends, and so on without pressure to bowl high scores every game. Some people are competitive bowlers and have their own gear. Some want a standing appointment with their friends for doing something. Others just want out of the house and have fun. 90-minutes is on the clock for the teams to bowl. The top 4 scores from a single game count for your team. When playing with complete strangers, be respectful that there's limited time to play, and show up on time. On time would be 10-15 minutes early to pickup shoes, bowl, and drinks so the team can bowl right away. If your team can't play an entire game then you'll end up with low scores and possibly frustrated team members. Where does the social part come in? A few ways. The teams are paired up to answer trivia questions. Prizes for winners! A team captain has to put in the scores; pick a captain or two! After the 90-minutes for bowling people are encouraged to stay for social time in the bar. Drinkers and non-drinkers are welcome. Here's where the League President is key. Did the President stop showing up? Are they friendly? Are weekly newsletters sent out? Are weekly events (Jenga, beer pong, euchre, karaoke) hyped up at all? Does the President coordinate bar use with the venue? Does Better Off Bowling have a budget for board games, cards against humanity, or a deck of cards to facilitate social time? Does the League President remember people's names? Make introductions to others? Some people need a little help in meeting others. Or they feel more comfortable opening up to a few people at a time. There are other leagues and bowlers around while we play. No drink specials other than Happy Hour that I'm aware of, but we usually have the bar to ourselves. Current pricing is less than $100 for six weeks which includes team shirts and shoe rental. There is early bird pricing available as well as referral money if people sign up using your link.
