After passing inspection, they stole breaker panel from our garage. Find another solar company!

Review Update: After…read moremy initial review, Eric (the sales rep) and Matt (the owner) of Sunline personally reached out to me and was apologetic about the situation. They sent Travis out promptly, who is their electrician where he found that the issue was resolved by replacing a faulty 40-amp breaker that was intermittently providing the necessary voltage, even though measurements initially appear correct. While the breaker issue caused real inconvenience and unexpected costs on my end, the owner was responsive and showed willingness to smooth things over to work toward a resolution. I also want to highlight that the panel upgrade and solar/battery installation itself was clean and well done. The workmanship that Eddie, Manny, Christian and Jamie performed had overall met my expectations, and once the issue was identified, Sunline did step in to correct it. No project is perfect, but how a company responds when problems arise matters a lot. In this case, Sunline's owner and Eric was engaged, responsive, and made a sincere effort to make things right. As an engineer, and after witnessing the symptoms and corrective actions firsthand, I believe the breaker issue was likely a manufacturing defect, and it was unfortunate that it occurred during the holidays. That said, based on how Sunline handled the situation, the overall quality of their work, and the value they offer, I would recommend them and plan to continue using them for future needs.

No call no show. Contacted him to ask what happened, stated the appointment never went to Carlos, he's sorry. I said okay things happen, what next? Matt stated he has satellite pictures of the house and would send over some estimates......a week later we're still waiting. Decided to go with another company. ps, Nice try. Since you failed to post the follow up email you wrote after I sent that, I'll do it for you...

From my initial call to being connected with a home energy consultant, the team at Baker Home Energy was helpful, responsive, and professional. The process was smooth right from the beginning. Once I connected with my consultant, Cameron, things truly became spectacular. I had multiple questions and requested several different quotes to explore my options, and Cameron handled everything with patience, clarity, and speed. Every question was answered thoroughly, and each quote was provided promptly without hesitation. Although I didn't move forward with signing a contract due to timing on my end, the experience left a strong impression. When the time is right, I fully intend to work with Baker Home Energy because I know they'll be ready to do business. -C.S.H II

I had a 21-panel solar system installed by Baker Electric in March 2015 using LG280S1C-B3 panels…read more In February 2025, I received an Enphase notification that one panel had stopped producing power. I contacted Baker Electric expecting a straightforward warranty process since I was advised the panel was still under warranty. Instead, I was told the original panel model was no longer available and that I would be responsible for paying the cost difference for a newer replacement panel. I was also advised Baker Electric would charge approximately $1,600 just to come out and diagnose the failed panel. Then, after the replacement panel arrived, I was told there would be another approximately $1,600 charge to return and install the replacement panel into the existing array. So, from my understanding, even with a warranted failed panel, the total out-of-pocket cost to the customer could still be around $3,200+. I understand warranties can have limitations, especially regarding labor versus equipment, but this experience was surprising and not at all what I expected after investing in a professionally installed solar system from a well-known company. I'm posting this so other customers understand what they may encounter years later if a panel fails outside of any labor coverage window. I would strongly encourage anyone considering solar installation to carefully review all workmanship, diagnostic, service-call, and replacement labor terms before signing a contract.

We now know why - they are a top-notch, well run family business, and really know how to take care of a customer. Five stars easily. Their work included several areas: 1) Roofing the new addition; 2) Removing/replacing tiles in the areas where the new addtion roof would tie in to the existing roof; 3) Fixing numerous issues w/tile around our solar panels on our roof - issues courtesy of Tesla Solar personnel who clearly had zero training in the tile work required for messing w/people's roofs; and 4) Fixing some of our roof valleys that were getting congested w/leaves and pine needles from our trees. They provided a clear and complete estimate, and their pricing was just under the other roofing companies we talked to. Based on my brother's recommendation and their estimate we decided to move forward w/Knitter. Throughout the project they operated in a professional and friendly manner. They showed up on time, did excellent work, coordinated their work w/other activities on the project, and their crew was conscientous and personable. One of the challenging issues was that the tile we have is a particularly "rare" tile design and finding something that matched with it wasn't easy. Mike Knitter and Javier went out of their way to get us additional samples and options, and we ended up getting an excellent match that blended well w/our original tiles. They also helped us by placing the newer tiles in an areas of the roof that were less visible from the common areas of the back yard. We also had two solatubes installed. Knitter's team discovered issues w/the way in which the Solatubes had been integrated w/the roof tiles that could have caused problems, and adjusted the installation. Knitter also provided information and pictures of the errors and broken tiles that the Tesla Solar installers had left behind in their work, and corrected those issues as a part of their work. From start to finish just an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
