I just placed an order over the phone today. The food was disgusting. I ordered snow mountain, crab Rangoon, and lo mein. The shrimp in my sushi was dry and it taste like the oil that was fried in was old oil. The crab Rangoon had no crabs and it was sour. I called back and they gave me the run around. First I was appalled, second I was enraged, third I was disappointed. We came here last night, expecting a pretty decent meal because of the Yelp reviews beforehand. We ordered the Shrimp Shumai for an appetizer as we waited for our friends to join me and my hubs. It was ok, nothing special but ok. I then ordered the Pad Thai, and my husband ordered the Moo Gai Pan dish, our friends ordered the Chicken Udon Noodle Soup and Sashimi and Sushi. My Pad Thai had Shrimp and Chicken in it with minced peanuts and a light lime sauce, the first Shrimp I tasted was disgusting, a weird fishy taste indicating it was not fresh or had been refrigerated for too long a time. It was disgusting, I left all the shrimp on the plate and continued eating, the sauce was too much, there was too much of something, and I am not a picky eater at all, I have had Pad Thai a million times from many different spots and never has it been this bad. My husbands dish was OK, nothing special, it was a conglomeration of a bunch of stuff, some deep fried and some regular, the flavors didn't mesh well together. My friends Chicken Udon Noodle soup was tasteless, the broth was gross, and when her husband tried to say something to the waitress about it she started to argue with them, and said" you almost finished it and now you say you don't like it?" My friend took like 2 sips of the soup and her husband tried one dip it was mostly full with all the chicken and mushrooms still in it. She was extremely defensive and rude about it. We will never come back to this restaurant, it was distasteful and rude the way our friends were treated, as if they were trying to get out of paying, and he even pointed it out, he said I was just giving you feedback I wasn't trying to get out of paying. read more

My fiancé and I have never been so disrespected, EVER. We have never felt the need to complain but the food was just not good to put it in simple terms that we decided we would say something. We ordered our dishes, General Gau and Spicy Beef Basil. Which turned out to be not at all what we expected. The quality of the food was not good. We took, two bites, obviously to try it and waited for the waitress to come by tell her our dislike. By the time she came around to us, it had taken so long we just told her our complaint and asked for the check. When the check came in, they had not comp us for the food that we did not eat, so we asked to speak to the manager. Long story short. The manager began her defense with "You know that the customer is not always right." She accused us of trying to get "free food" (when we offered to pay for the drinks and the fried rice). This is just the short version of a 45 min argument. The point is, a business should not treat their customers the way they did. It did not look good on their part, arguing with a customers in front of other customer. She was just plain rude, as well as the sushi chef, who decided he knew better than us what we liked. TERRIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE!!! In any business, workers who use COMMON SENSE know that the essential part of promoting and receiving positive feedback to their businesses is to ALWAYS have COURTESY and RESPECT any costumer that they encounter. Unfortunately this place fails to provide good services in particular a first time costumer like me. The bad: Their food is a bit over priced and give very little for what it is worth. The lady who took my order on the phone should go learn how to read a map and learn to respect their costumer. The story: I made an order for delivery for the first time to this place because of the positive reviews on yelp. The lady took my order, I gave her the address and the waiting began. About 40 minutes later I received a call from the driver saying he couldn't find my house and that he was all the way in Haverhill MA which is about a 20 minute drive from Methuen MA. I repeated once again my address to the driver who apparently was told the wrong address by the lady who took the call. Two minutes later I received a call from the lady who took my order telling me in a very rude manner that the driver couldn't find my house and insisted that I lived in Haverhill MA. This went on for about another 5-10 minutes on the phone arguing back and forth as she was very convinced that I lived in another town. I told her landmarks, the area code and constantly repeated Lawrence MA. At the end she said if the driver can't find my house that I will have to go pick up the food myself. After all that I just wanted to cancel my order but decided to call the driver to see if he needed any help arriving to my house. Finally he arrived after about an hour and a half of waiting. The poor guy apologized for not arriving sooner as I told him this is my first and last time ordering from this place. The food obviously was cold by then and the amount was so little that It was not worth my money and time. I like coming to Fusion House mainly for lunch. Their combo plates are good - I usually get orange chicken, pork fried rice and crab rangoon. It comes with soup! Sushi is decent. Presentation of food is always fabulous. Decor is worth mentioning - they try to make it fancy. Service is usually good. Def worth checking out. read more

