These are not authentic street tacos. You want those? Go to Santos Tacos. But if you want something like Baja Style Tacos: this place is good. I've tried the Spicy Pork, Shredded Chicken, Fajita, Ground Beef. And I've had the queso. The meh: The Fajita taco was forgettable (I don't even recall if I got chicken or steak now, it's that forgettable). The queso was bland so I added some hot sauce to it, which helped significantly. But still, I won't be ordering those again. The good: Shredded chicken and ground beef were good. I'd definitely get the chicken again, especially if I wanted enchiladas. The great: THE SPICY PORK. It's not spicy. I am a spicy wimp. Trust me, you'll be fine. The bacon breakfast taco: so good! Really nice chunks of bacon and generous cheese. I'm trying to chorizo soon. The weird: For some reason the tacos come with FETA cheese. Um. I just tell them to keep that to themselves. The best: it's cheap. For what you get, this place is an excellent value. Fuzzy's is a great taco shop. I love their grilled fish soft tacos. I love the sauce they put on them with the cilantro. Their queso is also tasty and they sprinkle a nice little brown spice on their tortilla chips. My boyfriend also loves their chicken quesadilla and he refuses to get anything else. Fuzzy's has great breakfast food that they serve all day. One that I really like is the Big Fuzz which has nice bread with two fried eggs, bacon pieces, cheese, and jalapenos. That dish comes with potatoes which are not always consistent in their taste. Why do I not give Fuzzy's 4 stars? Because once I saw mold in the ice dispenser of the soda machine. But they did clean it up as soon as I told them. Another reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because I am not always extremely satisfied with the taste of the food. For example, one time I tried the Californian taco and it was great, the next time and the last time I ordered it, it lacked taste and the bacon bits were all fat and no meat. I've found that the chicken quesadilla and the big fuzz are the most consistently well cooked items that I've tried and would recommend others to try them! read more

The only reason this gets 2 stars instead of one is because of my many past experiences here, which were mostly satisfactory. I decided to come here tonight and what a disaster. The changes that have been made to this place over the past year are visibly slowing things down and decreasing the quality. The cashier looked like he was in outer space. He even blurted out several times "im f*cked up". This is never appropriate even if you are in the weeds. The cashier also allowed several people to blatantly cut in the line, this was noticed by multiple customers myself included. The line was not actually that long but the cashier seemed grossly incompetent. I think part of the problem is the expansion of the cashier's roll into a bar tender as well. This slows down things dramatically, things were better before they put in an entire liquor menu. In the cashier's defense I think this was causing some of the problem. Fuzzys you are a high volume place with limited staff, they cant handle these things when even the slightest rush hits. I suggest you either hire more people to assist or downsize the menu (especially the drinks). I finally got to the front of what was a very short line (it shouldn't take 30 minutes to order. I get to the register and the cashier, without acknowledging me, not even a "one minute sir", or "sorry I will be right with you", he just simply ignores me while trying to figure out how to bartend. Make sure you remember your order bc, the guy w the thick mustache will be yelling your number out til you pick it up! The Food Chips were covered w red chili powder and Pace picante is better than their hot sauce. Cheese enchiladas were made with queso sauce, I really liked them. I did not care for the rice it tasted like Knor's Spanish rice w peas and carrots. Beans were really tasty. Perfect queso, cheap scooners of beer, neighborhood dive feel, loud music, TVs everywhere, butt burnin' sauce on the tables and great prices... Can't ask for much more. I went to TCU so my relationship with Fuzzy's has spanned a better part of a decade now. I saw it through a change in ownership and an expansion and much improvement. My first few visits it was synonymous with "scary" and "night on the toilet" but with the change in ownership came taco heaven. The queso is easily the best queso in DFW. White cheese, pico, shredded cheddar and monteray jack on top. The enchiladas are amazing as are any variety of taco. The refried beans have feta sprinkled on top and the rice is graced with peas and tomatoes. The beers are cheap, huge and freezing, but steer clear of the wine based margaritas. (Leave you with a killer hang over.) Park yourself on one of the few outdoor seats on any given Friday or Saturday (or Thursday or Tuesday) evening for some quality people watching, drunk TCU kids on their way to the Aardvark or The Moon. read more

Fuzzy's is quite possibly my favorite restaurant ever. This location in particular. When I came back from spending five weeks in Spain my parents asked what I wanted to eat. My response: Fuzzy's nachos and a margarita. So my entire family brought me here and it was awesome. This is the original Fuzzy's and it is tiny. On football game nights it gets really packed and my friends and I have even shared a table with strangers. You gotta get in where you fit in. There's parking across the street behind 7-11 or you can brave street parking if you dare (beware no parking zones because they will tow your car). The most important fact about Fuzzy's is their food. They are definitely Tex Mex and not real Mex but it's so good. My personal favorite is their beef nachos, chips and queso, or their tacos. The ground beef is my favorite but their shrimp tempura is pretty good as well. This Fuzzy's is extra special because they have purple margaritas. Say what? Well, they are basically on TCU's campus and it only makes sense. Several Yelpers have commented on the customer service. I've been patronizing this business for over 7 years and have yet to have a negative experience. Everyone who works here is nice, even when they card me (despite being closer to 30 than 20...but I digress). If you want some real, authentic Fuzzy's, this is the spot. I love Fuzzy's and I've never had a bad experience at any location. I've come to the berry location often because it's super close and it's always been good until now. I ordered a burrito and a taco. Well, my burrito came with a straw wrapper in it that I didn't order. I don't like to complain, but this was disgusting and I've never seen something like this before. I spoke to the manager and they insisted they would send gift cards. All in all, I would have been ok with just my money back since I obviously didn't get to finish my meal. Well here we are almost 2 months later and still nothing... no money back or gift cards as promised. Reached out to the manager again and I get nothing. Never going back to this location again! Previously I have written a couple of scathing reviews of the Fuzzys Berry St. store. In my review posted on 9/15/21, I let Fuzzys have it with both barrels and gave them a 1 star. Despite our previous angst, my wife and I have continued to make our weekly trek as we have done for the last 19 years. I am very happy to report that the ownership and management have put forth a grand effort to address and correct my complaints. The store, now is very well staffed, the line for service moves along at a nice pace. The help seems to be more skilled with less confusion and the turnover rate seems to be much less. Several of the previous cooks who left have since returned and the food quality and consistency has improved considerably as a result. I have noticed that they have added a couple of other cooks that have been there for a while and seem to care about their work and product. Since my last review they have hired a new bartender, Candace, and she is very competent, friendly, helpful and keeps her eyes on the ball. I appreciate the efforts put forth by Fuzzys to make the reforms and changes necessary to this store. Today I will give Fuzzys a 3.5 star rating. they have earned it. I feel it to soon to give a 4 or 5 star rating, because I want them to have something to work for. It is nice to see that they care and things are working out nicely. Thank you Fuzzys! WUT. Seriously not all Fuzzy's locations are created even. That's what separates Fuzzzy's from "other" franchises... At least all other franchises taste similar and you can expect a certain level of...expectation (yeah, I'm not a thesaurus. Sue me). Dude parking S-U-C-K-S. Every time I've gone I parked at the 7-11 across the street and hoofed it. Yeah they get crazy busy but parking needs to be bigger than a postage stamp. Pulled out huge chunks of what was supposed to be shredded pork. More like brick shards, the food group it's a part of. I started pulling them out of the other tacos, to which my boyfriend made a face and said "I'm getting those too." I was left eating lettuce and hot sauce.
