I never do reviews but I felt I should post one in hopes Fuzzy's will see the review and treat customers better.Today I was charged for an orange juice that I did not ask for and then the man who I presume was the manager was very rude refunding me for it. He acted as if it was a burden on him, even though they were the ones who messed up. Also, my friends food was ready in less than 10 min and I waited over 20 min for my food and then had to remind an employee I still had not received my food. We had ordered the exact same thing and she had ordered right before me and we were the only ones ordering at the time, the other people there had already received and eaten their food. I wouldn't have thought less of Fuzzy's if this had been the first time something had gone wrong, but literally every time I've eaten here (probably 4 times) I have a negative experience with unfriendly/rude staff or something wrong with my order. I kept blowing it off as just "oh maybe they're having a rough day" but today their response to charging me for something I didn't order, not apologizing for the error, and rudely refunding me is unacceptable... After this experience, I don't think I will return even though tacos are my favorite meal. read more

Improved with new management!

I love their queso and margaritas! I go in there pretty often, but this time was different. 30 minutes after ordering and finishing our chips & queso, we still hadn't received our order (which is not normal). We went to the window to ask about our tacos. They couldn't find our order, but the manager had them make our order right then. About 5 minutes later, the manager came to our table to let us know he had found our order in their system and refunded my credit card for the whole amount. Everybody messes up sometimes, but it's how you fix your mistakes that makes a real difference. read more

The best taco place in Abilene by far

After talking to the locals, I found this place. I was most impressed because the portions you get here are huge! I ordered the taco plate with spicy pork tacos. I was a little nervous because I didn't think it would fill me up. I was more than happy with the quality of the food and the portion size. My colleges ordered the nachos and they were so big that they could have shared them with everyone else. One tip is, if you order the nachos, you need to eat them fast or they will go soggy. The service was great and the place was very clean. One of my favorite things was the hot sauce that added a nice flavor or sweet, savory without being to powerful. read more

Owners - Managers - I love the food here. Everything on the menu is so good but PLEASE clean up the place. Won't go back until it is cleaned up. Walked in the other day because I was told they had done a deep clean. Just walked out. Floors are never clean - in the dining room and the bathroom. What can I say... I'm a sucker for fuzzy tacos. I absolutely love their shrimp tacos. The taco combos they have creaked are awesome. We drove an hour and a half on a random Saturday just to get our fix. Their patio is nice and the restaurant fits quite a few people as well. We never leave fuzzy dissatisfied. read more

I love this place I really do but it is a new location and they have some kinks to work out. I barely had any feta cheese on my tacos and I love my feta so I was a little disappointed. They messed up my husbands order but they did fix it when pointed out. I love the atmosphere of this location. The patio seating is great. I have heard about Fuzzy's tacos for years and was excited to try it as there isn't one in my hometown. This has to be one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten. The queso was fair, the beef in the fajita tacos was chewy and I spit it out in a napkin. The tortillas were ice cold and when I took it to window to tell them, the girl grabbed the plate and put in the microwave. So now I had chewy meat and melted cheese on my taco. The place was so DIRTY. Disgusting. Do yourself a favor, do not go to Fuzzy's. read more

We've always had a great experience here - until recently. Last week we were here and I ordered grilled fish tacos but received shrimp tacos. Not a big deal, I went ahead and ate them and they tasted ok, but shrimp allergies can be deadly. Not a good mistake to make. My order was also wrong today so that's twice the last two times we've been here that they've screwed up. Today, the cilantro-lime rice was extremely under-cooked (we're talking crunchy and hurts your teeth to eat) so when an employee came by our table and asked if everything was ok, we let him know. His response - "Sorry, I'm not the one cooking it." SERIOUSLY? How about letting them know in the kitchen??? I really hope the kid isn't in some sort of management role. In fact, I hope he isn't working the front of the restaurant anymore. We may eat here another time or two because the food is good (when you get the right order), but if it keeps going down hill, we won't be back. Management was great when it first opened. Hopefully they get back on track soon. read more

