The family stopped by here for lunch as we were passing through the area. They had a gluten free option available for us (extra $4, which is a bit much in my opinion for a 10 inch pizza). The regular pizzas have a nice buttery flavor crust that holds up well, a little dry on the edge for mine. The sauce has a touch too much oregano for my taste in a few bites. Seemed like good quality cheese. I'd prefer a bit more on the toppings, but the price it was reasonable. The place has a number of non pizza options available as well and all seemed reasonable priced. It did take about 1/2 hour for the meals to come after ordering and we were the only ones in the place, so it did seem a bit long. Kind of a sports bet vibe with all kinds of team pennants on the walls. Overall, we left satisfied. read more

The food is good but the service is EXTREMELY slow and very bad, they seem to be chronically understaffed. The waitress acted like our presence was an inconvenience to her. I have been here twice and both times it took nearly 45 minutes to get our pizza. It takes at least twice as long to get your food here as it does at any other dine-in restaurant I have been to. the first time I went there since I came back I had gone with my boyfriend the waitress was rude only to me and flirted wit him throughout the night. This time they messed up our order instead of giving us barbecue buffalo wings they gave us hot wings and a side salad we didnt order that cost 7 dollars. This place has been a family favorite for many years so I don't know what the heck was going on last night. We understand Covid has caused issues, but if I were the owner, unacceptable wouldn't fly. My fiancé's burger was a thin, overcooked patty and his french fries tasted burned (inedible) but didn't look it. My salad was amazing as always. The to-go we took home was the usual amazing wings, however the pizza was burned with a cluster of toppings just in the center. The to-go french fries tasted burned as well, which usually means the oil is old. The waitress was so cute and sweet She was trying to cover way too many tables and we waited 20 minutes to order our drinks and 45 minutes to get our drinks and another 45 for our food which is understandable when short-handed. Had their jumbo vegie pizza on a trip. It is truly jumbo, we had plenty for breakfast as well. We're from Chicago area so I admit I am not a fan of other style pizzas. This one was pretty good but needed more sauce and cheese. Vegies were also not plentiful but as I said, this was a very jumbo pizza for a fair price and it was good. While the pizza was still hot when i arrived to pick up.....the crust was under done and not very tasty. Pretty sure its pre made pressed frozen crust like you get in a grocery store frozen pizza. I first want to say the one star is not for the food which is really good but for the waitress today. I ordered 2 sandwiches to go which came to $18. something. I gave the waitress a fifty and right away she tells me she cant break it and I have to go somewhere else and break it and come back. I tell her I'm not going to run around trying to break it and they can keep their sandwiches. the waitress starts telling me the order is placed and I have to pay for it. I tell her I only have the fifty and no money in the bank, she starts in again and I decided to walk away. I hear her saying "we will never take her order again". I turned around and told her I was more then willing to pay but I'm not going to drive around. there are several customers in the restaurant and it's 1:45 pm. so if any of the people paid with a fifty they would be told what? I asked for the owners/managers name and was told they won't give it out. I asked for a phone number, was told no. I asked when the owner/manager would be there, I was told they cant tell me. I called the day before the Superbowl to inquire when the best time to order a pizza, for delivery, would be given the fact I knew they would busy during the Superbowl. The man that answered the phone said I could order right then, insuring I'd get the pizza on time. I gave him my order and told him the RV park I was staying at and the site number. He commented "Oh, I know that place well...I"m one of the delivery drivers, but I'm not working tomorrow. He repeated the site number and he had written down the incorrect one. I corrected him and he repeated it. I asked him if he needed my phone number and he also wrote that down. Fast forward to Superbowl Sunday, where I had invited guests over to watch the game. By 5:30, no pizza. I call and the woman who answered the phone, after I identified myself said, "We do not have a site number or phone number for you so we could not deliver". When I explained the exchange with