A neighborhood coffee favorite! They have the basics down and they know what they are doing with coffee! The space is bright and inviting, the staff is friendly and welcoming, the drinks are solid and delicious. What's not to love about this coffee shop? Also! Their tiramisu pastry is so tasty!

I was excited for another cute cafe in north park but I am not a coffee connoisseur and a simple menu is not the best for me. I love my sweet lattes and they had some basic vanilla and honey cinnamon. The staff was really nice and let me make one of their specials that was a cappuccino into a latte but I didn't taste any flavors, only milk. The seating is really nice outside and inside to chill there with friends, parking is the usual north park struggle but on a nice funny day I would take a walk here and be happy with no line.

Lots of great coffee shops in the area. I've had this one on my radar for some time now but it was always a bit too busy for my comfort. Finally I was in the area around their opening, actually we were the first customers in on a Saturday. We ordered a iced matcha latte and a iced Blue by You which is a chamomile latte that ends up with a vibrant blue color due to the butterfly pea flower. Both drinks tasted amazing. I've never had a chamomile latte and I gotta say it's a new favorite. They have lots of merch like coffee, mugs, shirts and or course vinyl records. Definetly can tell this cafe is run by a true coffee lover.

The crumbling castle cappuccino is absolutely AMAZING. I don't even drink coffee normally but decided to try because of a friend and omg I'm so glad I did. Definitely will be coming back to get as much as I can before it leaves. Small amount of seating indoor and out. Small selection of records to browse and purchase which is cool. Instant bonus points because I walked in and they had darkwave playing. Street parking only and not many spots directly around. Super friendly staff.

Latte and spinach pastry - Feb 2026
    Candace C.

Cool space and shop, coffee was delicious. I got a spinach pastry and it was fine but in retrospect would've been tastier if I was asked if I wanted it to be warmed up (I would've loved that) but not sure they have the ability to do that. Indoor and outdoor seating and records to peruse. Baristas were friendly. Street parking here can be tricky but coffee was solid.

Cool spot, coffee was alright! Got the wrong order - ended up trying the regular iced latte w whole milk and my gf got the iced mocha. Nothing special, the mocha had clumps of powder! We went on a weekend so maybe that affected the quality and experience.

$7 ICED HONEY CINNAMON LATTE WITH WHOLE MILK (too milky)

(3.5-4 stars). Fuzz Coffee is an interesting spot with a section of vinyl records available for purchase. There's some inside seating-- like tall window seating & a small section against the wall with about 4 "tables." Against the wall you have bench seating and then on the other side there's red stools. I found it very, small space friendly ... the layout helped give more space for a possible line. The interior was bright since they have large windows. They even had tables outside (perhaps about 4-5!). And I liked that they had a wooden door. I think adding a foot handle to close it would be ideal since most people would have their hands full with drinks. The menu is quite simple, they only have two flavor choices available. Honey Cinnamon or Vanilla, these both cost $1 extra. Kind of wild, usually it would be around 75 cents. They seem to only have one sizing choice, 16 oz. I wish they had a 12 oz option for people that like less milk, this way we wouldn't have to ask for extra espresso shots and pay more (to balance the flavor btwn the milk etc). -- which I didn't do because it didn't cross my mind after reading everyone's raving reviews about the latte. So, I ordered their $7.00, Iced Honey Cinnamon Latte with Whole Milk (they also have oat milk as a choice). This is said to be their most popular although as a cinnamon honey latte fan, I am unsure why it is. Their cinnamon wasn't even fragrant and the granules are quite in your throat "sharp" feeling. It's not clumpy by all means, since you can feel every texture of that cinnamon. The drink itself is more milk forward, the balance was not there. The price for a basic flavored latte, is a little on the steep side in my opinion. Although next time, I would perhaps try their iced vanilla latte or maybe even adventure out and try a cortado (I like iced drinks the best though!). Today, they had Seb Bake Shop Pop Up from 8am - 1pm/ sell out. There were many pastries available, for example, basque cheesecake, pumpkin cream cheese bread, cookies, scones, etc. My friend had the cookie and was raving about how delicious they were. And I noticed that the breads were sliced very generously! I was too shy to ask about the pastries, but they looked incredible! If you like espresso + sparkling water (order your drink "for here!") the set up is soo stunning in the morning sun and perhaps it's more delicious. I personally cannot drink hot or bold/plain like that-- but I think if my dad were here he'd enjoy it. Also, it seemed like they had several "for here" glass and ceramic ware so be sure to mention that you want it like that. It's a pretty new shop, I'd come back and try it again. It's a nice spot to come and have convos and if you enjoy music, or records-- come check it out!

