Stopped in for lunch and my wife got 2 sushi rolls that we shared. One was shrimp tempura and unsure of what the other was. Neither one was very good. Unsure if the flavors were off or the texture but have had way better. I order the teriyaki chicken lunch and the rice was the best part chicken was good but was dry. The soup and salad were the best part of the meal would even consider going back just for those. The service was excellent quick to refill drinks and very attentive. Located in the Granville area of Morgantown, this large restaurant provides a large menu and very good service. There is a full bar. Most dinners come with miso soup and salad. We ordered sushi, vegetable Tempura, Udon dish and Pad Thai. All were very good, and were large portions. We took half as carry out. We were a party of seven. Stopped here are researching some places within an hour of travel. Luckily I made a "reservation" a few hours ahead of time. It just gives you first chance upon arrival. This place seems like it is packed all the time. We did have the advantage and were seated very quickly on the hibachi side. Personally, I struggle with hibachi because I'm socially awkward and hate when they try to make you squirt Saki all over you. And I never finish my food because I'm always munching while they finish cooking the chicken. I thought all our meal was great but we did order a roll that took the whole time to get, it was a dessert roll by the time it came. I appreciate the music and speakers for the hibachi chefs. Stopped here recently for a little dinner and spewage, and as someone who used to really hit hibachis hard, it was my first in a year or two. The location is in a newer plaza and area in Morgantown which also is nearby other food places and options. It was very busy but we had reservations and the other 20 people waiting were behind us. The spot is broken up into two areas: hibachi (where there is the show and cooks in front of you) and a sit down area for just regular table service dining. Also there is a large bar area and sushi bar which have TVs and flashy lights and up tempo feel. Went with the chicken and shrimp meal, and ordered a roll. Problem was the roll didn't come out until near the end of the dining experience which really sucked- so we had to wait and then almost didn't want it. The hot pot beef has almost no flavor, the chicken teriyaki is overly sweet, and the Thai curry only tastes like cinnamon and has no actual heat whatsoever. I went there with someone each time and they picked the general shows and the chicken teriyaki which are really safe things for Americanized Asian food and they were fine. Additionally this sushi was really good quality and was really enjoyable. Each time I was there I had a drink The drinks were sweet but balanced and they're overall good. My honest unmiased opinion is that every dish on this menu that is not sushi needs to be completely redone aside from the Americanized staples. Ate here last night, my daughter has been and she had raved about it. Made a reservation, which just means you have priority over walk ins, but we still waited about 35 minutes to be seated at the hibachi. The chef was great, the food was delicious. Fusion Japanese Steakhouse does have delicious food, and, the food servers and manager are hospitable as well. However, the prices were a bit steep for several reasons. I ordered the Fusion Vegetable Plate and according to the menu, it comes with a soup and a green house salad. It does not specify which soup, and I asked for the bean curd soup. I asked if it was okay to substitute the green house salad with the cucumber salad, and that was okay. I thought they may charge just a little more. Instead, they charged FULL price for both the soup AND the cucumber salad. You would think that if it is going to cost extra, the server would inform the customer before the order is placed, not when they see it on the receipt. But wait, didn't the menu specifically state that the entrée came with a soup AND a salad? I'm not sure if I'll ever go back there. The food was great if you don't mind spending $25 for a vegan plate, and two to three times more for a steak or shrimp entrée. If I do happen to go back, it will be just for a soup and/or a salad only. No entrée. The soup happened to be filling all by itself. I will add that they are sensitive to food allergies, for which I have many. I usually go the the fusion in Washington but they built this one and I was in town so we went. We did the hibachi as a very large group. We had a reservation and we called ahead but the group still had to wait about 30 minutes. We ordered the food and drinks and they did a show while the food cooked. It was entertaining as always and it's always good to see the good being cooked right in front of you. I had shrimp and scallops with noodles and the crazy roll. It was way more than enough