The AAA tow truck operator towed me in after my camper/van started smoking and ground to a halt at the Alabama Visitor's center on RT 59. I was on my way home to Florida after a long trip and this was a Sunday night. I'd had it checked and the fluids topped off the week before so I was shocked and afraid. I camped in Moe's parking lot with my dogs that night. The daylight brought Moe and his team on the scene ready before the doors even opened. He diagnosed the trouble right away (the transmission-I'll spare the gory details) but we needed another one quickly. I was traveling with 3 small dogs and there was a heat wave. Within 2 hours, his assistant had found 4 transmissions (Got to love a Ford). They explained the plusses and minuses of each: the mileage, price and distance. We picked the best option and it would arrive the next day. Jennifer from Moe's helped me find a local, pet friendly hotel and gave me a ride. She called me at every junction, when the transmission came in, any issues in installation. They finished ahead of schedule and Jennifer came to pick us up the morning after they started repair. My car had a super inconvenient issue. The ignition switch had totally locked up. I literally…read morecould not turn the key. TBH I knew it had been having an issue for years as I had to 'jiggle' it to get it to turn since forever. But I drove to a grocery store and upon leaving it literally would not turn. I got a ride home and found Christian Brothers. They called a tow truck for me. They gave me a courtesy ride from my home back to the car so I could give the tow truck driver the keys (fat lot of good that did but still). Front wheels totally locked up but the tow driver knew how to handle that. Once at CBA they gave me a courtesy ride home as well. Next day they gave an estimate. Great communication through calls and texts. Car was fixed following day. They gave me a list of other recommended repairs. As someone else said, not the cheapest but the best. If you're looking for a sub $100 fix, look elsewhere but if you want people who are professional and helpful, go here. I will return.

They were able to identify the issue and resolve it in a timely manner. I know for a lot of car repair shops, it often takes days maybe even sometimes weeks to do a big repair. In my case, I had a semi-intense repair needed for my engine and they were able to resolve it within 2 days. As a woman, it is important to me that I am being treated fairly and with kindness when engaging in conversations and inquiries with a car repair shop. The shop was very clean which is important to me since often times, people will choose to wait in the shop why their car is being repaired or services. As stated, they were very informative, approachable, and even showed pictures displaying the issue of my car while also providing the severity of it. It's been about 3 weeks since my repair and I haven't had any issues with it since. Definitely will be my go to car repair shop if I ever run into any issues in the future.
