My experience at G&C couldn't have been any better. I called ahead to see if they could fix the driver's window of my Honda, the electrical part had stopped working resulting in some real awkward visits to the McDonald's drive-through when I had to open the car door to hand off $ and pick up food. Alex assured me the fix should be simple, so I scheduled a time to bring the car in so he could order the part. During the initial consultation, I asked about headlight restoration, and either because of the holiday season or COVID mania, I was told they would do the headlights for free. Now, I don't know where you're from, but I had just come up from SF to Sonoma, and in the city, nothing is free. Except maybe an expletive-laced tongue lashing from a stranger on the street, or a pile of animal (or human) waste on your doorstep. The part came in the following day, so I took the car back and left it a few hours. My window is back in fine running order, and my 2007 Honda headlights look like a million bucks. After a game of frogger with Bambi (And losing), I needed to get my car repaired ASAP. After working through Geico, I got an appointment immediately with G&C Auto Body that same morning. Dealing with G&C was great and the job would of been taken care of quicker, but we all had to wait on the weekly visit from Geico before we could move forward (Two days after the accident). Brittany who mans the front desk at G&C was absolutely wonderful and Luis the General Manager was awesome, an absolute straight shooter. So even before the Geico claims adjuster showed up two days later, I already had a damage assessment in my hands so I knew what was expected in regards to the deductible. So the accident occurred on Monday morning, work began on Thursday and the whole job was done by Saturday, I'd say that is pretty quick work for a full bumper replacement, headlights, and hood and side panel realignment. Luis was even kind enough to touch up some spots that had chips that would of cost more for no fee at all! Now I can say that I have never had extensive work done on my car, so this was a first time experience, but a very positive one and also one that I could recommend to anyone else looking for car body work. read more

This is the second or third time I needed body work. This time the snaps that hold the front bumper were coming loose on both sides and I did not want buy a new bumper. They replaced the fasteners for a fraction of cost of a new bumper and looks brand new! Good job and on time and quote. read more

I had an automobile accidents and I had several places to choose from. I decided after some consideration and also after looking at the reviews to take my car here. I was in deep distress because I needed my car very badly for work, and I was on a very tight timeline to get it done! I took my vehicle in and gave it to Alex I was originally quoted over a month from some other places. After a very non stressful conversation I was assured that it would be no more than 2 weeks from this facility. I was dealt with honestly and with integrity and the updates were very frequent Alex was never too busy to take my call and the few times he was working on another car, I was called back almost immediately after leaving a message. I have dealt with many auto body repair shops in my time over the years and usually I am very sceptical when it comes to automobile repair however, having said that, this particular establishment is probably the very best establishment I have ever dealt with in terms of having my car fixed. Everyone was extremely professional and courteous all the way down to the very nice lady at the front desk, I was never lied to I was never given timelines that were not true and as a matter of fact Alex even told me on multiple times he would rather give me a conservative timeline on repairs than to be a liar. I was absolutely astonished with the quality of work! To say that my car looked better than it did when I took it off of the lot is an understatement! I even had a very tricky situation with my insurance company and he personally talked to the insurance adjuster reducing my stress even more. All the way down to washing the car at the end of the job everything was superb! I had an unrelated incident that was not necessarily the fault of this body shop but they took care of it for free and did it within a few hours. Worst customer service of my life! Took my truck here to have some repairs done and was told it would take 2 weeks to repair. Instead took them over 2 months to get my truck back to me. During the repairs they refused to give me a rental so I had to pay for one out of pocket. I was told that they would reimburse me for the rental car. I feel like going to the auto body shop is the last thing anybody really WANTS to do... so imagine my surprise when G&C made this the easiest experience possible! I was rear-ended on the way home from work a couple of weeks ago. The other driver was young and had another accident on his record, so his family asked to pay for the repairs rather than going through insurance. I was nervous, but I had the other driver's info, and decided to stop by G&C for a quote on the repair cost... From start to finish, Ryan and Ashley both made sure I was completely taken care of! They wrote a detailed quote that was incredibly reasonable, and they also helped me coordinate payment with the other party. The entire process was incredibly smooth and took less than two weeks from the time I first walked in the door. The repairs themselves took less than two days, even with some additional service that was not included on my quote, with zero additional charge! They even washed my car for me, and believe me, I had been putting it off for months... Seriously, these folks are the real deal! I could not ask for a better experience. This is the first time I've ever had to deal with repairs after an accident, and the staff at G&C made sure I was comfortable and informed the whole time. I cannot recommend them enough! P.S. My expectations heading into a fender-bender fix were low. It's just a darn nuisance and a pain. In addition, I was wary of shadowy and potentially steep financial surprises. This place is terrible and I do not recommend. We had a car in the shop for fender damage. They said it would take 2 weeks. 4 weeks later we will do not have it back and we will have to wait another week. On top of that, we are without a rental because the month the insurance covers is up. They are terrible at communicating and we only got information because we called and physically went in to the shop. On top of all of this, we felt like we did not matter and were not a priority to this shop. We will never do there again. read more

We were visiting family in Sonoma when we were rear ended at a metering light. The damage to our vehicle involved the rear bumper and liner. We couldn't drive the vehicle as the rear bumper liner was pushed up against the rear driver's side tire. We had our vehicle towed to G & C Auto Body and they were able to squeeze us in and inspect the damage and provide a quick fix that allowed us to drive back home. I went to 2 body shops to get estimates on my daughter's 2005 Jetta. The first place wanted close to $2000 for the damages. G&C suggested used parts, so their estimate was only $425. While vacationing in the area, our rental car sustained a paint scape from another car in a parking lot. G & C was recommended by someone living in the area, so we stopped by to see what it would cost to have the area buffed out prior to returning the car to the airport. We pulled up to the garage area and asked one of technicians if he could look at it and provide an idea to us of the cost/time associated with buffing it out. He told us to wait a minute while he brought a buffing type tool to our car, then proceeded to put some sort of chemical/cleaner over the 6 inch area, and with the tool, he buffed it right out. We thanked him and asked for the cost, but he refused to charge us. we then even offered him a tip which he also refused to take. I wish I would have asked his name. I got into a self-created fender bender with large metal rack (don't ask) and the guys at G&C we so darn professional, didn't even make me feel stupid when it was such an embarrassing moment for me. When I went in for an estimate, I had literally just moved to the area and still had all my belongings in the car. They were kind enough to move my repair window to coincide with when they got the part, obviating the need for me to leave my car there for over a week / move my entire life into the rental car. The gentlemen who work here are consummate professionals. The bumper of my car was damaged in a parking lot when it was empty. I brought it here and the manager said it would cost $1000 for the repair if I wanted it done right, or $250 for a lower quality job. I told him I had insurance with a $500 deductible and he suggested that maybe I should consider the higher quality job since it was only a few hundred dollars more. I took it to another body shop in town, Daniele's, and the manager told his worker to get a heat lamp. He worked for 5 minutes and the bumper looked like new. He said there would be no charge and he was happy to do it. read more