Went to Fusion House for a late lunch with a friend. My many-eth trip here and certainly not the last. You may have ordered a pu-pu platter elsewhere but you have never experienced a pu-pu platter until you've had one at Fusion House. Crab rangoon and shrimp are crisp and flavorful, teriyaki is tender and has a sublteness to the marinade that I've never had in any other teriyaki, not that sharp overmarinated tough beef flavor. Boneless spare ribs and spring roll (or egg roll as a sub) are not amazing but good. I will love chicken wings from anywhere (I'm like that) and don't do chicken fingers (too bland) so leave those for the friend to enjoy, which she does. This trip I had Mongolian Beef with brown rice. Asked for and got spicy. Whew! The thing you'll notice here is that your veggies are fresh. Many places the green peppers are a muted gray-green and the red peppers are dulled by the time they get to you (pre-cooked?). At Fusion House they are brightly colored and crisp tender the way they should be. I have tried the Hunan Lamb and the House Special sizzling Lamb and can recommend both if you like lamb. My absolute fave here was the Crispy Aromatic Beef. It was like a party for my taste buds. The Peking Ravioli are near perfect (dough is a teensy bit too thick) and the Gyoza is crisp and perfect. (Wow am I glad I have leftovers, my mouth is watering) BF loves Kung Pao and got Szechuan Spicy Chicken and found it the best he's had in years. My food was amazing but my friend didn't like her meal so we asked to have it taken off the bill and the manager had the audacity to tell my friend that "we don't do samples". A meal you don't like isn't a "sample", which for some reason the ignorant manager didn't seem to understand and proceeded to tell us that we were wasting their food and that it wasn't their fault that we didn't like it. Went here last weekend with a group of people to celebrate my friends birthday. The space is small and has limited tables and We walked in with 8 people, no reservation at about 6pm on a Saturday evening. I was shocked how quickly they were able to accommodate us. We waited for about 15 minutes and the waitress took drink orders while we waited which was great. I opted for wine but tried some sips of my friends cocktails and they were delicious but potent! Ordering is a little confusing - you mark down which regular sushi and maki you want but then there is a menu with speciality maki and non sushi items that you don't mark down (though we wrote it in). This place is authentic Japanese so there was a hint of a language barrier (which is why we opted to write in our specialty order). The sushi is STELLAR. It was delicious and fresh - the specialty rolls were creative and beautiful. I didn't take any pictures ‍ we were all starving from our pre dinner trampoline park excursion. I knocked them down a star because they served our group about 10 minutes apart. One couple got there food, 5 minutes later another group got theirs and 5 minutes after that the last group got their food. That always leaves the awkward moment of everyone telling the people who have food to go ahead and eat and the people who have the food obviously aren't going to start. The their reason I knocked them down is when they asked if we wanted to split the check we said sure and broke ourselves into 3 groups - come the end of the meal they didn't split the check because of our initial drink orders while we were waiting. Definitely go here and definitely make a reservation (if that option is available). When we left at about 7:45 there was a line out the door! read more

