tuna pok*
Brittany G.

I really love the food at Fusian. It's pricey in the land of grocery store sushi, sure, but it's better. It tastes better, it feels better, it's honest to goodness fresh sushi, and that's to be celebrated by devouring it and rolling your swollen fish filled body out the door. Their tuna poke is perfect, truly, no notes. The tuna is fresh, the red onion, avocado and cucumber are peak fresh, and the sauce is so sweet and delicious. It's the perfect bowl of flavor. I get a Cali roll on the size because again, I love good crab and sweet sauces, and this roll is great. My kids enjoyed the shrimp tempura, and the chili dipping sauce was really delicious. The carrot and cucumber salad is standard Japanese house salad fare, but still a tasty addition.

I've been meaning to check this place out for a while! Located in the shopping plaza with Whole Foods and OrangeTheory, there is plenty of parking. They have plenty of outdoor seating! The inside is very modern looking and brightly lit. I ended up doing a create your own bowl! They had a vegetarian option of doing tofu, which was pretty good. They have plenty of fresh veggies to choose from for your toppings. You also have a choice of different types of sauces. I also got the miso soup which had pieces of tofu in it. It was slightly salty to my taste but still pretty good. For the price, you get a lot of food. I was able to make two meals out of it. They also have a variety of drink options including the gingerade which is my personal favorite. I will definitely be coming back!

What a mess!

As much as I try to like FUSIAN, and believe me I've tried, every time I leave disappointed. The quality, quantity and even how the food is made is different each time I've visited. Sometimes everything is mixed together and sometimes things are just piled up on top of each other. Often whatever dressing I've chosen will completely overpower the rest of the ingredients, and regardless of what I get I always feel overcharged for the quantity.

First off, the menu is very unclear. I ordered a 2 custom salmon bowl and almost every topping costed extra making the total to be ~$45. The server only told me mango was extra. For poke, they didn't carry a lot of typical toppings you'd usually see. Also the sauces were very bland and not suitable for Asian taste buds. The portion is pretty big, but still not worth it IMO. Final verdict: don't spend your money here. I recommend Rice Blvd or R&B Bubble Tea instead.

The food, the service, the ambience, it was absolutely, just amazing!!! This is the place you want to go when you want a relaxing day out and good food.

A while back I stumbled across this place by accident while looking for something to eat online. Generally I lean towards places with a larger sushi selection, but I decided to try this place nonetheless. And I'm glad I did! The food is always very fresh and you feel good eating it. I also love the option of customizing your own roll. It's nice to experiment as they have a ton of options. I have been very pleased with every item I've ordered so far. Thank you for serving up great food!!

salmon poke

I ordered on DoorDash hoping for a healthier option for dinner , I got the salmon poke bowl because my friend had just ordered it from DoorDash at work the day before and it looked delicious ( this was my first time trying fusian and it was NOT a good experience) I also got the kids bento box although it is for children I felt that was the best option to try a few things since it was my first time trying this place . The kids bento box was supposed to have a cucumber salad , 2 potstickers and a tuna sushi roll. When it arrived the box looked pretty much empty and there was no cucumber salad. My salmon poke bowl did not have the soy-sesame sauce in it it was supposed to have so it was super bland and I had to settle for the soy sauce packets they gave. There was also brown pieces of salmon I picked out , browned avocado & all my salmon was cut except one big piece which was strange. I called the restaurant to let them know my cucumber salad was missing and asked if they knew who made it to make sure it wasn't the doordasher who took it. To which the girl replied I don't know who made it and all of my employees are gone for the night kind of dismissing me and didn't seem to concerned, told me to call DoorDash and get a refund and that they , I quote "probably forgot it" . Called DoorDash and got a refund for that item to which I should have called and got a refund for it all because later tonight I got really bad food poisoning and got sick a few times and that's the only meal I ate today because I was busy throughout the day. Long story short terrible first experience, doesn't seem like they care about their customers/ customer service or the food they're putting out & I will not be spending money here ever again. Makes me really sad because I'm a major foody and I have worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years , was hoping to find a new place I loved. Edit: I also just remembered I put that I wanted spicy mayo as the sauce for the bento box and I never got that either. (When you online order it makes you pick atleast one sauce for the box) I can also see from all the bad reviews that many other people have gotten sick from this restaurant and I will be calling the health department to make a report.

