My experience working with Fusion Windows to replace four windows with new Milgard tempered ones was excellent. From the moment I reached out to them, Gary provided consistent, professional communication about the estimate, ordering the windows, and any delivery changes. While Milgard had some issues with delivering the windows on the originally scheduled date, this was no fault of Fusion and Gary kept me promptly informed of the changes. The workmanship by Alex and the installation crew was top-notch. The installers were very respectful and took care to seal off the areas where they'd be working to minimize dust and debris from spreading throughout the rooms. Marvin Ultimate gliding door with stained interior. Ordering the door was a dream. Very nice showroom. Donna knows her stuff, is extremely helpful, and gave me a great price. I would give her a big 5 stars for the purchasing process. Fusion installed the door for an extra $1,700. The door is plumb and square and decently aligned with the opening for interior/exterior trim, but there were installation issues that soured my experience. Fusion said they would, but never ended up exact measuring the rough opening, so the galvanized sill pan fits the door but has gaps on either side at the rough opening with peel-and-stick membrane draped over the gaps into the pan. With the intent of reinforcing the rough opening framing, an installer carelessly over-drove screws with an impact driver and split out a section of the single king stud next to the header, compromising the stud. I hated to see this, as there was no rush and a little care and skill could have avoided this. I should have told them to leave the opening alone. An installer completely severed a 1x6 subfloor board with a multitool plunge cut instead of just trimming the 1/2" plywood sheathing above it to fit the sill pan. I had to stop the guy myself when I noticed what he was doing. I now need to go under the house and cross-brace this to avoid a soft spot. The tech info and instruction sheets for the peel-and-stick flashing they used say it must be rolled with a hand roller. The installer didn't know it needed rolling and didn't have a roller. Luckily I had one. Marvin instructions, which I read later, say to caulk behind the installation fin and, in the front, apply membrane lapped onto the door frame. Instead, the installer gobbed tubes of caulk onto front of the fin. There was enough caulk to fill a generation gap. I had to ask them to flatten the caulk so the door casing could be fitted flat later. I had to place peel-and-stick flashing per Marvin's instructions on top of the fin myself--I assume there are warranty reasons for this step. It was not easy with caulk covering the fin. At the top of the door, the installer placed membrane crookedly on top of thick bed of uncured (wet) caulk; the membrane's technical info sheet says do not apply it to uncured caulk--oh well. I'd always heard caulk is a secondary precaution after sound flashing technique. Look up why you don't put peel-and-stick over uncured caulk. An installer put the stained wood moving door panel on the wrong track and, instead of just repositioning it, pounded it into place with the heel of his hand. The panel became frozen in place and a good-sized section of stained wood at the top of the door was gouged down to bare wood. After freeing the door, the lead guy took it upon himself to color the gouge with a dark stain pen. Fortunately, Marvin is replacing the part. Finally, there is a dent in the extruded aluminum frame, which could have happened in shipping, I don't know. Without me asking, Fusion knocked $500 off the total cost for the damage to the door (gouge and dent), although I would have happily paid another grand or more to have no headaches or worries. read more

Fusion Windows & Doors - "My new BEAUTIFUL windows from Fusion Windows & Doors" - Windows Installation Near Me - Burbank, California

In 2014 I replaced quite a few wood windows and wood sliding doors that had seen better days, with brand new windows and sliding doors. Sevan at Fusion Windows helped me at the time. He patiently walked me through my options. I didn't opt for the super expensive windows. The Milgard vinyl windows and doors I ended up getting were budget friendly. Sevan and his team installed them in 2014. Afterwards I remember how the Milgard windows and doors kept the cold out much better than my old wood single pane wood windows did in the winter. And they kept the heat out much better in the summer. Fast forward from 2014 to 2023, and to my surprise, some of those 9 year old Milgard windows acquired a grainy hazy discoloration, likely between their double panes. So I contacted Sevan, who was still at Fusion Windows, to ask him what my options were. He had me take some pictures of the problematic windows, and send the pictures to him. I learned pretty quickly that he needed me to email the pictures since the image quality by text was too low. :) A few days later Sevan told me to expect a call from Milgard in a day or two. I asked if he knew what they'd charge to repair or replace my 9 year old windows. He said nothing because it's under warranty. I was floored by that news! A few days later a representative from Milgard called to tell me when they'd come out to take care of the problems. Which was about two weeks later. Sure enough, at the appointed date some two weeks later, a Milgard technician knocks in my front door, goes to each of the problematic windows, removes them from my home and brings them out to his truck parked outside and there, he removes the grain hazy discolored double pane glass in each window, and inserts some just-like-new clear double pane glass. Then he brings the repaired windows back inside my home and re-installs each repaired window. And viola, I have just-like-new crystal clear repaired double pane glass in my windows. The only thing better than having a product with a warranty that is honored is having a product that never breaks and therefore never needs a warranty ever. But until the day arrives that products never break, I think having a warranty that is honored after (in my case) 9 years, is probably about as good as it gets. I've had my share of product warranties that sounded truly wonderful up until the second the product broke. And then the warranty wasn't quite as good as it appeared to be. The Milgard warranty I got however, to my pleasant surprise, is apparently the real deal. I want to give a big shout out to Sevan G. at Fusion Windows who took care of the initial installation 9 years ago and then, 9 years later, did an excellent job of processing the Milgard warranty. And I want to give another shout out to the Milgard technician who came to my home, whose name I never knew. He magically transformed my grainy hazy discolored double window panes, into like-new crystal clear double window panes. read more

