I will start this off by saying that they have been hit or miss recently, but our experience last night was pretty good, so they are back on our go-to list. We did the pu-pu platter for two, subbed more chicken wings for the fried shrimp. The wings were amazing and very fresh. The chicken fingers great; the boneless spare ribs very tasty. We had zero complaints We decided to try the house special fried rice: shrimp, chicken, ham. I wouldn't call it fried rice as it lacked any of that flavor and was just all around bland. Just not for us. Lastly, we did the mama dumplings and although tasty and very full, we like the Peking raviolis a bit more here.

We love the remodel changed they made. I'd be giving them 5 stars if takeout was as good as eating in. We find if we go earlier, before the Friday and Saturday rush, that their food is consistently outstanding. If we go later hit or miss, especially with salty issues. Service is always spot on. We'll continue to go because the items we've come to love are consistent. As for takeout, the apps always taste as if they were from the night before, especially the wings and ribs.

This spot has been a regular lunch time visit because the taste and value is unbeatable. The Chinese takeout is super nostalgic as my parents used to own a takeout place as well. The thing to know is that a restaurant like this will always take care of you and treat you right! read more

I've been here with family multiple times and so far they have always been very good. We had a large party of 18 last night. They sat us in the back which was perfect. Started by sharing an old school scorpion bowl for 2 with the shot in the center. Woo! I ate the chicken lettuce wraps. They give you 4 and they are already assembled which I liked. Next time I will ask for extra hoisin. The Vegetables Vegetable is Broccoli,carrots,baby corn and zucchini simply sautéed in a Brown sauce. The veggies were crisp and delicious and went well with the house special fried rice. Light in color with peas carrots and sprouts, shrimp ham and chicken. Other people got some Sushi which looked good. But I didn't have any. Wendy our server was wonderful. We like coming here because they can always accommodate our large family. The food was quite good. We appreciated that the vegetables were cooked so they were still crunchy and not mushy. Our server was hustling and working super hard serving what seemed to be half the restaurant. With that said, in order to order, get the check, etc. we did have to flag her down rather than her checking in. We were disappointed because half of our entrees came out about 20 minutes before the rest of them which made it hard to enjoy dinner all together. The restaurant is very nice but also quite loud. Quality has gone down. I go now v infrequently. General Gao's way overcooked and undersauced. Dumplings are about the only thing I get that are edible. Not a fan of their hot & sour soup. Also tried their new place in Methuen. Threw it out. Will not be ordering here again. Their bar seems to do well. read more

Got take out on a Sunday just after they opened. The order was ready within 20 minutes. The chicken pad thai was pretty much just noodles, the chicken was very scant and the noodles, although cooked well, were bland. The veggie udon also lacked flavor and veggies. There were 2 tiny pieces of broccoli and half dozen pea pods. That's it for the veggies, the dish was pretty much only noodles. Each was $12.50. Also a nit, but they forgot to include chop sticks even though I requested them when I arrived to pick the food up. read more

I was a part of a party of 7. The service was not good. The waitress was not attentive or friendly. The meal came out piece meal. The last served waited 10 minutes while others were eating. No water refills. Only one small bowl of sweet sauce for the whole table. The food was mostly ok. Some were only room temperature. This is my third time here. I probably won't come back. read more

Sorry to say my family recently dined here but we all ended up with food poisoning. Most likely from the meat in our dish not being cooked properly. We were suspect that this was the case upon first tasting the dish but felt they knew what they were doing. In the end wish we had spoken up and requested the meat be cooked more thoroughly. The taste was disappointing. I used to enjoy chou fun and mapa topu, but today's experience fell short. The noodles in the chou fun were clumped together, seeming to be old, and lacked sauce. The mapa topu had a very dark, almost black color and an overly salty taste. Overall, it was a waste of money. read more

I have only ordered for delivery from this place, and with the exception of one time, they have been great. The sushi tastes fresh and delicious. They usually put the wasabi on the side as I request because I'm allergic to it, and my husband isn't. Their sesame chicken bento box is good. They don't coat the chicken in the sauce too much, and the batter is not too thick on the chicken. They also deliver on time, and most of the time, the entire order arrives. If they make a mistake, they will honor credit for the next time you order. read more

took my wife, mother-in-law and kids there for dinner on Mother's Day. Upon walking in the door we were created by a big smile and a warm "Happy Mother's day, by Jason, one of the owners. We were seated right away, and the waiter (Adam) was immediately friendly and attentive, wishing both ladies a happy mother's day, while bringing waters and taking our drink order. We decided to try the oysters, so we ordered up a dozen, along with a bunch of sushi and some rice. The oysters were sweet, fresh, and not one bit "fishy." The sushi was clearly made of fresh ingredients and was as tasty as it was well presented. The rest of the food was hot, fresh and timely. The drinks ordered were made just right, not too strong, not too weak, balancing the components.
