I have been coming here for years, and usually have great service. But twice now I have gotten awful rushed pedicures from the male nail tech who always wears a baseball hat. The ladies are all fantastic, but please avoid him! My nails were uneven, paint on my toe skin, and lots of callus left. When I asked him to fix these issues he barely did, and then even wiped the sharp tool with crud on it off on the top of my foot causing a mark & pain. Seriously the worst pedicure ever. But the woman Lee is amazing & so are her female co workers. So hence give the male nail tech a zero, but the establishment as a whole a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I was very disappointed in this place. First of all I called in made an appointment and then we did an hour to be seen which I did not have the time for but I stayed anyways. Next, my nails were messed up, they are completely different sizes and she did not bother to make sure they were the same sizes. They are noticeably uneven and I told her multiple times that they were and still no fix. The paint is splotchy on my nails and the design looks very rushed. is is a french tip with purple which is a very simple design it looks good it's done right, which mine don't.There is also an overpour of acrylic on my thumbs which now that the nails are growing out looks strange. I've given this salon two tries because I was unhappy the first time but thought it might have just been a busy day. The first time, the gentleman refused to give me what I wanted - dip powered on all 10 fingers - he had offered acrylic because it would look better on the design (2 fingers) and I said no (I've had those designs with dip powered base before). Well he went ahead and put acrylic after I said no twice - when I asked why he was putting acrylic on my nails he said it wasn't acrylic, that it was powder but that he put it on differently (like acrylic). I felt so disrespected that he would lie to my face. The second time, the lady that took care of me was nicer but she still didn't do what I asked. I asked for matching mani and pedi, and she said she had it - but at the end it was two total different tones. I was also charged extra and she said it was because she did my cuticles - which 1. She didn't ask if I wanted the additional service, 2. She didn't use cuticle cream, 3. She cut me and didn't actually cut them all the same. I did pay extra for a small design, however, it was clean (very simple line design on one nail) and it didn't match the other hand. Overall, not a very clean salon given the prices they charge and the pandemic we are in. If they had at least done what I asked and paid for, maybe I would give them a third change but not again! read more

Pros: the mani/pedi I received was awesome! In addition to that, my eye brows are looking good. Cons: I don't like that you can't make an appointment. Way to many kids running around and not enough employees telling the parent's to control their kids, I felt like I was in an out of control daycare, which is funny because we run a home daycare. Went to get my nails done for Valentine's Day. I haven't had my nails done in years. I always go here they do a good job. I decided to get my fill ins regularly. The third time I went for a fill in my nails had grown and the nails where very long. I have coffin nails and wanted them cut down shorter. The guy says no it's better like that long. So I said ok fine. A couple of days later after getting them done my nail broke all the way to my skin and left me bleeding. I can't stress it enough. If the customer says I want them shorter then do them shorter I am paying for it anyways. He filled them very thin so my nail broke off like a sticker. This is one of my biggest fears come true. Not ever again. Will not go back and I'm done getting my nails done any more. read more

They were super rough, and cut me TWICE. I'm anemic and wouldn't stop bleeding, there was a napkin of blood next to me that the guy and lady had to continuously wipe through out the "service". An old lady (the one who cut me) started doing my nails first and she was terrible at it. Layering globs of nail polish that was old and gross even with the thinner she poured in. Then she switched with a guy half way through who was going crazy fast and not really caring what he was doing. I felt like he just wanted me out even though there were like 2 other customers there. I shouldn't have tipped them in hide sight but I did, and generously, out of habit. Completely regret it. I will never go there again. read more