Custom krab bowl

Great tasting food and good amount of food too. I got the bowl. Even though it's pricey, and the process could be better explained by the staff, still turns out good if you know what you want. Everyone was kind enough to give out samples. little tip: their "sweet soy" is basically eel sauce.

Ramen, sushi, poke bowl
Kevin L.

Quick service, sushi, poke bowls, ramen. Clean flavors, rice for sushi could be better, a bit dry and not enough flavor. Limited seating, self serve good selection of drinks. Good value for what it is.

The omakase is a must experience for any foodie and especially for anyone who loves sushi & yakitori! Came here for the first time 4 years ago, and again a few weeks ago. What struck me is that the same head sushi chef was there then and now and that they haven't really changed the menu too much. Yes absolutely there were new and creative twists, but there are tried and true staples which have been mastered. That feels like their vibe overall - friendly, neighborly, confidence in what they have and will keep doing what they're doing, seemingly resisting any pressure to expand or get bigger. It's perfection! The omakase menu has three phases: chef's kitchen, yakitori, sushi (gorgeous nigiri courses finished with the most insane cut roll I've ever had). Everything is delicious. No misses. My favorite phase is the sushi. We STARTED that off with the most melty buttery otoro. I thought that was bold, surely it could only go downhill from there. I was proved wrong bite after bite!! Seriously, imagine a series of nigiri bites that hold their own after the BEST. Of the yakitori, the chicken meatballs were my fave, so juicy never change. Highest quality, well crafted, expertly executed menu. Lowkey I also love that this omakase ends with the most delicious cut roll, and not dessert. As a savory girl through and through, this is perfect. The onlyyyy downside is that all the rich food gives me a bit of a stomachache afterwards :D. 10000% worth it.

Had I had come a minute later there wouldn't have been a table. The fish tasted really fresh. One thing that caught me off guard was the ambiance. It had more of an American pub vibe w very little Asian decor, atleast from what I saw. Also just a tad bit over priced, would I come back? Maybe. This was the most expensive sushi in the city but quality is there.

I'm consistently amazed at the quality and quantity in relation to the prices. It's a hidden gem that's not so hidden anymore--no matter the day of the week, the restaurant is always bustling with diners. I recommend making a reservation on weekends, as it tends to get busy, while weekdays are more low-key. The service is exceptional, and the drinks and bar offerings are fantastic. While wait times can be longer when ordering sushi--especially during peak hours--everything is made fresh with clear attention to detail. Although there are many creative and extravagant rolls on the menu, the Beast Roll remains a personal favorite. Topped with crab and shrimp tempura, it's an incredible value at around $12.50. The combination of quality, price, and service here is unmatched, making it the best bang for your buck. I've tried various dishes and appetizers, and I've been consistently satisfied each time. Having dined here numerous times, I've never encountered a single issue, which is a rare and impressive feat. Their takeout service is equally excellent.

I had started telling my wife "I can't believe something can taste this good!" The only other place in Toledo I would have something about which I would say this about was Souk. But then sometime towards the end of last year, the roll changed. It was still pretty good, but not the superb thing I had come to love. So I stopped coming in so often, but still once in a while in the hopes that they would go back to how they used to make it. I'd given up, but today broke down and went in today as I missed it so much. But my hopes were dashed as the roll was just pretty good. So I'll have to start the search to find another place to get my fix for rolls. Another thing is that during this time frame is how most of the time the salad comes out with just a bare dribble of dressing on it. So I guess a plausible explanation for this places downfall may simply be from skimping due to food costs.
