I walked in with my partner to try this place out and get our nails done, and I can confidently say I won't be returning. For a shop that didn't appear to be very busy, it took far too long for anyone to acknowledge us. When a staff member finally approached, she asked what services we wanted but kept turning around mid‑conversation to yell to her coworkers in her language. We ended up being asked the same question three different times, which made it feel like no one was listening or wanted to be bothered. From what we could see, one employee was chatting on her phone with a drink in hand, another was watching TV, and another looked like she simply couldn't be bothered. I was immediately put off and honestly ready to leave, but I stayed because my partner still wanted to get their nails done. I personally declined service -- and that's when things got worse. While my partner was being serviced, the nail tech appeared to be making disparaging comments about us in her language. I've been in plenty of salons where employees speak their native language, and that has never been an issue. It becomes an issue when you're rolling your eyes, making it obvious you have a problem with us, and even shooting dirty looks in my direction while talking to another technician. It's rude, unprofessional, and makes customers feel unwelcome. After catching yet another dirty look, I finally asked if there was an issue she wanted to discuss. The attitude flipped instantly, which only confirmed what was going on. We did absolutely nothing except walk in to patronize the business, and if the tech was upset that I declined service, that was no excuse for the behavior. In short, the atmosphere is unwelcoming, the employees are rude, and to top it off, my partner's nails weren't even that great. Unless you enjoy dealing with unprofessional staff and being made to feel lesser-than, save your money and go elsewhere. read more

Please be sure to measure your child before coming. The staff will measure them for you. My 8 year old niece (she is tall for her age) had an appointment for a mani/pedi and a staff member pulled out a measuring tape. She measured in at 54 1/2 and they charged the full adult price. This is a very uncomfortable and demeaning practice for a growing child to go through. Also, a seemingly unnecessary process for a nail shop. My nail technician Lynn is very attentive and always makes sure my nails are to my satisfaction on every visit. Scheduled an appt for 11:30 for pedi and fill. Came on time if not a bit sooner, and requested Sunny for my fill like I always do. And after Vanny took care of my pedi (she always does great) I waited for 30+ mins to get my fill and no Sunny. No one also came back to give me a heads up. I've been going here for years and now it's time to support smaller businesses who are more considerate and professional. I truly didn't mind waiting for 15 mins or so.. but 30 mins with no one to check in to give me a heads up is 100% wrong. I always tip well when I come there & spend money and this is the respect I get. Never again will I ever set foot in this salon. And everyone that I ever referred to come there won't either. Kim has been a heaven sent! Originally, I had a color over my ombré acrylic which I knew would be not a simple task seeing as though not every salon has the same color. After removing the Fe color I had, Kim took her time and matched my ombré full perfectly. She took her time to make sure to transition to the white was seamless as well as make them look natural. I was greeted kindly by the staff and opted for the $40 spa pedicure. I didn't pay too much attention to what she was doing but by the time I got home and the paint dried, I noticed that the technician left just a little nail unpainted at the top of my bid toenails, so two days later it looked as though I needed a pedicure! As well, I do t know if the base coat was too thin, but the coats of paint are very unsubstantial. There was no work done on the cuticles, so it looks like I did this at home. I'm not happy. What a great find! After working so much, I decided to treat myself today and what a treat I got! So making the appointment was super easy. I came in on a Friday afternoon after running some errands. So what was slightly different about this place is that you can just let them know that you want a pedicure and then later they'll give you a book detailing the different kinds of pedicures they have. It was really nice because the last salon I went to I basically just blindly picked one. So the actual pedicure....the one I picked was called something like well balance tropical pedicure. They gave me some fruits and snacks. They have a variety of drinks (water, tea, soda, wine). My pedicure package included a message, scrub, hot wax, hot neck wrap, and callous removal. It was great! She took the time out to carefully