On September 10, 2022, a payment was made to Fusion Windows to purchase eighteen Milgard windows for a grand total of $15,195.30. Fusion Windows scheduled the early delivery of the windows to our home before installation since they stated that they did not have the extra storage room in their warehouse. On January 13th, 2023, Fusion Windows sent out technicians to install the Milgard Windows in our home. All the windows were properly installed except for the kitchen area. As our kitchen windows had an awning overhang, the Fusion Windows technicians assumed they would not have to place a sealant directly over the top of the windows. Due to this negligence, the top of the window was exposed to water entry. During the month of February in 2024, the city of Los Angeles and neighboring Glendale received an extremely heavy amount of rainfall (12.7 inches of precipitation). In fact, it was recorded as the 4th wettest month recorded since 1878. As a result of this rainfall, an excess of rain water fell behind the gap of the overhang above the kitchen window. This rainfall then collected on top of the kitchen window and seeped into the drywall and wooden beams of the home. So much rain was collecting through the top of the window that it started to leak between the bottom wooden frame of the kitchen cabinets and floor by the window. As owners of our home, we were extremely concerned and took immediate action to identify the cause of the leak as well as make any necessary repairs. After a series of plumbers and contractors came to inspect our home, it was deduced by a home contractor that the cause of the water damage was based on the lack of sealant on top of the kitchen windows (the contractor recorded a video as proof that no sealant was placed on top of the kitchen windows). Because the water had leaked through our home, this had also caused mold damage to the drywall (which was only one year old since it was a recently remodeled kitchen). Due to the urgency of this issue, our contractor expediently removed portions of the outside wall underneath the window to address the mold issue as well as apply sealant to the top of the kitchen window. In addition, a mold removal report was conducted. In the report, it was confirmed that the cause of the mold was due to the lack of sealant applied to the top of the kitchen windows. Subsequent to the sealant applied to top of our kitchen window, we made several checks beneath the raised foundation of our house after several occurrences of rainfall. Based on these inspections, there was no further indication of dampness or leakage from the window beneath the raised foundation. Furthermore, an independent roofer came by our home to check for leaks from the top of our home. He stated that there were no leaks present from the top of the home, which eliminated the possibility of water coming from the roof above the window. During the interim of time that our contractor was repairing the issue related to our kitchen window, several calls were made to Fusion Windows. In response, Fusion Windows sent out several technicians to assess the damage caused by the lack of sealant applied to the top of the window. Fusion Windows then admitted to not placing sealant on top of the kitchen window, but also claimed that this error was not the reason for the water leaking behind the kitchen wall. They continued to refuse responsibility yet also made allusions to offering a concession payment to help with the massive bills that were incurred due to the home damage repairs. Since the last phone call made on March 13th with representative Ruben, Fusion Windows and their managers have offered no concession payments. In conclusion, I give fusion two stars because other than this act of negligence on our kitchen window, all of the other windows were installed properly. However, I am extremely disheartened and disappointed by the refusal of responsibility and admission of oversight made by fusion windows. To me, this is a matter of principle and integrity. If you make a mistake, then admit to it and redress for your errors. If a business continues to place the blame elsewhere for one's wrongdoing, then they will act in the same manner with other customers in the future. read more

The salesman who I ordered from was awesome in the beginning but when things started to go wrong he was missing in action. He never responded to calls or messages. I ordered almost $80,000 worth of windows for my house and 1 window was missing. It has now taken over 2 months to get another window to me. I still don't have it by the way.
