One of my favorite places in Columbus! The food and drinks are really good and at a decent price point. We just got the mozzarella sticks this time since we went to dinner before hand. They were just right. Crispy on the outside okey gooey cheese on the inside. This was my second time going to the Funny Bone. The first time was to see Bill Bellamy. I came here this time to see Gary Owen who was hilarious from the start & had me on the verge of tears the entire night. But back to the location itself. I love the atmosphere of this place. It's a great setting for a comedy show & just hang out honestly with some friends to get a drink or just eat. It's bigger than you think inside but still very intimate at the same time. The service is great & the food doesn't take long at all as you would expect with the amount of people in the place. I truly enjoyed that part. The drinks were great & the comedy club sandwich I had was downright delicious & super filling. I selected the sweet potatoes to go with it which took my meal to the next level. You ever been full but the food was sooo good but you kept eating cause you didn't want to take the food home or throw away. Had a great time seeing Drew Lynch (of America's Got Talent fame) and his dog Stella, along with his opener. They packed us in like sardines on the lower level. Not sure why they didn't open up the balcony? Service was a bit slow to be greeted, get our drinks, then meals. They need more servers! Our waitress was friendly, but just overloaded. We got the burgers, which were good but pricey. To be expected. I didn't like that each additional topping on the burger was an extra charge of $1. Seriously? The fries were limp. My rating is for the food part of my experience at the Funny Bone. The comedy acts tonight were HILARIOUS! The headliner was Trixx and he was SO funny! I'll be sure to come back the next time he's here in Columbus. As far as food I ordered a three cheese and chicken quesadilla. The tortilla had grill marks but wasn't toasted so it crunched nor did the cheese seem to be melted all the way. It was served warm (not hot) and with it not being toasted caused it to fall apart when I picked it up or attempted to dip it in sour cream. First time there. First and foremost, do not believe anything they tell you about what time to get there. They will tell you to be there 90 minutes before the show so they can sell you terrible food and drink. Get there whenever you want. Of course you're not there for the food but for the laughs. The laughs are phenomenal and it's a nice venue with good seating. Strongly suggest you eat before you get there. Drinks seemed reasonably priced. read more

Took my dad to the funny bone for Father's Day, well a late gift. We got here at 6:15 for a 7pm show time. When we walked in the place was already crowded. We gave our tickets and were escorted to the front row since we bought our tickets early, they assign their seats as you buy them online. We were a bit hesitant to eat here as everything seemed very unhealthy but decided to anyway. I ordered the chicken tender platter and we split the shrimp entree. I took the online version and paid for e-filing. The court told me they didn't receive anything and sent a summons. I called and Funny Bones told me I paid for the instant download version and needed to print and take it to the court myself. I explained I *also* paid for e-filing. She *then* told me they sent an email and I had to take that to court and file it myself (that's not how they describe e-filing and that's not what any definition of e-filing is). She then told me she would "re-send" the email. I never received the first one *and* that is not what E-filing is! read more

I've been to a few Funny Bone shows now and I had a blast each time!! The staff is very nice and the drinks are poured strong. It is very difficult to wait on people in a comedy club because there are so many people wanting drinks and food all at once. This being said, I think the staff does a great job getting drinks and food out in a timely manner. There is also free parking in the garage which is a huge plus! The Funny Bone is one of my favorite spots in Columbus. They book hilarious comedians. My first experience at the Funny Bone was a Ralph Harris show earlier this year. I bought the tickets as a present for my boyfriend Greg. They were pretty cheap, so I decided to buy his dinner at the club too. I still got off pretty easy. The prices are totally affordable. Since we planned to eat there, we were told to arrive about an hour early. We ended up being the first people to show and were placed at a small table with four chairs, front and center. We were so close that Greg's thigh was rubbing up against the stage. I felt like we were right in the line of fire, but our waiter assured us that Ralph doesn't pick on his fans. Dinner was not so hot. I had the chicken Madeira, a boneless breast with garlic, mushrooms, herbs, and a brown Madeira sauce accompanied by broccoli and mashed potatoes. The chicken was chewy; the sauce was unappetizing; and the veggies were just plain ordinary. Greg had the Tuscan grinder: shaved smoked turkey, bacon, and provolone cheese on Panini bread with chipotle mayo. I didn't eat much of my meal. I politely had it boxed up, but I don't think I even touched the stuff once we were home. If you're planning on going to the Funny Bone, my suggestion is to go somewhere nicer for dinner and then just go to the comedy club for drinks and entertainment. It's what they do best. The evening got a little awkward when we realized that two more people would be joining our small table. A light bulb went on in our heads when the couple eating behind us was greeted by two strangers, who politely congregated around the small table full of plates. We looked at the two empty chairs at our own table and began wondering when our unexpected guests would arrive. Just as the show was starting, two middle-aged, full-figure women saddled up to the seats across from us. Honestly, I felt sorry for them, having to be crammed together into such a small space. Greg and I are rail thin, and we were having enough trouble not knocking knees with each other. As the evening's emcee took the stage, I thanked my lucky stars that we didn't have to make small talk. The emcee had a rude-comic persona, which I get, but am not really into. He wasn't on stage long before passing the mic to opening act, Marina Franklin. She was funny. She had some really good jokes. She picked on Greg a little. We all laughed, but, honestly, I just wanted to get to the main show. When Ralph came out in his oversized, camel toned suit, there was resounding applause. We had watched Ralph all season on Last Comic Standing. I expected to hear some of the same jokes, but he kept it mostly fresh. I was pleased to see that not all his material was scripted. He played off the crowd a lot. Ralph is a veteran of the Funny Bone, and two of his biggest fans were sitting up front at the table next to us. Ralph recognized them and thanked them for coming out to all his Columbus shows and giving him support. Then he did their favorite joke to end the night. Ralph's a very charismatic comedian. I'd love to go to the Funny Bone again. Shows closing out the rest of this year include Ralphie May, Sommore, Hal Sparks, and Pauly Shore. read more

