I have frequented this fuzzies a lot over the past few years because I live down the street. The business recently has been busy and chaotic so I understand small mistakes, but over the span of the past few months the food has slowly degraded. I am allergic to gluten (makes me sick and bloated, not deadly allergic) so I like to avoid bread. The past 4-5 orders have been wrong, wether I order corn tortillas and get flower, or I ask for grilled shrimp and get tempura. Today I went and the service, as always is good. The staff is attentive and works hard. But the food sat for quite a while, I ended up with flower tortillas again and the nachos I ordered were stale and cold. I use to enjoy eating at Fuzzy's until I visited this one in Arlington. I've been to this one a couple of times and both times I have been disappointed. The big issue that I had on both visits was the lack of attention to sanitary practices when cleaning tables, changing out trash and dirty silverware. When you're trying to eat, it's not appealing seeing an employee throw his dirty rag on to his shoulder, step on to the bench seating (bottom of shoes are pretty nasty) so he can reach the entire table. I can list 10 more unsanitary things that I observed but I think you get the picture. The good thing is these unsanitary practices can easily be fixed by proper training. It's been a while that ate at another Fuzzy's located in Euless, TX and I didn't observe the same issues. The food at all the Fuzzy's I've visited have been between 3 and 4 stars. With that said, I hope this Fuzzy's can make the necessary corrections. I'll probably visit again in a few months and hope for the best. read more

Fuzzy's definitely offers generous portions of healthy, tasty Tex-Mex. I am so grateful for the black beans and the vegetarian options. It's a fun atmosphere that the entire family can enjoy. You can order an entire plate or just a few tacos; so, you can go if you're hungry for a meal or just want to chill with some friends and have a snack and a quick drink. But, as others have noted -- they have a serious salsa problem. I mean, really. If it weren't for the veggie options, I would give them three stars just for this salsa issue. Seriously, Fuzzy's. Tex-Mex needs salsa! They got my wife's order wrong, salad was supposed to be shredded beef. They gave her chicken. Took it back to the window. The Chef questioned if that was what she really ordered, she showed him the ticket. He GRABBED the salad from her hand, made a new one, then THREW it on the counter. Threw it. We eat at this Fuzzy's a couple of times a week. It is normally pretty good. Not sure who was having a bad day, or why, but I don't think you ever treat customers this way. read more

Ok, so we have seen this place in Arlington and they are popping up everywhere. Heard it was ok so we went there tonight. Ok, so when you go in to a taco shop and there are no Mexicans ... you need to run!!! I had the Shreded beef burrito and my girlfriend had the spicy pork. it was plain no real flavor to the food at all but not only that there was hot sauce on the table that is called " Butt burning Sauce" and it taste like ketchup , with vinegar and a little bit of pepper. Not hot at all... the hot sauce packages at Taco bell are better and cheaper. The guacamole was good and the fish tacos was ok. but for the price not worth it. not a big fan and we will not be going back. I do not want to even give this place a star but i had to give it at least one. read more

Meh, they're alright. It'll hit the spot and relieve your taco craving but there's nothing special about their food. If you want cheaper/better tacos go to any one of the taquerias that are all over town. Their refried beans are really heavy and thick for some reason and the lines do get long and can be slow at times. Not sure why they only have one cashier during peak times like lunch, especially when they have two registers. I do like they are opened late though and it's a very relaxed atmosphere with outdoor seating. Really more like 3.5 stars. I've been here multiple times and I have never been disappointed. Their sandwiches (yes, at a mexican place) are the best thing on the menu. Exact same ingredients as in the tacos but with great bread and tons of garlic sauce. I consider myself a queso connoisseur... I get it everywhere I go. This is the one department where Fuzzy's is lacking. It's a queso blanco, which I usually like, but for some reason i'm just not a big fan. Also, their chips have wayy too much seasoning on them. First, the good: the ambiance and patio are nice. The staff was nice. The food didn't taste terrible. That's basically all I can think of. The bad: Dirty metal forks: I had to draw several forks to get one that didn't have a thin gray layer of either uncleanliness or soap scum, then I cleaned it with my shirt. Bad mixture in the drink fountain: FIrst I drew a coke. It was very syrupy and slightly flat. I dumped it and got an orange drink. It was ok. The Food: The rice was a bit wet but also firm enough to wonder if it had been cooked thoroughly. Strange. My taco tasted ok but the amount of fish was approximately 2/3 of one fish stick. I tasted the fish by itself and it wasn't cod but it wasn't carp. If I'd cooked it at home for guests I would have been apologizing. However, it did not taste spoiled. Bottom line: If you aren't real picky about cleanliness or less than average food and you need a snack on a patio, they've got it. Otherwise, go to taco cabana slightly south and across the street. I almost did myself but thought - what the heck. I'm already parked. I find it amazing that the place was busy and so many people wear their shirts and say they are good. read more