food to feed me. I ended up taking most of it home and eating it the next day. I would suggest going here and just trying out the hibachi and the regular dining as well. I'm so serious, I meal prep, I can eye ball a cup of rice and I barely had that on my plate. Then the veggies my favorite part!! He divided that up terrible as well! I was like come on man. I honestly think this place is mostly over-rated but not bad. Your typical hibachi restaurant, but with all the glitz and glam of a newer modern indoor decor. Play lots of fun music and lights during hibachi. The food is never bad, but it is just your standard hibachi. The sushi is pretty good as well. I personally like the food at another local hibachi place better, but Fusion definitely has a nicer indoor environment and ambiance. Can definitely get crowded especially on weekends so get your reservations in! Wanted to try something new since were brand new to the area and Fusion did not disappoint. Not only was the service incredible it was super fast. I didn't wait for drinks or food. It was spot on. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and wow our chef was not over the top but just awesome (just what we wanted ) and let him have lots of sake! Our one year old was with us and she loved how personal our Chef was with her. Made sure she had food and gave her a little extra to try. Fusion has become my husband's and my go to restaurant. We are basically here once a month, to the point where the chefs are starting to recognize us and ask how we are doing. This adds a personal touch to our dining experience when one would ask how we are or comment on not seeing us for a while. It shows they are paying attention to their customers rather than just simply doing a job. The atmosphere is great, I love the feel i get when I walk into the establishment, it almost feel like being at home since we're here a lot. I tend to get the Hawaiian roll sushi which is by far some of the best sushi I have gotten anywhere. I am gluten free and the staff there as recommended some alternatives such as rice noodles as opposed to the lo mein which feels great knowing I have more options than just rice every time we go. The food is always great, the staff always friendly. With the restrictions with COVID-19 they have done a great job trying to provide the same level of customer service and food quality while keeping everyone safe. read more

Please DO NOT waste your time with this cheap imitation. Fusion Japanese Steakhouse looks the part as far as modern hibachi style dining, but falls extremely short when it comes to overall service and food quality. From the tacky EDM style music, to the non-personable, uncharismatic, and sometimes rude chef(s) [Goku for example, who definitely does not deserve the title, didn't appreciate a single DBZ reference, was carelessly spraying sake all over members of my party with no concern, and was deliberately making fun of the quality noodles he was about to cook, kept calling it "spaghetti" and it was not very funny, it is Lo Mein] With a large party reservation (10+) you would imagine that the staff would accommodate in every way possible to ensure the best dining / entertainment experience. This was not the case. We ordered quite a few rounds of Sake Bombs (delicious when properly administered) and we had to pour the sake into the shot glasses ourselves, which is definitely not procedure. On the topic of shot glasses, we were given an overly complicated set up. The shot glasses were too heavy to complete a solid Sake Bomb. The overly large nature of the shot glasses splashed more than half of the (lightly poured) Sapporo out of the glass and onto the table. Quite messy and the the cheap 1-ply paper napkins did not do a satisfactory job of cleaning up this debacle. The food was less than satisfactory. The house salads were doused in lousy tasting dressing The soup was very salty, barely warm enough to enjoy. The main course was the biggest disappointment. The chef could not remember (or know how to) properly cook red meat to the customers needs. Every one of us who ordered filets received the same degree of doneness when there clearly multiple specificities. To top the cake, or the lack there of, the waiter (Matt) completely forgot to send a birthday celebration to the birthday man, who I evidently pointed out immediately upon our arrival. I also mentioned to the hostess over the phone hours prior to our reservation that we had a birthday in our party. This was overall the worst hibachi experience that I have ever had. I am embarrassed to have brought such high ticket party to this establishment. Definitely undeserving of the praise it has received in its debut in Morgantown. I know where my loyalties lie when it comes to hibachi style dining and I am ashamed that I faltered in choosing Fusion Japanese Steakhouse for such a special occasion.