The only reason I won't give five stars is because whenever you do ask them about something they answer you a short answer, then say something in their language to another worker and laugh. I went with my family to do our nails on May 5, 2021, 4 pedi, 2 mani, 1 full set and 1 top on (acrylic on top of natural nail) I though everything was good after we all finish, cute nails and feet. Not even a week later one of my nails is falling, Ok I just glue it back not big deal, but after days go by I have 3 nails with glue. 2 weeks and some days later I got all my nails off!! I have been doing my eyebrows, mani and pedi for 10 years and it has just gotten worse! went towards the end of July of 2021 they don't want to do what's requested as I wanted specific colors on my nails, nails weren't done correctly! they were uneven, and I was bleeding from one of my nail!!! I went and really wanted to be happy but I came with a design and asked if the technician could do it and he said yes... but reader, he could not do it. The result was comical and he still charged me $75. I went back the next day to have them fixed and the lady literally laughed at the design and showed the lady next to her who said "oh my god!" and yet, she charged me another $40. Long review...be warned! I came in here for the first time last Thursday evening because it was on my way home. I had a no-chip mani with a regular pedicure. I called at 6:30 to ask if I could come in for those services since their hours said they closed at 7:30. They actually close at 7 everyday but the lady who answered said yes as long as I got there before 7. Was at their door at 6:45 and was sat at the pedicure chair right away. I picked my no chip color first then she matched my toe polish for me. Well everything was going great until she started giving me my mani while I was getting my pedi by someone else. I didn't feel like either technician took care of my hands or feet. Don't take in clients before closing if you're going to rush through them!!! The technician who did my feet ended up doing my no chip but there was trouble with the polish that wouldn't dry..had to redo my hands. I paid $45 which is cheaper than I've paid before but I can see why... They said my toes were ready to go so I put on my shoes and when I got home there was a chunk of polish that came off from my right big toe. Then I noticed that the edges of my mani (along the cuticles) didn't have any top coat, so it looked as the top coat (shiny) was only along the center of my nails. I went in the following Monday (after calling the next day to tell them what was wrong) to get my hands and toe fixed. Well all would have been fine since they fixed my mani. But the technician fought me on my toe color. I knew I picked the right one but he ended up giving me a darker color on my toe than the rest of my feet. I regret leaving a great tip during my first visit. Easy to say I won't be back here and maybe you should go somewhere else too. read more

I really wanted to make this place my new go-to salon. But after today, it's just not going to happen. Let me start by saying that I came here almost a month ago to get a no-chip, and it came out perfectly. It lasted 3 weeks without chipping or lifting not one bit. Fast forward to last Thursday. I decided on a no-chip and a pedicure this time around. It looked great at first but after 2 days both my mani, and both of my big toes had chipped ( a lot). So I went in today, and I explained the situation. They fixed my nails and toes free of charge, no problem. While the woman was fixing my nails, I told her that I would like her to wax my eyebrows as well. And she said ok. Well, at the end of fixing my no-chip, she said that my eyebrows didn't need waxing. I replied to that they did need clean up and that one can't tell right away because I have makeup over it and I cleaned them up with makeup. She said "no they look clean, you don't need..." I became so frustrated, so I just replied, "Ok..." And walked out. I am a makeup artist (but I don't like to wax or pluck my own brows), my brows "looked clean" because I made them "look clean" with my makeup application techniques. Had she taken the time to listen to me, she would have seen that underneath, I was wolfing. I don't feel like I should have to beg you to do your job. I don't feel like you should tell me what I do and do not need when I know what I need and I even explained it to you as well. It's been 6 weeks since I've done my eyebrows; I know when I need MY eyebrows done. Towards the end of repairing my nails, she seemed more annoyed to be doing her job and like she wanted to get rid of me. Too bad for her, because I was planning on giving her a fat tip for taking the time to repair my nails until she brushed me off. Very good eyebrow waxing! Only $7, and it is very close to my cousins, so whenever I go over, we come here. Did my acrylics once here, and the employees are sweet and do a good job. The lady who painted my nails was nice at first, but gave a weird face after I hit my un-dried nail on the side of the drying table (hey, people make mistakes.) I don't think I deserved a rude look, but I guess she had a long, hard day? I'd come here again, but only if Linn or her sister provides the service, they are the only reason I come here. This is my favorite nail salon in the city, so lucky for me it's also the closest to my house! Everyone here is extremely friendly and professional and does a great job. They are always busy and only take walk ins, but I've never waited overly long. Lynn, the boss, is a powerhouse and always remembers my name. My mother always said the mark of a quality nail salon is that they paint the nail tips as well as the flat part; this is the only place I've been in Chicago that does that. read more

Very disappointed with this place. My daughter had never had a pedicure done so i figured I'd try this place. They did not bother to file my daughters toe nails they literally just painted her nails and sent her on her way. I had to go back home and trim her nails and shape them she came out of there so self conscious thinking they would make her toes look pretty. I recently went to Future Nails with a friend of mine. She always gets her nails done there so I went along with. I got a gel set, pedicure, and facial wax. Over all 61 was paid. Pricing is ok. HOWEVER, I went a week ago and my nails look horrible!!!! There coming off. They usually last 2-3 weeks. This is upsetting. Pedicure was lovely, but they did it too fast. Customer service, is excellent. Very nice people. Its very clean as well. Maybe it was the guy who did my nails, there is many people working there so I would probably try with a different person.