This is the first time I've been to this Fuzzy's, it was not the best Fuzzy's I've been to but also not the worst. The food was good, I ordered the shredded chicken nachos and some chips and guac. The only thing is that any other Fuzzy's I've been too they usually mix the chips and chicken first and then add the cheese. Here it seemed that they add the chicken on top last, and I had to mix it in with the cheese myself. It still tasted fine, but one difference I notice. Also the bowl in which the guac comes in is about half the size compared to other Fuzzy's I've been to. The only thing is the guy who took our order was a bit awkward, I'm not sure why. & he asked me if I wanted salt or sugar on my margarita, I said I didn't want salt on the rim but he put it on there anyway, I'm not much to complain about little things like that, just thought it was annoying. Okay this is my first visit to Fuzzy's in Arlington on Green Oaks Boulevard. The staff was nice, we got two burritos and some sides. The burritos were small and average-at-best. I was still hungry after eating them I went in and ordered some chips and salsa. The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce not even close to Pico. Needless to say I was very disappointed with this fuzzies. The best part was the Kickin margarita. It was more than the whole dinner. Sat outside had a Margarita and nachos. I was thinking - these tables are awful big for a solo diner - and who did I see? My two cousins - who LOVE this place. Thanks guys - you saved me from eating alone - and more importantly, I get to sample your food - double the fun. They both had nachos, so I got to taste the deliciousness of Fuzzy's famous queso. I had a shredded beef salad that was good, though the beef seemed a bit dry. I also ordered a tempura fish taco that was decent, but could've used more garlic sauce. I was a happy camper that trip. The next Saturday, I decided to go back. Alas, the cousins were not there, so I had to stick to my meal (other diners wouldn't take kindly to me asking for samples). I ordered a grilled fish salad with extra garlic sauce. The extra garlic sauce was a great move, but the fish was salty and lacked other seasoning. I won't have the grilled fish again. It was my first time here, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I looked at their menu and asked friends what they get before I came. There was a lot of people. I felt kind of rushed when ordering my food. Breakfast chorizo, egg, cheese taco- NOT GOOD. I didn't taste the chorizo, but I knew they were there because I can see it scrambled in the egg. I didn't taste the egg, only its texture, so they don't know how to cook their eggs. I did, however, taste the cheese. Baja fish (tempura)- GOOD. I would be happy to order this again. Chicken enchilada- GOOD. I would order this again. Rice & potatoes(sides)- good. I didn't finish it, but they were tasty. Chips- has some sort of seasoning that I didn't really care for. White queso- my sister said it tasted like alfredo sauce. It was OK. I've had better white queso. Salsa- I can't believe I had to pay for salsa at a mexican joint. $1.99. It had a kick to it. I've eaten at the Fuzzy's near TCU and the original Arlington location, and am surprised to say that this new location on Green Oaks is my favorite! If someone told me I were going to be eating Mexican food and then took me to Fuzzy's, I might be a little upset. It is far from traditional Mexican cuisine, and as long as you're prepared for that, it's really REALLY good. I had the garlic shredded beef tacos the first time I went and liked them so much that I haven't been willing to deviate from that selection. I usually get three tacos with soft flour tortillas and share an order of guacamole with the boyfriend. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I really enjoy the flavor of their "Butt Burnin' Sauce" on the tacos. ("Butt Burnin" may be a bit of an exaggeration, though) Something about the cilantro, feta cheese, and sauce just rocks my world. Restaurants which carry my soda of choice (Coke Zero) are rare, so I am pleased that Fuzzy's is among them. But when I am feeling naughty, which usually I am, I skip the Coke Zero and go for the alcohol. They have a frozen drink which claims to be a Screwdriver but which tastes exactly like an orange dreamsicle. I also love their Bloody Marys. This location isn't open as late as the others -- I think they close at midnight on Friday and Saturday. This makes sense, as they aren't in the direct vicinity of a college. Part of what I enjoy about this location is that I get to enjoy the food, the drinks, and the jukebox without being crammed in between trendy strangers. It's a lot less busy, and I hope that isn't a sign that the location will be closed in the future, because it's my most favorite. read more

Awesome Mexican food spot, and close to UT Arlington. There is a mixed croud there and everyone always seems so happy. I like to order their breakfast burritos, yummm, the best I've had in Texas. They also have great salads, the meat is always cooked well and always comes out perfect. Their burritos are not my favorite, mostly because they do not come with beans or rice, but you can order those as an add on. I would rate the food (I had) mediocre. The fish tasted fishy (ie - not fresh). Maybe the one in Fort Worth is better. I'll give it another shot. And I'll order something other than the fish tacos. I told the girl ( Danny is her name) that I would run home and be back in 20 minutes. She pulled $20 out of her purse and bought my meal. I was blown away by her act of kindness. Today while my daughter was at her volleyball practice I went to get her a kids taco meal at this location. She had to eat in the 15 minutes between her practices and being the picky eater she is, she said she couldn't eat the tacos because they were too spicy. She's sensitive to spicy food. So by the time the second practice was over it was 9:30p and she asked if we could drive by Fuzzy's to see if they'd be willing to give her another taco (lol... I wasn't expecting them to being an odd request.) When we got there 5 minutes til closing (every restaurant's worst nightmare), she ran in and the manager graciously gave her a new kids meal without hesitation. She said his name was Josh or John. We stopped in at Fuzzy's several weeks ago. It was our first time to eat there and I will say that we loved it! My wife had the garlic shredded beef soft taco and I had the garlic shredded beef jumbo burrito. The meat was tender and flavorful and the burrito was certainly jumbo and plenty for one person (maybe two). We also ordered guacamole and an order of chips and salsa. Both were delicious. The guacamole was freshly made and full of flavor and the salsa was lovely--just the right texture and thickness. There was plenty of spice and heat, but what I really liked was that it was steaming. Most places serve their salsa at room temperature or even chilled, both of which are fine for me, but I really like my salsa to be steaming upon arrival! Service was pretty good. You place your order at the register and they give you a number, which they will call when your food is ready. We went at about 1:00 pm and they were plenty busy, but the food only took a few minutes. I can't speak for any other menu items, but we'll definitely be going back! read more
