I was seated right away and handed both the full menu and their daily lunch menu, which comes with two choices: vegan or non-vegan. Plot twist -- even the non-vegan option arrives as a full-on sampler platter with a veggie dish included. My plate came stacked: fluffy basmati rice, rich butter chicken(top middle), tender chicken tandoori (top left), a hearty vegetable curry (top right), three massive slices of fresh naan, and a little dessert to finish things off. All for fifteen bucks. Fifteen! It's easily one of the best lunch deals downtown. Everything was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor -- except the dessert (bottom middle), which was cold(because it's supposed to be, but still super tasty. Zayka absolutely delivers on bold, authentic Indian cuisine at a price point that just feels unfair to everyone else. The buffet must still be an option, but not Thursdays apparently, so I'm already planning my return trip.

One of the highlights for us was discovering that the owners are the former owners of Taj Mahal on Republic Road. Having recently moved back to Springfield from Las Vegas, it was refreshing and comforting to see familiar faces again. The buffet truly has something for everyone.