Unacceptable logistics :/ bought tixx for an 1145 show- was advised to arrive by 11p for will call tixx - it is 1148p and there are over 60 people still on line waiting to enter the club with no guidance as to what the hold up is or why our tickets were converted to "post its". This cannot be the first time a late / third show was added to the lineup - at this point the only jokes are the one on all of us that bought tixx for an 1145 showing of Marin Wayans. At 1150 the doors have finally opened & it should be interesting to see the order in which we are assembled to enter. Disorganized, disorderly and down right ridiculous. read more

Oh, Funny Bone. The number one thing that we learned on this visit is to sign up for dinner to get better seats. Also, next time we'll just say screw it and pay for four ticket so we can sit at a table by ourselves. Yeah, so the tables are god awful small and you'll totally be sharing. If you're not a "sharing" type of person and can afford the extra seats, I'd do it. I don't really know if they'll "let" you do it, but goodness I'm going to try. For this visit we were in the balcony, on the end closest to the stage. The view was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the show. The warm up comedian is crass, yes. But, he's a comedian. If you have an extremely thin skin, not sure I recommend going to a comedy show to begin with. The chairs are horribly uncomfortable. If you have back issues, you'll be in some pain by the end of the evening. The food was "ok". We had the potato skins that were decent. They were fairly cheesy, but after a while they solidified and were....well....yeah. The hubs got a beer and it was ok. I just had a water, so nothing new to write home on that. I'll come back, but will be doing things a little different when getting tickets and seats. read more

While some people will criticize this venue for being located in a mall, I would say... why not? It's very convenient for the crowd they're catering to and it works really well for them. The Funny Bone brings in nationally known comics and local acts and they provide a great space for all types of comedians. I am proud to know this place is close to my home. In the past year or two, they built an entirely new room to host the comics (the lobby/bar area remains the same) and it feels more like a downtown comedy club, which I give them props for. I have seen Tommy Johnagin and Juston McKinney here, among others. Always great supporting acts in addition to the headliner. Even the hosts have been entertaining! I would highly recommend this place for group events (make a reservation) and watch for the groupon and coupons because they are a STEAL at times. The service is great, although the drinks and food are pricey (expected), and they create a nice atmosphere to you enjoy a nice out. read more

I recently attended a show at Funny Bone for the first time and had a pretty enjoyable experience. My only complaint might be that it gets pretty tightly packed in the space (I'm not sure if every show is equally full, but for mine, there wasn't much room to move around once everybody had arrived). That being said, the show I saw was great. The food and drinks I had were pretty decent as well. The menu is pretty standard bar food, but the burger I had was well-prepared. All in all, it was a good time, and I'd likely return in the future. read more

My office has hosted our holiday party at the Funny Bone for the past four years. It's a great place to host an event for a large group. It might not seem like it if you've been there before because of the squeezed in seating, but for large groups, you can arrange to have a buffet style dinner, with desserts prior to the 7pm show. The food is not outstanding. It's clearly been in the chafing dish for too long, but it's not horrible either. They do not consider restricted diets like vegetarian or peskatarian, but there was enough steamed broccoli (and wine) to fill me up. I would not recommend the Funny Bone if you get offended easily. The performers are professionals and have the confidence to match. They will say whatever it is that will result in a laugh, even if it's 'so wrong' to laugh. read more

I absolutely loved my recent experience at the Funny Bone. I have not been since they remodeled, and it is gorgeous! You don't feel like you are sitting on top of other people. I arrived early for a drink and appetizer with my friend at the bar, and the appetizers were subpar and reasoning for 4 stars instead of 5. Most of the nachos were dry and felt they were a little stingy on the toppings. Drinks were fantastic! I recommend a sex on vacation. It was perfect. I eventually substituted passionfruit rum for coconut rum and loved it even more. We had multiple drinks ranging from wine, margaritas and cocktails. I will admit the tickets were on the house for the show, but we always make up for it in alcohol. Dave Landau was amazing! I would totally see him again! I was almost in tears from laughing so hard. No one should ever go to the Funny Bone with getting Funnel Cake Fries.. They. Are. Life. Especially with a slight buzz! If you get one thing, get those!! With a name like funny bone, the show definitely lived up to it! Now, as for the venue itself. The bar area was nice, clean, and had a decent selection. The bartender served us promptly and I have no complaints here. During the show, the table i was at never got served until someone at the table pulled aside a random server. He apologized, got our drinks and hooked us up with free passes to another show. So although it was annoying to not be served, he definitely made up for it! We've been to the Funny Bone several times and each time leave saying "we should do that more often!". It's a great night out, and there is always a good show. The service is attentive without being overbearing (we are there to see a comedy show!). The specialty drinks are good, even though they are a little overpriced. Parking is free in the Easton parking garage. The food is pretty terrible to be honest. There is nothing special on the menu and everything is just kind of "blah". The service is always on par and the venue itself is super up close and personal with the comedian or performer that is there that night. Tonight was the first night I've came to the funny bone to see Jason Banks and the show was amazing all the comedians were great. However we ordered food and when it came marinara slide off the plate and all over my outfit, the person who bought the food identified himself as the manager and apologized which I appreciated and of course I know accidents happen so I wasn't upset but I was told that it would be taken care of, I never seen him for the rest of the night my bill came and there was no type of compensation at all just very disappointed in how it was handled. read more
