My second time here and I absolutely love their fluffy, souffle pancakes. The matcha tiramisu one is my favourite. The savoury ones fall flat in comparison but are still pretty darn good. Don't sleep on the lattes - so many different flavours to pick from.

If you're a fan of Japanese pancakes, Fuwa Fuwa is the place to go. As soon as you walk in, the strong smell of butter hits you, setting the stage for what's about to come. I tried the Signature Pancake, which came with fresh blueberries, banana, strawberries, and a generous dollop of whipped cream. The pancakes were incredibly fluffy, light, and not too sweet. The fresh fruit topping added a nice burst of freshness, complementing the pancakes without overpowering them. There's also a self-serve water station, which is a nice touch for staying refreshed while you enjoy your meal. Definitely a treat, as their pancakes are a bit pricey, but if you're after an authentic Japanese pancake experience, Fuwa Fuwa definitely delivers.

Unfortunately for Fuwa, Jello beat them to the Watch it Wiggle, See it Jiggle jingle because that would be the perfect way to market these pancakes. Just watch my video (or others) to see what I mean. Once you get past the novelty of these jiggly pancakes, you will find out that they are not like pancakes in the U.S. they are much more eggy tasting and are nowhere as sweet as I am used to in the U.S. So do not come here expecting pancakes and you will not be disappointed. Even the white chocolate or the syrup that come with the Fruit Forest are very sweet. So these were the perfect "pancakes" for my wife. If I come back, I will bring a bottle of Canadian maple syrup, and I will be very happy! As noted by others, they take a while to make so be patient. I also got the salted caramel latte, which is super sweet. Cathie got the sesame latte, which was very sesame forward and not very sweet, which again, was perfect for Cathie.

I came to Fuwa Fuwa not knowing what souffle pancakes were and after trying a taste of it, I had to go back another time. The interior is small, but there are enough seats for approximately 20 ppl. The interior was well lit and was cleaned. The pancakes were made quite fast. From ordering to the delivery of the pancakes took around 10 minutes. The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. My favorite so far was the creme brulee since it had ice cream which added another aspect to it. I also tried the tiramisu, the regular, and the matcha too. All were equally yummy. I wished i had more time in toronto to try the rest of the flavors.

I've been wanting to try Japanese pancakes for so long and im so happy these were my first. I ordered the Nutella banana pancakes and it took a little bit to be made but they were well worth the wait! The place also had really nice ambiance. I would 100% be a regular here if I lived in Toronto. As a breakfast food lover I appreciate how they are open all day long. Highly recommend!

This eatery is in the heart of The Annex. It was voted in the top 10 of places to eat and I understand why. This innocuous looking eatery houses the lightest and fluffiest pancakes you will find. The ladies make it fresh, including their cream that delicately finishes their Fuwa Fuwa Signature pancakes, which is what I ordered. It's shockingly very filling so I was so happy I had shared it with my husband. They also have an espresso machine and they can pull a fabulous latte. They also have cups and a water station should you want water. The service was wonderful as they take the tube to explain anything about their pancakes. It's a cozy place and the music is loud. It was hard to hear my husband as he sat opposite of me so we literally had to text each other as to how delicious the pancakes are. Definitely a must go to and try when in town.

A great spot for desserts. I've had the takeout version and prefer doing dine-in instead as it tastes much better when it's fresh and on a plate. Matcha Tiramisu: The pancakes are light and fluffy. Lots of matcha drizzle and mostly taste the matcha rather than tiramisu but was still delicious. Note that you have to pay at the front counter before you place a seat. It's a bit more on the casual side for service and tight in space, the seating will get filled up quickly. Overall, I had a great experience at this Fuwa Fuwa location!

Service was excellent, the workers were so friendly and welcoming. A little let down by the pancakes though. It just tasted like regular pancakes dowsed in cream. Tasted good but nothing special.

Honestly the best soufflé pancakes I have ever had. We got the tiramisu pancake and the matcha red bean pancake. They were made to order so it did take some time to get the food. But it was 100% worth it! They were so fluffy, warm, and just perfect!! I would recommend this to everyone! I went right when they opened so I did not have to wait for seating. I can see it getting busy because the inside was a bit small.

We've wanted to try soufflé pancakes since they went viral, and we were so excited to try them at Fuwa Fuwa! The shop was so cute. There were so many options for pancakes and drinks, and we really want to go back and try more. We got the tiramisu pancakes to split, and they truly are as good as they look-- impossibly fluffy and a perfect tiramisu flavor. This is a must try! -@cophiescrumbs on insta

Extremely small location. You order at the cashier, serve yourself water and get your own utensils. There's basically no table service. I went in on a weekend late in the afternoon. The cashier was kind. Our food took a bit of while to come out. I ordered the matcha white chocolate pancakes. They were extremely soft and airy. The matcha sauce was okay, the white chocolate was also okay. My boyfriend got the tiramisu pancakes. The tiramisu pancakes have a very strong coffee taste. Both pancakes have a strong eggy flavour to them. For drinks, he got the matcha espresso and I got the mango latte. The mango latte was okay- but it's basically just mango jam with milk. The total came out to around $50. I left feeling okay, not full but alright.

We came half an hr before closing so they were only able to provide our order as take-out which was understandable. But I do think it impacted how the pancakes tasted and our experience overall. Taste-wise it was a lil too eggy for our liking.

It is a lovely evening to visit a cute spot for Japanese pancakes- Fuwa Fuwa Japanese Pancakes. We are ordering the Strawberry Delight pancakes, coffee americano, and refreshing lemon ice. The servers were so helpful and friendly. The place is clean and welcoming.

No one can say no to fluffy pancakes. I think the pancakes are generally good but need to be shared with at least one more person.

The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Where the experience finds room to grow is in the choreography of the space itself. The room is petite, charming in its cobalt blue framed way, but the flow between ordering and pickup can feel cramped during a rush, and seating fills quickly. The patio, however, is a genuine reward, a shaded perch worth claiming on a slow afternoon. This is a cafe operating with real ambition and skill, let down only occasionally by its own popularity. Arrive early, claim a croissant while you still can, and settle onto the patio; you'll leave understanding exactly why regulars keep coming back.

The line moved quick, even though it wrapped around, we waited for about 20 minutes only. The menu has some cool items, a few fusion dishes and trendy items. Awesome presentation and definitely Instagram worthy. I got the huevos rancheros, it was more like an egg burrito with beans, sauce and potatoes on top. The potatoes were probably my favourite out of everything. It was good but not the traditional you would expect. My friends sadly did not like their eggs benedict. The coffee was also average, not very strong or fragrant. Service was absolutely terrible. Our sever took so long to come, we see him just chatting in the corner. It was hard to flag him down for anything. It was not a nice experience. The menu does have some other cool items I do want to try (pancakes and french toast)... so maybe I will give it another shot if I am in the area one day.

Very friendly service (server was Crystal). Sat outside and still was attended to attentively - typically worried that patio seating gets less attention but that wasn't the case here. The menu excited me as brunch usually is a choice between sweet or savoury, but they have various options with both. Got the Indecisive with the eggs poached medium ( would recommend soft for future or sunny side up). The pistachio latte was yummy but with the matcha pancakes it became too sugary of a meal. Overall a casual yet put together vibe. Great for friends, dates, solo, or family. Washrooms not the cleanest, but the dining area was good. Did notice a few more birds than typical patios (tried to eat our scraps as we were waiting for the bill).