Great Peking ravioli! (dumplings)The meat is tasty, the covering (skins) is not too thick, and the soy type sauce, while I tend to prefer one more on the scallion tasting side, has its own unique sweetness which I consider not better or worse, but simply delicious. My favorite is their Szechuan Spicy Chicken. The sauce is a dark brown, but not too thick. Their Crispy Aromatic Beef is also good. I have mixed reviews about this place. It is a small place. The drinks were to DIE for. My husband and I shared a Scorpian Bowl and it was DELISH! I ordered the pad thai, and my husband ordered chicken fingers. I tried EVERYTHING to make the pad thai taste good, but nothing helped. The noodles were very plain. The dish itself had onion and peppers in it, which I have NEVER had in pad thai, nor was it written in the food write up. My husband had the chicken fingers, and he got sick from them. I did try them and didn't think they were bad, but he was sick all night. The couple we were with orderd a pu pu platter and sushi, and they LOVED it. The weight staff was VERY lovely. My friend forgot her doggy bag and one of the waiters (not even ours) brought it to the car. So....I would suggest NOT getting the thai food. Stick with the Chinese food or japanese. VERY mediocre food, and very slow service. Yes, it was Friday night, but it was fairly early and the restaurant was nowhere near full. The sushi sampler appetizer was just OK: not the freshest, on the small side. We waited almost 25 minutes for the Agashi Tofu appetizer to show up, and when it did, the best you can say is it was hot. It was mediocre at best, easily the worst rendition of this dish I've ever had. We had two duck dishes: the duck with mango and eggplant was just OK, but the duck with broccoli was suprisingly poorly made; the duck tasted a little off, as if it had been around too long. The sauce was the same on both dishes, and it was unsubtle; too salty, the flavors were brute force, too much teriyaki flavor in the sauce. The service was attentive: the problem was in the kitchen. The Ultimate Chocalate Martinis were adequate, probably the highlight of the evening. Given the number of competing restaurants of this type in the area, it's a safe bet we won't be back. There are better choices: Lee Chen in Lawrence, Shunju and Thyme in North Andover; not to mention the Sunshine Thai restaurant right across the street. read more

I took my dad out here for his birthday. It was a very pleasant experience and I'd gladly come back again for the sushi. First off, the place is a little creepy as it's in a strip mall. But once you go in, it's a very stylish place. It is very dark inside, I wish they had more lighting, but I think they're keeping it trendy. We ordered a few of the sushi rolls and a couple dinner plates for my family to split and to try the different meals. The sushi rolls were all on one plate, so if you don't know your sushi, you might want to ask what is your plate. The rolls were quite good, and I recommend Rose Lady, Boston Uncommon, and High Protein. We tried Kiss The Fire, but it was a disapointment (It wasn't spicy at all). We also ordered the Basil Chicken and Black Pepper Beef. They were good, but the portions were a little small. I don't think I personally would be full if I order one as my meal. I think if you order a meal and a roll you'd be better off if you want to make sure you're full after. They're not amazing dishes, but much better than a typical Asian take out place. The service was ok. They only had three waitresses on, and it was a full house. So it took a little bit of time for the waitresses to attend to our table, and not all of them speak English well, or at all. I'd recommend making a reservation if you're going to have a group because one, it is not a large place, and two, it filled up very quickly. read more

Stopped here based on a Yelp review. Our visit didn't start off great when we arrived at 2:50 and they said they weren't serving lunch - Yelp said lunch till 3. They did end up giving us the lunch menus which had 11:30 to 3pm printed right on them. I ordered the sushi combo and it was great. Very fresh and beautiful presentation. The seaweed salad was not the best or freshest. My son had the Bento. Not bad, but not the best either. He ordered the tempura shrimp - avoid it. It was greasy and the batter was more like the cornstarch batter they put on chicken fingers. Only the shrimp had panko. My other son had a luncheon special of chicken and broccoli and it was excellent, tasty and fresh. All-in I wouldn't give it four stars, but not bad for a quick find near the highway. read more

We got take-out, my husband got sushi, i got pad thai with chicken. I've never seen my husband spit out sushi, but he did tonight. He said it was 'chewy and funky'. My pad thai with chicken i suppose TECHNICALLY had chicken on it,..... ONE OUNCE (not a guess, i actually picked all of the chicken out and weighed it on my food scale). When we called the restaurant back they asked us to email a picture so we did. They called back to tell us that was their normal amount of chicken (seriously?) Very very happy with the sushi here. Some pleasant inventiveness on the menu, very fresh-tasting and nice presentation with even a hint of creativity. Have been fans of Inaka in Lawrence for quite some time, due to the dependability of the place and kindness of the staff / owners, but Fusion House will certainly compete for our sushi dollars. The sushi lunch menu is a great bang-for-the-buck but is served with a, sadly, only mediocre miso soup. If you go for dinner, be sure to sample some of the items included on the specialty sushi menu - so far everything has been a fantastic treat. I have not tried any of the Chinese menu items, so cannot comment upon that aspect of the restaurant. And given my happiness with the sushi bar, I probably won't ever want to sample those other offerings! read more