Fuzz Coffee is a very cool coffee shop that doubles up as a little record store as well. There is no parking lot here but there is tons of street parking all around. Inside, they have a clean and modern setup with about 5-6 tables for seating and some additional seats outside as well. For their menu, they have a solid selection of different coffee and matcha drinks to choose from. I ended up getting a Honey Cinnamon Latte and digging through some of their crates. They have a nice selection of different indie records from multiple genres that are all priced fairly. Overall, this is definitely a cool spot to check out if you are ever in the area. All of the staff here are friendly and welcoming. Come stop by to grab a drink and peruse through some of their record collection as well.

    Iced Matcha Latte
    Jack M.

I truly enjoyed the iced matcha latte I had from Fuzz Coffee. I asked for just a touch of honey as sweetener and it was perfect. The matcha flavor was clean and delicious. The place is small but has a heart with the quality of its beverages they offer. I saw a lady walk by with a beautifully made cortado, and I was like, "that's what I am having next visit." They offer inside and outside seating. In the food category, they offer patties and baked goods. The service was super friendly! Oh yes, if you are into vinyl records and such, this place is for you.

Star Wars drink aka butterfly tea latte and vanilla latte
    Cheryl E.

Wow! I love this shop! I initially didn't want to visit because it looked small inside, and I'm the type who likes to post up and get work done. But I'm so glad I finally came to check it out -- with my hubby, a record aficionado, in tow. Fuzz is a coffee-meets-record shop: the brandchild of ex-Modern Times and Coffee & Tea Collective brewers, roasters, and brainiacs. (By those names alone, you know it's gonna be good) Now, before we continue this review, you should know that I cringe whenever anyone mentions their favorite drink is the Better Buzz BDE -- I like to TASTE my coffee, and it better not be too sweet. Ergo, when another reviewer here said the coffee was "strong", that made me want to come even more. WHAT WE GOT: * Vanilla Oat Latte: 5/5 as another reviewer mentioned, it's nice to see the shop use real vanilla bean (you could see the black vanilla remnants on the bottom). My husband is also a huge coffee head, and we both agreed: the milk-to-coffee ratio is just DIVINE. I judge coffee shops by this alone. FUZZ nailed it. * OFF MENU secret drink: Butterfly Tea Latte, aka the Blue Star Wars Drink! 5/5 I asked for decaf of a coffee and Carlo, one of the owners, sadly refuted me (more on this below). But he won me over with this offer. Another girl saw him making it and ordered the same am I a drink influencer? Now that's my only calling in life. Carlo asked how I liked it -- they just adjusted it to add more "blue". He said they found a chamomile tea (the tea in the drink) that worked just right with it. I told him that boba shops usually make their tea lattes so milky you can't taste the tea; this was the most balanced tea latte I've had. Score! AMBIENCE: I looove their branding and design, and I'm an ex-brand creative so these things matter to me. After an age of minimalistic Japandi shops, FUZZ is making their mark with bright red design that just screams "we're weirdos, deal with it." Not to mention, the coolest merch like shirts and cups. A light wood bench leans against the white wall, punctuated with bright red stools, and 3 LARGE icons on the wall. The FUZZ crew also OWNS their own record company, so look out for records from their own label. I compared this to Peanut Butter Wolf -- the legend who started Stones Throw Records (Mayer Hawthorne!) and owns the Gold Line bar up in LA, incredible place. GREAT music playing, they chose some aural beats that sound like my ADHD focus playlist. It is rare now when shops play music you can actually focus to, versus distracting you. SEATING: * There is a bench with 3 circular table tops that can fit about 6-8 people, if 2 sit on stools off the bench. * 4 seats at a high top bar by the window * 4 small tables with 2 chairs each, outside by the storefront and street SERVICE: Carlo and his crew were so nice and sooo cool. Just a bunch of guys living their dream, visited by so many old friends / colleagues supporting. I LOVE when local coffee heads start their own shop -- our coffee community in San Diego is so close, and so talented. You know it's gonna be 5 stars. I also appreciate their attention to quality. (More below) TO NOTE: PARKING: ugh, Adams charges us to park now? $2.50 per hour, what there is a small lot next to Blackmarket Bakery (RIP!!) that's $5 for 5 hours, so a better deal for sure. Ugh, screw SD paid parking. You'll luck out if you can find a free spot in the neighborhood. On a weekend, though, it can be tough (though not impossible! :)) MILKS: Whole and Oat only, which is expected; most shops I've seen do not carry almond, which is seemingly unsustainable. DECAF: So on the note of quality... they did NOT have decaf there today (Sept. 13) but Carlo was kind enough to divulge... they'll be getting it in a few weeks! The shop roasts their own coffee and have been on the hunt for the right decaf to serve. I so appreciate their time spent on making sure it's great. I cannot wait to come back here (when they have decaf, hehe), and get my very own perfect-ratio drink. If you like it strong, if you like it real, if you like color and music and not taking yourself too seriously, I'll see you here.