remove my nails & she cared for their overall health before slapping a new set on (which I can appreciate). My daughter and I have been going to this place for the last three years and giving them so much business. Their prices have doubled after pandemic and their customer service has gone down. I got a mani/pedi on Saturday with regular nail polish and on Sunday both my nails and toes starts to chip off. I understand it was regular nail polish but it should not chip off in less than 24 hours. When Vani was applying the nail polish, she had problem with it and I am sure the nail polish wasn't good. I went there on Monday and showed them the nail polish, which looked like it was applied 10 days ago. They told me Vani went to pick up her kid. After waiting for 20 min, they said there was an issue with the bus and they are not sure when she would come back. They gave me an appointment to go back on Wednesday because Vani was off on Tuesday. I told them I don't want to come back so late and be told it's too late and they assured me they will fix it on Wednesday. However, when I got there for my appointment, Vani said that she will not color my nails because Sunny, the owner who was on vacation for the next 2 weeks, said we do not guarantee our work. They wasted my time twice and didn't do what they promised they would do, which was fixing their work. This is unbelievable. After all these years this is how I was treated. I used to be a regular client about 4yrs ago. This place used to be my favorite one to visit, I moved out of the area yet I came back a few days ago since in town. I saw one familiar face which was Mai and the owner the rest of the young ladies I have never seen before. Well my luck I got one for my pedicure which had no idea how to cut tow nails, so the owner had to jump in and assist with her ridiculously extremely long acrilic nails which was making uneasy how she could barely hold her tools. At the end I had the young lady do a good job at coloring only the rest was very unprofessional, I let go since I had a fill coming up! Well the fill was even WORSE! I was assisted by Jen young girl who was clueless and took over an 1hr an so to do a terrible job. 1 her acrylic fill was so extremely thin my nails started to pill off within two days 2nd her coloring was so bad I had to finish the coloring myself at the end because all sides of the nails were left unpainted 3rd I had nails unevenly cut ones longer than others. To make matters worse I called the owner to ask her for me to please come back and show her since the day I was there I was already irritated enough to see such a horrific work so then I called once I was more cooled down, her answers was "can you repeat"? "What did you say?" So me explaining calmly for a while she waits till I'm fully done to tell me she didn't understand my complaint, as well she says at the end well you colored your nails yourself. .of course I did! You lady did a terrible job and I was ready to leave I had been there for over two hrs watching your employees do a 10yr old work. $70 spent. The location is very easy to get to. It's off a main road but not a ton of traffic. They have a parking lot with plenty of space so that's always easy and free. The salon is modern in style. There is a secluded pedicure area that is very peaceful. They also offer a ton of different pedicures in different price ranges. I went there after they re-opened back up I was a little skeptical because of the whole Covid-19. After going there for two and half months I decided that I wanted to take my nails off and start doing manicures. so I taking off nails off myself and three of my fingernails are a greenish brown. I called the lady and spoke to her and explain the situation and all she said was that is only water underneath your nails. So now I have a wait for this to grow out I would never ever ever go there again. I was in the area and needed my nails done so decided to come here because they had good reviews. I'm very upset and wasted my money. The workers were rude, they did an ok job on my pedicure (Definitely not worth the money expecting that "Deluxe" service), they charge you a fee to pay with your debit card and since it's cash-only for tips, I had to pay extra $4 at the ATM just to tip them. I decided to take my mother here for a pedicure on her birthday. I called two days before to schedule an appointment for Thursday at 10:30am. The place is located in a small shopping center off of Minneville Rd. The waiting area was a little dirty and the furniture looked a little outdated. However, everyone was really nice, including the ladies that gave us the pedicure. The pedicure area was located in a small room with a television. There were 8 chairs and each one was filled. We both got the milk and honey pedicures which felt great. The chairs massage you, however the chair my mother was in didn't work properly. They gave us snacks and something to drink which was nice. The prices were reasonable and the workers were nice, but there's no luxury there if that's what you're looking for. read more

