With nobody willing to stay with him while we were away, and not enough money to board him for extended periods of time, we did what we thought was the responsible thing to do and reached out to JW to help us rehome him. After all, the paperwork we got (and the nice lady we got him from) said to bring him back if ANYTHING happens, no questions asked. Didn't matter if it was 10 months or 10 years. We were made to feel like complete trash for being in this situation. Chastised, called liars, the whole bit. After a lengthy back and forth at the beginning of August, we were told to send pictures so they can find a place for him. In the meantime, he was home alone many days with various relatives who were able to drop by and feed him and take him out. Fast forward to November...not a peep from JW. One night the dog decided he'd try to bite my daughter while she was laying on the couch, then he went after the cat. At that point, we reached back out and JW stated they could no longer help us, because the dog is now aggressive. We have tried to stick it out and worked with him through many bad days and he was showing some promise. Then I took him to the vet and he tried to bite the vet tech, and proceeded to go after me (before anybody so much as touched him). I have a feeling our time away has something to do with this, and this is exactly what we were trying to prevent to begin with. So if you think there is even a sliver of a chance that you may need to re-home a dog from JW, don't even bother. It has been a nightmare. We can't surrender him, we can't rehome him, and now we have a house full of people who may or may not be attacked by this dog at any given moment.

Honestly they are likely abandoned because the owners didn't have the bandwidth to deal with personality quirks. If you don't understand this, you aren't an experienced dog owner. We have had many rescues with various "quirks" and accept this as who they are. As long as they love us, we work with it. Most veterinarians are very understanding as long as you are honest about your dog's limitations. Our two little ones came into our lives after we lost our last larger pup. We wanted smaller dogs for handing ease. We weren't looking for two, but when we heard they were found together we were happy they might be a bonded pair. As it turns out, one is a super easy dog-people lover and the other is a terror! Nevertheless, we love them both equally and they love us back. Don't expect to get a perfect dog. They don't exist. They are like children who can surprise you no matter how perfectly you think you reared them. As for Jake's Wish, the contact I worked with was prompt, kind, efficient and understanding. We are over the moon with our two little beings.

I was extremely impressed and I use them about six times a year to pet sit. The app that they use makes it very easy to schedule, pay and communicate. And every day that they come, I get an email and a photo from them.

I felt comfortable leaving him with people that seemed to be dog lovers themselves. -I told her this was his FIRST time staying anywhere but home. -I told her he's a VERY skittish dog. He's half shihtzu half chihuahua so the chihuahua half gets the best of him sometimes. -I told her he's a calm and behaved dog if he's in a controlled environment like a gated back yard or indoors, Ariana said she could tell and agreed. -I told her I was nervous as well, leaving my fur baby for the first time. -And lastly I told her that even as his owner, I don't trust him off his leash when we're out because of how easily he gets scared and can take off. Having explained all that to Ariana, 4/5 hours into his FIRST day I received a call that she had opened the door and he ran off. Why she opened the door without having a leash on him is beyond me! A dog you've had in your care for no more than a few hours, you can't ASSUME he's going to behave like the other dogs. It's inexcusable! If you expect or only want to care for dogs that "behave" like yours then you should specify what kind of business you want to run. If you are not able to care for dogs with different temperaments please let people know. REPLY: You did lose him. Luckily he was returned because of the GPS tracker he has. I made it clear that he runs if he's scared & this was his first time anywhere but home. That & the fact that he requires a GPS tracker in the first place because of his temperament, should have been enough to make it CLEAR to you what kind of care he requires. It was irresponsible for you to take him in. It's not about being nice, helpful, or you being "great people" to ME by taking in my dog. If you're trying to run a legitimate business you should be open about what you are capable or not capable of doing. I would much have rather you told me that he required too much attention for you to really care for him, than do what you did. Take him in, not watch him carefully enough & he escapes. Yes I don't trust him. He does get scared so he bolts. It's what he does, so even as his owner I always have him on a leash before opening doors. Like some dogs, if he sees an open door he will go for it. He didn't escape to happily frolic through your neighbor's yards. He was nervous his first day there. And the reason I'm replying is because you didn't even call me right away. He was already a mile away from your home when you contacted me. The pictures will show how far he was when I took the screenshot. I sent it to my emergency contact to show her exactly where he was while I was still on the phone with you. It also shows the date of March 3rd which proves it was the day he started his stay. Like I said, he bolts! He could've bolted into traffic during that whole mile chase where you decided to not call me first.

Fortunately I found a great pet sitter who does over night stays to a week, which I needed. They took care of my dog Sam with walks, play time to the park and even took Sam for car rides. Sam was spoiled with love, care and treated like family. Daily updates with text messages on how he is doing, my favorite part while I was away from town. I am definitely referring this business to my friends and family that need a pet sitter while away out of town!

However- this place has exceeded all my expectations. Not only were the staff incredibly genuine with their quality of care and affection towards my little ones, the place of business itself is so clean and beautiful you could probably eat off of the floor. They have so many nice treats and goodies, doggy apparel, tools, and etc that I practically can't help myself but to purchase every so often I'm in there. Once they were done with my babies nails, one of the groomers actually came out and gave me a very solid suggestion- just something to keep in mind next time I bring them for their nail care. I really appreciated that she took the time to actually assess what she was seeing and how we could improve their quality of groom for their next visit. About 2…read moremonths ago I took her (a small long haired mix) after calling and being told on the phone that I could bring her in that day if I could get there within 15 minutes. I was happy to do so but when I went to pick her up it was truly a terrible cut. Her hair was chopped off unevenly and all of the eyelashes on her right eye were cut very short, the left eyelashes were similar but not as severe. I was rushed out and didn't notice until I got home. Recently I decided to try them one more time although there are many choices for grooming in my area. I took her in and the young woman checking her in was supremely uninterested in what I told her about the last visit. She actually said "Are you sure you want to leave her here today?" Otherwise seemed bored. The grooming was adequate but due to the nonexistent customer service I won't be returning.
