Fye are always fun and nostalgic to look through as they still sell a smaller variety of dvds, cds and merchandise. Over the years they have mainly became a trinkets and pop culture relevant supplies store. So it atoll pretty fun to browse at. Although prices are pretty high. This particular location in the st Mathews mall is much smaller then it's sister store at the Jefferson mall. I'd say probably half the size of it. They still do a decent job of keeping it clean and spaced out. But not much to choose from and even the "sales" aren't great prices. read more

Heads up!! My granddaughter purchased a Winnie The Pooh blanket from FYE. When she got home, she was telling me she didn't understand why her total was so much. The tag on the product said $30 and they charged her$39.99. I called to tell them what happened and the manager replied, "oh, sorry about that, you can bring the receipt and we will refund the difference." He never asked to describe the item or give the SKU number so they could make their system right. He said sometimes are system doesn't catch up with a price change. Jack ass!!! The price didn't change!!!! I would see where he was coming from if the price on the item was $39.99, they reduced to $30, and still charged $39.99. Nice try FYE!! BUSTED! read more

This business' operating procedures are completely unprofessional and out of touch with reality. They hire in person and fire by texting? How cowardly is that for management procedures? Don't work at FYE and don't shop here you can find anything they sell on the Internet without their management's unprofessional business practices. Total disclosure (something the For Your Entertainment corporation doesn't have as a business model) I am speaking out for someone I know who worked there. I also have 33 years of retail experience and people leadership experience and I have had to let people go. I have the guts to do it in person not by texting. FYE's always been a place I've stopped in whenever I'm at St. Matthews or Jefferson mall. It used to be a lot better, with a much larger music and video selection. Now it seems like this store has transformed into a junky toy store. When you walk in, it's filled with collectible figures, plushes, and a bunch of other nonsense. The only thing that still has me coming back is the new Vinyl section they have. They usually have a lot of modern records, which is normally what I'm going after. For the DVD's that they still have, I always love their "Buy 2 used, get 1 free" deal they seem to have constantly going on. read more

Their product selection as a whole is something I like to see in a store. There's a variety to it that seems to be focused on young adults and caters heavily to the gaming generation. This is something I feel like is a big departure from who they used to be, which was a giant store that focused on selling movies and music. While I enjoy the products daily that I have purchased from this store, it is the cashiers that have put this store to shame. They asked if we wanted to subscribe to some magazines where after two months the subscription will end itself and you will never be charged, but they needed a card on file for membership. Can you imagine my displeasure when I was billed for a year for each of the magazines I signed up for? Luckily, you can Google and find a phone number that automates the process of getting a refund and cancelling your subscription to all these magazines without having to ever deal with their rude and pushy "customer service". In my opinion, they're shady as cashiers when they push the magazine subscriptions on you. Simply say no, no matter the discount you would receive in the store. FYE MEMBERSHIP IS A SCAM!!!! I purchased one item, their "free" month membership was added after the purchase. Somehow they got my bank account information and have been charging me monthly. I never received, an email, a phone call, or letter regarding my auto-enrollment. The store associate mentioned I had to register online which I never did, nor did I approve payment using my bank account or debt card for future charges. FYE customer service also refused to refund me a payment they processed less than 24 hrs. Ago. Important to note I have not used this membership once since they sneakily started charging me. As someone who regularly walks into this specific FYE location I can say they have had huge improvements. This store has rearranged basically everything and seems to be more organized than ever. I can't say it's perfect but it's much better than how it was. I used to have rummage through every genre to find a movie because it wasn't in the correct location. I do like that their clothing options have opened up a bit and they're actually nice. Still the same graphic t-shirts and other products along those lines but the quality seems better. I also enjoy the customers that enter the store. It feels like a very diverse group of people that are very respectful. I love that! The staff on the other hand are nice but seem like they don't want to be working and are pretty bland when I try to talk to them or ask them questions. I understand work is tough and stressful but bring the energy! I am happy with the improvements from this store and I'm sure we will all see the store continue to blossom. read more