I was serviced by Rocky who gave me a fill and a pedi. I'm not even going to mention that the regular polish on my toes is chipped as well. We came in for a girls day and treated ourselves to a chocolate pedicure and basic mani. Pedicure was nice and the foot massage, paraffin dip, and polish were all perfect. We were offered wine, snacks and more snacks haha. Only complaint I have is that seeing as we both got the same chocolate pedicure which includes 10 minute neck, and shoulder massage.. you would think that we would get the same treatment. My friend got an amazing neck and shoulder massage with pillow and oil. On the other hand, I received a one-minute oil rub on my neck and that was it. This is the best pedicure I have EVER had. Yesterday was my first time at Fusion and it will not be my last. I came based on the website and Google reviews. I haven't had the best of experiences since I moved to the DMV. I took a shot in the dark at Fusion. Modern decor. They have shellah gel, a variety of opi, essie, and even a couple of butter polishes. They keep the latest colors and all the classics (opi bubble bath etc.). Henry was up on all the new trends so it was nice that I didn't have to explain what I wanted. I switch between acrylic overlay and shellah for my hands. Yesterday I did an overlay. It was good. I expected a manicure would be included for the price but it wasn't. That is expected at a "spa" salon as opposed to your neighborhood nail shop. That was a bummer but Henry knocked off $5 at the register so it wasn't a deal breaker. So now to heaven- the pedicure! I have been getting pedicures since I was a teenager so its safe to say I have about 20 years of experience getting the dogs done. I do not get to enjoy this luxury as often as I would like so I have high expectations. I was intrigued by the descriptions of the pedicures while I was getting my nails done so I opted for one of the spa pedicures. What can I say... a foot hot stone massage, head and shoulder massage, fruit to snack on, callus remover, yogurt/jelly detox exfoliate, masque and paraffin, yada yada yada- best of all was Nancy who has the best technique and customer service skill I have ever encountered. All I can say is, wow, Woodbridge. I mean, wow. Every now and again I browse Yelp listings to see if there are any diamonds in the rough that I simply must try. Fusion Nails & Spa received such glowing reviews that I was lured away from my usual spot on a Wednesday evening to experience it for myself. So glad I did! I was a 7pm walk-in (they close at 8) and after picking my cruise-ready color from a WALL (no really, a ton) of OPI polishes was taken back to a private pedi room right away by Lynn, who would be my pedicurist. No row of pedi chairs under glaring fluorescent lighting at Fusion! The room was quiet and nicely decorated with a comfy chair, table with magazines and a lamp and a brighter floor lamp pointed at my piggies (which I will disclose, needed a lot of lovin'). Lynn immediately went to get me a plate of fresh sliced oranges and a small cupcake and bottle of water. They have teas, wine, etc if you'd like which I think really sets them apart from other nail salons in the area. It's the little things! Once Lynn began to work on prepping my feet she handed me a "menu" of all their pedi services to select which one I'd like to try that evening. There are a lot of options and I decided on the European Spa Pedi to give my calluses a work out and also try a nice scrub, paraffin dip, hot towel treatment, etc. During past pedicures at other salons I find myself reading magazines or perusing my phone while the work gets done but this was different. I carried on a lovely conversation with Lynn and got to know quite a bit about her during my hour-long treatment. I even came armed with my tablet, thinking that I'd get some work done but it sat nestled in its sleeve the entire time. A first, for sure and while I know some of you may enjoy chat-less pedi sessions, I didn't find that our conversation interfered with the relaxing nature of the evening one iota :) She was thorough without being rough, efficient without rushing, and just an all around great pedicurist. She got my feet cruise-ready in just about an hour and I felt wonderful upon leaving. Logistics: Appts not required...credit cards accepted (tips are cash only)...parking abundant. Bottom line: I don't make it out for pedicures as much as I used to pre-kids (they are a rare treat these days) but I can say with certainty that I will be coming back to Fusion and will recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for a classy, comfortable salon experience.