I'm going to go ahead and call it; this is the best Chinese food I've had in the area. Though the menu is Chinese and Japanese fusion, the flavors were still more in the Chinese side of things. The best and most different thing we had was the pineapple basil fried rice. I could eat that all day. The mango duck was also rather delicious, and for only $1 more than the same dish made with chicken, it made a while lot of sense. That dish also came with miso soup; it wasn't bad, but also forgettable. We also tried the Sichuan chicken as well as well as general GAO. Both were great, though general GAO had more flavor and spice. We did ask for our meals to be spicy. That didn't happen at all, so that was a disappointment. For is, Chinese isn't really Chinese unless it's really spicy. Price was still an issue. Carry out for is was $50 for three. That's a bit steep. That alongside the disappointing soup and lack of flavor in the Sichuan chicken had me knock two stars. read more

So when I called today to place an order for a phad Thai on top of my usual order, I was shocked to hear the owner demand that I order more food to reach a minimum of $20 for delivery. This has never been an issue before. I said to him, I've ordered my usual two things that were well under $20 before and I had it delivered to me no problem, what's changed? The owner said to me, "hold on one second." Slammed the phone down, and kept me waiting for at least 3 minutes (I thought he was going to figure out if he could help me or not but no.) Our first visit last month was dine-in and everything was delicious. Edamame was perfect (not too salty). Salad was fresh and flavorful. Miso soup and main entree (satsuma ebi with pine nuts) was generous and reasonably priced. Tonight we opted for take out. The chicken teriyaki was fabulous. Keyword in catching my eye on their website was" fine dining" I def did not expect to spend 46$ on regular, sub par chinese. Plus i paid 3$ delivery and tip for cold food. Only purchased a beef dish, bean curd dish, crab rangoon and a rice dish. I wouldve paid 20$ less at our normal corner place. Rice had no flavor, crab rangoon burned on ends. Yelp reviews was the only reason I found out about this great little sushi place and I wasn't disappointed. As the other reviews state, the place is relatively tiny- when you walk in, the bar is directly in front of you (no separation/wall)- which makes it tough to find a hostess if the bar is buzzing on a Saturday night. And who can blame you for coming to the bar at a sushi place in Methuen when the beers are $3.50 each- yup, even for a Sam Adams: $3.50 thats it. A huge glass of sake was under $5 as well. No trouble getting a table despite the busy bar. The menu is pretty robust and deciding on appetizers was tough. Had the steak teriyaki app, which was better than most places. Seaweed salad was average, but the sushi was so delicious. had a variety of rolls. Rolls were on the medium/large side. Very tasty. Service was really great. Spent some time sitting at the table after the bill was paid, and despite a Saturday night, despite the relatively full restaurant, they did not give us dirty looks or try to usher us out. My sister brought me here for sushi on a Friday evening, I was pleased and I would return again. Parking was a little tricky and it was cute but a little crowded inside. Seems like the bar is pretty busy. Live music started part way through the meal which set a nice mood, but I wish that it wasn't so crowded! Their menu was decent sized and offered Asian dishes as well as an impressive Sushi list. We started with hot and sour soup (vegetarian, has eggs). We then ordered the Kiss the FIre Roll, the Valentine roll and a couple of veggie rolls. This was really REALLY good sushi. The Kiss my Fire roll was not too spicy, but it was flavorful and different from a lot of sushi that I have had. The old Mr. Wok restaurant that used to be at this location was outdated and the food was so-so (I'd probably would have rated it at 2 stars) With the new owners and renovations, this is our new favorite Chinese restaurant for dining in and take out. We haven't tried the Japanese or sushi yet, but I can vouch for the Chinese! It is a small restaurant and they fill up fast at night so you may want to call for a reservation. Once was one of the better places to eat in Methuen, now one of the worst. My last visit we ordered a huge assortment of dishes from Chinese fare to sushi. Everything had literally no taste. It was a busy day when we went to pickup the food but that is never an excuse to provide dishes with literally no seasoning.
