I almost never write reviews--but I felt compelled to after this experience. I brought my 2012 Jeep Liberty into this shop after lightly bumping off the rear fender pulling into a tight garage. The fender itself was completely fine--just a few plastic clips had popped. I was quoted over $1,000 for the repair, and was told that the clips couldn't be purchased separately, so the entire fender would need to be replaced. That didn't sound quite right, so I did a little digging. Turns out the exact replacement clips were available on Amazon for under $10. I bought them, installed them myself in about 10 minutes, and the fender is now perfectly reattached. I want to be fair--this shop clearly does good work, and that's reflected in their many positive reviews. But this situation was unacceptable. Whether it was a genuine oversight or an intentional upsell, I was almost charged over $1,000 for a repair that cost me less than $10 to fix myself. Bottom line: get a second opinion before agreeing to any major work here. I'm glad I trusted my gut--someone else might not think to question it. **Edit (Response): Thanks for the reply, but I still believe this could've been handled more transparently. I understand that you're limited to certain vendors--but as a customer, I deserved to know that this was a minor issue that could be solved with a $10 part. Even if you couldn't do that repair yourself, a heads-up or honest suggestion would've gone a long way. Instead, I was led to believe a full fender replacement was my only option, which almost cost me over $1,000 for something I fixed in minutes. That's not acceptable, and I hope future customers are given more clarity and choices. read more

Ken Lazzini was really helpful and took time out to address issues on my older custom (body kit) 2001 Mustang GT convertible. The other 5 auto body shops were not so. Could not even get a reccomendation for a shop that would possibly handle it.!! Horrible experience. Very dishonest and unprofessional. Attached please find the text messages and the invoice, you can be the judge. Their ads are very misleading and the owner felt an urge to curse offensive language because he was unhappy with what price he had to honor. Right hand does not communicate to left hand. Get it in writing. -note that on the invoice the funny math does not add up to what is advertised on their website and the text message with the special: states paint is part of the price but some how paint and materials are not part of the deal according to my invoice. Buyer beware! Definitely not the transparency you get and expect when dealing with a honest business, also they could do without the rude behavior. Lastly don't make promises you wont keep! I had a great experience with SC Collision. Family run biz with Scott and his daughter Lauren. My SUV was in dire need of a paint job due to peeling clear coat, scratches, dents and faded black trim. I got the single stage paint to save $$ since it was out of pocket. I was concerned about the quality of the paint wihout clear coat but it turned out fantastic! There is some "orange peel" at certain angles (to be expected with single stage) but overally it looks awesome -- with great gloss too. This option saved me thousands and I still get a 4 year warranty. Also the faded black trim was painted and looks 100x better. I had an issue with the roof rack moldings coming loose afterwards but Ken ordered new ones at no cost to me. They stand behind their work and want the customer to be happy. I had an amazing experience at Sonoma County Collision Repair in Aug. 2022. I was referred to them by TWO unaffiliated autobody shops in Marin that couldn't fit me in. I was paying out of pocket for my Highlander to be repainted (it has low mileage and repainting was much cheaper than buying new). I also added on a few minor repairs. Ken made the entire process so easy. Every step was itemized on the quote, which was ~20% less than other places. Ken said two weeks and it took exactly two weeks. The car looks spectacular! I normally do not write reviews but this place definitely deserves one. I came to this place by chance as I was looking for MAACO for affordable paint as I was building a daily driver truck. The paint and bodywork turned out great and they were very helpful and friendly which most shops do not go the extra mile to make things right. I've had issues with other autobody shops where the paint is not matching or they are reusing old damaged parts or refusing to address an issue because it was not noted in the initial inspection. I had them put a custom hood on, fix dents, and paint and they even offered to put new emblems on which I do not want as I want a de-badged truck. I got side swiped on the freeway in my daughters car and the damage was pretty bad so I was refered to Sonoma County Collision Repair by a great friend of mine and I am so happy I got a hold of this company! This place sucks! They quoted me at $6700 to prime and paint my car. When I brought it in, they changed the price to $15000!!! I had already sent them pictures (and many videos) of my car beforehand. Plus, I went over every single detail with them over the phone. They sent me a complete estimate and told me that they would do everything and there would be no problems. Once they (Ken) saw my Southern Marin address; how rare my car is; and how dedicated to this car I am, he immediately started padding the bill. The next thing I know, he's adding an extra $8000 just for the primer. My car is completely strait with only a couple of little spots that need minor attention. They pulled the bait and switch on me. I had a professional go over their second estimate and he proved that they are not to be trusted. Unless your insurance is footing the bill, run from these people like the plague! read more

Let me start off by saying that Scott and his daughter verbally assaulted me and cussed me out , said to me either I pay in cash now or they will have my car towed or I will be charged 50 dollers a day storage . Technically they threatened to steal my car and charge me by the day because I was showing them that the hood had bubbles in it and I was not happy .I was told my business doesn't matter and they don't give a bleep about the junk car that I have as he sat up in his Motorhome and told me to get this fing thing out of here and pay cash or he will have it towed . Scott also pointed to his half empty parking lot red faced and told me he doesn't need my business and to look around his lot , then His daughter rushed at me he called me multiple names and told me to get the F out as well as other things . Extremely unprofessional And shocking . I was pointing out their awful work about 7 bubbles in hood . Beware Sonoma county !!! Scott and his daughter are priveleged hot heads . I was in shock , Beware . I was forced to pay top doller for half a$$ work or have my car towed . This is a true story and I can now see why they changed there business name . Unreal !!! There is a reason a business is rated 5 stars and it has nothing to do with luck. Scott and his family are the reason Sonoma County Collision Repair deserves such high marks. When my 20 year old pick up needed a little love and a new paint job, because I had tried to save some money and do the work myself, I completely expected Scott to say no. But not only did he say he could fix all my mistakes, he also presented me with several options at different price points allowing me to make an informed decision that fit my budget. Then I really tried to make it impossible for him by informing him all the work had to be done within a one week time period because I had to be out of town and back to work several states away. Scott never flinched as difficult as I tried to make it for him, and all the work was eventually done on time, and on budget. My truck is beautiful!!! It looks as good as it did the day I drove it out of the dealership 20 years earlier. Scott and his daughters deserve all the praise their customers are willing to share. Went in there to ask some questions about a car repair, they weren't fully answering my questions and only questioned me about money while I was just trying to get information. Workers are all VERY RUDE, they NEED better customer service. Don't even deserve a star, very bad experience I had here I would recommend to go somewhere else where they will give you great customer service and fully answer you questions. These people with say something and the next time you go will say something else... very unprofessional. Don't understand how they have customers. I have a 20 year old truck that has low miles and runs fine but started having some oxidation spots in the paint. I use the truck just around town to transport my dog and haul things so I was not yet interested in buying a new truck for 40K to 80K. I came across a Sonoma County Collision Repair ad in the Press Democrat online and decided to get a free estimate from them. Scott, the owner, gave me two options and provided me printout of the lower cost option I was most interested in. The paint job looked great when I got it back after one week. I had one issue with a side repair for a window that would not roll down that took a couple extra visits to resolve however Scott did not add on any additional charges for their extra time it took them to fix the window. This is a family run business and everyone I worked with was friendly and helpful. I am very satisfied with my overall experience and would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a paint job or collision repair. read more
