Today I was in the area and decided to come by to this particular location out of all the places in the area. Just to clarify this is by first time coming to this location. When I arrived I specifically asked for a "French no chip mani" lady asked me like 30 questions before proceeding to do the job and I was very clear explaining what I wanted. Through out the entire visit as soon as she started applying the color I had asked for she kept complaining that "the job seemed to be easy, but it is not". I totally understand the job wasn't easy and that is the reason why I pay for someone to do it for me. I pay from my pocket I don't expect for it to be FREE. She kept making mess herself and painting her own finger tips and she did once on the center of my nail. She kept complaining over and over again that the color was too messy and talking to her colleagues next to her in her language and I can almost guarantee that she was talking about my nails since the guy was too obvious staring at my nails. Please note that I had in mind that I was going to pay over $60 since I know this is what they normally charge in other places and I did not care about it as long as I received the service I wanted it and that I like and on top of that I normally leave a tip which is over the % they normally tip them. She did not do what I had asked for and only she only applied once coat on each finger. She made me put my right hand once because she kept messing up. When she "finished" she asked me "if I like" my mistake was saying yes since she already looked exhausted and upset and I didn't know that they only require cash tips. As soon as I told her that I was leaving tip on the card with the front person she immediately said "only cash" and I said to her I didn't have any cash and she immediately said "Zelle, you have it" I said yes to her and I proceeded sending her the tip I should her I had already send it to her and saw the amount which was $15 her face expression changed instantly not sure if she was ashamed of the actions and complaining throughout, but she even grab my hand as a form gratitude I am assuming. As I proceeded to pay the front desk immediately ask me for Zelle also and charged me $70 which I did not care because I know that was a "hard work". As I am in the car I checked them again and you can see the spots and the edges not fully covered. This is the very first time I come to a place where they only do I coat and specifically for a dark color (black) I am very dissatisfied and disappointed. Based on neighborhood recommendation, I made an appointment with Amy to get my first ever acrylic set and my first ever nail art. I was heading off on vacation and wanted to step up my normal routine. Amy was absolutely fantastic. I was torn between two different styles and was planning to leave it to her to pick which one she wanted to do, but she worked with me and blended the two styles into a design just for me. And when I couldn't decide what I wanted on my thumbs, she asked if she could do her own design and gave me a beautiful free hand that complimented the fingers. She chatted with me about weather and my upcoming vacation and didn't get annoyed or frustrated as I asked questions about the process. On vacation and at work I got many compliments on them and I am sad to see them go. But I will definitely be coming back for this process again. read more

Do not walk into this salon if you are looking for decent nails. The nail tech that did my nails asked for size and shape. I told him I liked shorter nails since I type a lot for my job. This guy took my nails down to the point that it looks like a baby bird beak. I called the owner who said to show him what the nails look like. I have passed by this place 100 times heading to Jewel. I kept saying I would stop by. They always seemed empty. I was a bit worried abt that because the location is large. At least 10 pedicure stations and abt 12 nail tech spots. It's also nicely arranged. Anyhoo, I finally got my gel coffins done there and a few things I liked. He quoted the price upfront. There was another lady who got the color I wanted and her nails were perfect. I chose another color this time and my gel set is perfect. Another thing I like, the tech was cool and friendly and was eager to do rainbow nails!! I almost got em becase his colors picks were better than mine. I went here for a fill in and the lady (I think it might be Amy) insisted that I get a full set because i "waited too long" to get a full in. She kept showing me the side of my nail as if to show my why a fill in wouldn't work but the nails were still very secure and I've gotten my nails done long enough to know that it absolutely could be done. Seemed like she just wanted to charge more for a full set. Well I decided to just get the full set because I didn't want to go back and forth and she began forcibly removing the nails, because like I already mentioned to her, they were still VERY securely attached. I told her multiple times that it hurt and she kept saying "almost done" I had to literally pull my hand back and say but it HURTS. Then she finally decides to use a drill to help remove them which she should've done in the first place. But also, if it takes this much work to remove the nails, then they obviously didn't need to be removed and should've been a fill in like I asked for in the first place. Anyway after ONE WEEK two nails have already broken off and it's probably because my nails were so weak from her forcing the acrylics off. I feel my review for Lee Nails is long overdue, especially in light of its dismal and (in my experience) undeserved 3 star rating. I've been coming here for about 4 years, and in all that time, I've had consistently excellent manicures and pedicures. I get acrylics, and am pretty obnoxiously particular about my nail-shape. I've gone from square to vampira stiletto, to coffin-shaped, and every time my nails have come out perfectly. I moved out of the neighborhood and live literally a 5 minute walk from a nail salon that consistently makes my cuticles bleed, my no-chip chips in a matter of days, and my coffin shape look more like a boring square. So, I make the trip whenever I can back to Lee and wonder why I ever go anyplace else. They are clean, friendly, and remember me no matter how long I stupidly stay away! Plus, their pedicure chairs are the raddest around. Go there, you won't regret it. read more

Newly opened spa and not any run of the mill kind of setup. When I saw the sign in the plaza, I expected to see a typical nail salon. Instead, it's decorated ceiling to floor. The ceiling was adorned in an intricate pattern or ceiling masonry, rather. The heating and cooling vents are situated all around so that the salon is properly ventilated, heated and cooled. There are accents in colors, types of tiling, flat panel televisions and a very large (wall) flowing water fountain that can be heard across the room. I would assume to give a sense of tranquility to your spa time. They offer multiple stations for nail care which are along either walls and over twelve spa massage chair stations. It's an uber nice setup which could easily handle a "GNO" spa day or large bridal party. So the other day my Ma was complaining about the weather and how her hands were looking dryer than usual. I felt for her and remembered reading a review which mentioned "in winter weather, a paraffin wax treatment will rejuvenate dry hands." Decided it was time for a spa day for Ma. Got her a spa pedicure ($28) and the paraffin wax treatment for hands ($8). I think she was in for about an hour plus. They offer a number of plush seating at the front of the spa which overlooks the span of the nail salon. I liked that there was a good amount of conversation between the staff member and my Ma. Another staff member made small talk with me while I waited and between staff and other customers it was casual. I mention this aspect because of how in some other salon situations; when dealing with workers constantly speaking in their own language, they forget about their customers and may talk about them or use awkward looks or obvious glances which can be off putting. None of that happened here, Ma had a great time and was happy with her spa day. She expects to see "Kim" again. Ma enlightened me that I will have to bring her back in the future for a spa day with her sister. Walk ins are welcome and there is plenty of free parking in the lot. Since they are a new salon their pricing is competitive with salons in the area. If bringing your little ones also, there is a discounted price. read more

Lee Nails is one of the better nail salons in the area. The techs are so kind and pretty quick. I've been going here for about 6 months and none of my nails have chipped or cracked. The no chip lasts 3+ weeks each time. The owner is super friendly and will probably remember your face after a couple of times. You can ask the tech to use different scent exfoliant, pedicure scrub, and lotion. Make sure you take them up on that offer. They have free water and wine if you so choose. I have been going here for a year and LOVE this place. Amy is super sweet and does a great job at lashes. I've always had Michael or Danny do my nails, both are wonderful and give great attention to detail, they both really listen. All in all its a relaxing atmosphere. It wouldve gotten 5 stars, but there was a worker there that didnt respect personal space. This place is huge guys, he had no customers, he kept bumping me with his foot, and having a conversation on the phone right next to me. Its hard finding a good nail tech, so ill be back.
