It was alright Tex-Mex. Where I'm from, it doesn't take much to impress when it comes to Mexican knock-off food. I had some soft tacos with fajita chicken inside. They were huge. The good part about the place for me is that instead of table service, you just order at the line and then sit down and go get your own food. I can't figure out what all the hype is about?! I rated Fuzzy's at 2 stars just because I think what others had told me make me expect better...or I would have given it 1 star. Our food came out cold...that's a HUGE no-no to me, this is a restaurant and I'm coming in to eat...food should be warm or hot. I ordered 2 taco combo with mex beans and rice. Shrimp taco literally had 4 tiny shrimp on it, very disappointing. The chicken taco was so-so proportion wise but didn't have much flavor. IMO, the refried beans tasted like the taco bell beans you can buy at the grocery store, straight from a can. The mex rice had pea's in it, I can't knock them for that much, everyone has their own recipes...I just didn't expect it. Fuzzy's is a consistently good place to eat, drink, and kick back. The staff are helpful, friendly, and prompt. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. We sat outside on the patio tonight and it was very nice. Lots of folks there de-fragging from their Monday so it was a little loud...but certainly not bothersome. Food was served quickly. The shredded chicken salad was really good. LOTS of yummy stuff for just $6.99. The tacos were also good. The misting fans kept us cool as did the beer and margarita! First time I've tried fish tacos. . .and I enjoyed them very much. If you buy anything nachos. . .you may want to share. Huge portion, but delicious. The food was ok but the service is the reason for two stars. Drank two beers while waiting for food. Food came out cold but was ok. Tables weren't cleaned very promptly either and it was hard to find a clean place to sit. The mess from the lunch rush looked like it had been sitting for a while. We were order 75 and got our food at the same time as 94. We had nachos and a quesadilla. Those two items should be too hard to make. Not impressed by this location but others I've visited have been so much better. read more

We love Fuzzys. The bar tenders totally rock and the food is always good. But someone needs to pay attention to details. A ladder left in front roof the bar for customers to stump their toe on. Ok so, I'd planned on going to my favorite Mexican breakfast taco place (La Popular) while in town but when I saw Fuzzy's was in town I thought I'd give it a try. It's not LP, but very good still. The shredded beef taco on a soft corn tortilla was the best! I also tried the spicy pork which would have probably been good on corn, but wasn't bad on a flour tortilla. The chorizo-egg taco was somewhat less flavorful than some, but also seemed lass fatty. The chips are flavored with what seems like a paprika seasoning and are very good. I'd come back to try other variations. They do not skimp on the ingredients. Nice place to sit down with friends and watch a game (something you can't do at LP). Give em a try! read more

Fuzzy's tends to be consistent from one location to the next. Their portions are substantial and there's a noticeable difference in their food quality compared to most fast food Mexican food joints. This is a fast-casual place so although you can get your food and go quickly, you can also hang out and enjoy their patio. When we're in town, this is one of the places where we eat out because everyone, even my picky nephew, can find something they like on the menu. read more

Beef tacos were only ok. I have certainly had better elsewhere in town for about the same price. The cilantro line rice was the worst I have ever had. I believe they made it this morning and it has set in a warmer tray all day. Avoid it at all costs!!! Two tacos, cilantro lime rice, and a frozen margarita set me back $13.00. Love Fuzzys. The taco selection is great and the atmosphere is fun. The fajita tacos and chicken nachos are my favorites with the fish or shrimp tacos a close second. I don't drink, but the bar is very popular. The service is ok, the staff never seems thrilled to be working there. read more

The worst fuzzy's I've ever been to. Employees are MIA, rice was so undercooked and hard I couldn't eat it. Chicken was dry and obviously old. Order didn't come out correctly but there was no one to even help fix it. Guys behind the counter couldn't figure out my order and even asked me "are you sure?" Food was terrible if you've ever been to a fuzzy's, don't eat here because it won't be anything like what you're used to. Only employee who knew what he was doing and had customer service was a bus guy that was pretty much running the place. Loved this spot. The shredded brisket nachos are great. And order a Margarita on the rocks from the bar! That was delicious.

So so good, their fried spicy mahi mahi taco was so flavorful with just the right amount of heat.

She sighed and gave a dirty look to me when I said I needed a minute to order. There was no one else in line, so I knew I wasn't holding up the line or anything. Visited this area back in March for two weeks ... And for those two weeks I ate fuzzy's every night for dinner. The food is delicious , the staff is super nice . You walk up order your food , pick your seat , and wait for your buzzer to ring to pick your food up from the window . Reasonably priced , there is a bar inside , & nice outdoor patio . Don't let the long line in the evening turn you away , it's worth the wait. read more

Horrible service. Cashier couldn't pay attention long enough to complete my order when taking it. I went in at 8:15. Sign on the door said they were closing at 9:00 for a staff meeting. Figured I had plenty of time to make a to go order. Finished my order and sat a table to wait. Then an employee started stacking chairs and pushing tables all around with no concern what so ever for the people eating their dinner at the other tables. Finally got my food 30 minutes after ordering. I won't go back to this location. Terrible service, employees with terrible attitudes no regard for customers at all. What a difference a few miles make. After a disappointing time in Buffalo Gap, we stopped in to Fuzzy's for a bite. The place was hopping, but the line moved along at a steady pace. I really want to give this place a 3 1/2 it wasn't just OK but I'm not a fan just yet. I've been really excited to check this place out since hearing about it opening, stopped in on a Friday the end of the line was by the door. The menu is located up at the register and being by the door it would of been nice to have some printed out menus beforehand. I ordered baja style tacos tempura shrimp and tempura fish taco on corn tortilla, got my husband the shredded chicken and shredded spicy pork on flour. As far as the dressings go cheese, cilantro, lettuce, tomatoes, garlic sauce, and feta cheese. The tempura fish wasn't what I was expecting when I think of tempura but more of a plain breading and the size of the fish was very small (wish I had taken a photo). The shrimp taco came with three shrimps the breading was falling off and lacked the crunch it so need also their must of been a shortage of the toppings because I didn't get much of it not to mention no feta cheese what so ever. I also ordered a breakfast burrito bacon, potatoes, egg, and cheese it was absolutely delicious love the concept of breakfast all day. The salsa they gave with my meal was ok (for me personally not a fan). I love layout of the place they also have a patio where you can seat and eat, plenty of televisions to watch the game on, and comes a quipped with bar. I'm not ready to say I would never come here again but I'm definitely gonna wait till they get all the kinks out before trying the Fuzzy Taco again. read more

Tried this place out the other day to see if it was consistent with other Fuzzy's Taco places I've been to. I have to say I'm quite happy to see a Fuzzy's Taco here in Abilene. This time I tried the fish tacos. After trying two I have to say they are satisfying to my taste buds, but my stomach was left yearning for more! I would say 2 tacos is enough to make you satisfied, but 3 tacos and a drink would put you into a happy mood. Fuzzy's is definitely worth a try if you are nearby. read more

These guys used to be awesome at food, and the beans were out of this world. The meat quality was scrumptious too! And who couldn't remember the freshly made tortillas? They were delicious at the time. Now, they've changed. I have noticed they have downgraded their ingredients (probably to save on money, but I digress).