Wow a taco joint this bad would not stay open in any major city. The guac dip and chips were good. I heard the enchiladas were OK. My tacos and salad were terrible. I could not even locate the fish pieces. And they gave me wheat tortillas instead of corn and I'm celiac!!!! Thanks guys. read more

POOR SERVICE. This concept is a hybrid between Taco Bueno and Rosas cafe. It is set up like fast food but took 40 minutes to get the bulk of our order and then another 20 minutes to get the rest that they had forgot. The manager said he would bring it out, but never did. We had to go wait in line to get the rest of the order. My teenage son loves anything Mexican and he didn't like it at all. The cheese enchiladas are very poor. The chicken tacos were good. Rice and beans were standard fare. At an average out the door price of $8/person, I would expect more value. Go to Abuelos and eat in the bar. You will leave much happier. read more

Had the shrimp tacos and they were very good. Also got the guacamole and chips... By far the best guacamole within a 100 miles. I usually have to go to Fort Worth. If the only customers they want are young people (guys mainly) then the photos they post will do the trick. Lol. read more

I had such high hopes for this place but I left disappointed and with a stomach ache. I first want to note we went on a Sunday Afternnoon so Fuzzy's was completely empty. We ordered the Shrimp Quesadillas, The Fajita Tacos and Burrito Bowl. The Shrimp Quesadillas lacked the main ingredient...shrimp. It was basically a lackluster basic quesadilla. The Fajita Tacos were almost inedible. The tortillas were not cooked and unbearably cold like they just took them out of a bag and forgot to heat them up. The Fajita meat was rubbery and tasteless. The Burrito bowl included WHITE rice. I have never gone to a Mexican restaurant that has white rice instead of a spanish rice. Abilene has so many other Mexican Restaurants to choose from, I would not waste my money and afternoon on such bland food. read more

Great tacos and enchiladas! The grilled shrimp is my favorite but they were out so I tried the grilled fish...it was ok but not my favorite. My son loves the breakfast tacos. The guacamole and chips are delicious. I like the borracho beans but the black beans have no flavor. read more

Words can't explain how great service is here. Came here and had a small issue with salsa and Kyle the GM fixed the issue before he even got to our table. He even made us new salsa and brought us fresh guacamole himself and gave us new chips. His slogan was "if your in my house your a guest and I will take care of you". read more

I have been to the original Fuzzy's and this location is just not the same. The food is good but not excellent. I have been three times and every time the service has been super slow. The line is long and their are no menus to look at before you get to the register. Time could be saved, and the wait eliminated, if people were able to see a menu and know what they wanted when it was their turn to order. Queso is delicious, my soft tacos were ok. They do have an AWESOME patio area. If they can get their service quicker and more efficient, I would be happier about going back. read more

Just tried fuzzys for the first time, and wow this establishment is not for me. Brought my family along (don't do this) not much of a family environment, it's more of a college/21+ crowd. With that said couldn't hear our number and our food was cold(invest into some digital numbers on the wall). And now the food, we had the beef nachos and I also ordered a potato egg and bacon taco. The beef was more like taco bell slop meat to say the least and the taco taste like some kind of frozen breakfast taco mix you'd buy in the frozen section at Walmart along with the store bought tortilla. Also the customer service from the cooks counter if you'd call it that was horrible, they were rude when I brought up the fact that the food was cold. Will not return, but do hope they can improve some things. read more

AWESOME! Margaritas! and Fast Service! It Can be a bit Greasy! But its Tacos! They are Greasy! And Good! They have several Margarita machines and a full bar! Free soft drink refills! Its a taco place with an experience like a pizza place, Pay before you eat and you pick up your order and get your own drinks. Plenty of TV's with sports playing. Conveniently located across from the mall and down from a liquor store. I would give them five stars but the parking area is undersized and congested. read more

The food here is good the cooks seem good, but the wait staff is terrible. How is this place still open, they are rude, lazy, and incompetent. I have given this place four tries and will not be back.