Fuzz is new to the area and took over the love chapel space. It's comfortable, has a few small tables and high counter near the windowed wall. They only serve whole and oat which is a bummer but nothing I can do about it. I ordered the cortado while the hubby ordered an iced vanilla latte. My cortado was well made and smooth. My husband's latte was very creamy from the oat milk, not overly sweet, but not coffee forward either which is why I don't get oat milk. Service was good, genuine, and they're taking their time to craft some solid drinks.

Iced coffee and a scone. I don't like scones. Bagels and croissants FTW. But it wasn't bad.
    Zen X.

Well I love music and I love coffee so I figured I would like Fuzz Coffee. I really like their branding, colors, and font. As far as food and drink, they don't have cold brew which is surprising for a San Diego coffee shop and only a few (albeit good) food options. I had the scone and an iced coffee. If San Diego was a proper city we would have a huge record store/coffee shop with live music and everything. (Portland anybody?) My only complaint is the actual record selection. They have a lot of new and up-and-coming artists like Radiohead and Tame Impala who have yet to really leave their mark on the music industry. But they don't carry well-known, local legends like Zachariah J. I mean come on, Jet Blast Deflector? Hello?!

Fuzz coffee is a brand new cafe that also doubles as a record shop. The air conditioned cafe is a refreshing environment compared to how warm it's been outside in SD! The shop is beautifully decorated and the vibes are great compared to other, more snooty cafes in the area. The coffee was smooth and I'd look forward to trying the matcha and hot coffee next time. The vanilla latte was a bit too sweet for me, so I'd do half sweet next time. Would definitely recommend this spot - it's also very instagrammable!

They also have old cassette tapes, too, if you are a weirdo and a masochist. There are three rooms to explore and a little courtyard in between them all. I have to believe this space was a coffee house or something like that in a different life. The vinyl record collection is the emphasis, as it should be, and it is well-organized. There is some organization to some of the CDs but many of them are just stacked here and there. That is ok. If you are a musical dinosaur like some of us, some of the fun is in the hunt itself. The only drag is parking. Street parking is your only option and it is rough. The good news is there are some cool other shops in this area to explore, like books, beer, food, etc. Well worth a visit for music fans.