the man the day before she replies, "I have the ticket right in front of me and there is not site number or phone number on it!" I asked her "How is that my fault?" I am in an RV Park; of course I gave my site number. In fact, I had to correct the man who wrote it down wrong the first time." She replied it was not her fault. "That man is not working today and it is his fault, not mine". So I ask her, "So where are we?" And she states she will have it brought over "as soon as the delivery driver returns. I tell her this is not acceptable as the pizza will be cold and uneatable being an hour now since it was prepared. Again she tells me its not her problem or her fault because she was not working the day the order was taken. She simply could not understand that no one was trying to blame her specifically, but there was responsibility on the part of the establishment. She refused to make a fresh pizza and rush it over continuing to say "It was not her fault". So I told her to cancel my order and refund my credit card, which was done. But I am at a loss as to why a simple apology for the lack of information being put on the "ticket" and rushing a new pizza over was not a viable solution. Instead, they wasted a Jumbe pizza ($33.00), lost a customer and at least 15 more here in this RV park that will not patronize them after hearing this story. And I was left in an embarrassing predicament with hungry friends who came expecting to eat. Just an unbelievable experience. read more

Well, most of the reviews were so poor that i almost didn't order. My pizza arrived at the right temp to eat. The crust was perfect. The complaints about cracker crust and cardboard taste unfounded. Just the right amount of toppings and the cheese was good. Now the sauce was a little bland for me, but I had some italian seasoning and crushed red pepper flakes and a little more salt. We ordered a extra large Hawaiian pizza. Ran us about $30, thought we would have pizza for a few days. We stopped in to do a to go order. We were told the wait would be about 40 minutes, decided to have it delivered. Upon receipt, I think this is the largest pizza we have ever seen. Unfortunately, the crust was very much like a frozen pizza crust. No flavor, kind of like cardboard. The sauce tasted just like a thickened tomato sauce, no flavor to it at all. Ham, pineapple and cheese were average amount. Very disappointed, if we had stayed at the restaurant, we would have sent it back. So, if you like bland, non seasoned sauce. This is the place for you. WOW! Benson, AZ has 3 pizza places and ALL of them suck! My family went out today to grab a bite to eat and I have been to every restaurant in Benson except this place and boy was it bad. Not only did we wait for almost an hour to get our pizza, our app onion rings were overcooked ( I don't know how you can F up onion rings but.... ok..) The pizza crust had the texture and taste of a saltine cracker that had a very bland tomato sauce if you could call it that. It was inedible , we just paid for the onion rings and left the poor waitress a tip. She was the only one working that day when it got slammed with a bunch of unhappy customers. I won't go there anymore. I hope Benson can get some good restaurants, I feel bad for the hardworking people there who would like to go somewhere close to eat. We loved our take out pizza! This is a cool place, with a small town local vibe and great pizza. We opted for take out as we wanted to head back to our B&B and relax with beer and pizza. So after a quick stop at the local Safeway for a six pack, we went to G&F based on a recommendation by the Safeway cashier. We were not disappointed. The cashier did tell us that Friday nights are fish fry nights at G&F so expect it to be crowded. We got there and ordered a large pizza with 3 toppings, which came to $15 and change. The wait staff was gracious, accommodating (and very busy). We waited a little longer than expected (hence the 4 stars) but it was well worth it. When our pizza was ready, they brought it out and made sure we had plenty of packets of parmesan, crushed red pepper, paper plates and napkins. We headed back to our B&B and thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and beer. By the way, the fried fish we saw coming out of the kitchen looked perfectly fried large portions accompanied by french fries. Outstanding! Absolutely the best pizza this side of New York. For a mom and pop restaurant in the desert, this place is truly wonderful. Four different crusts, tons of various toppings, ample servings and sizes. Lots of side dishes and options. Beer on tap, soda by the pitcher, appetizers galore! Tons of wall eye-candy if you're a sports fan. The chef is the owner and he cranks out pizzas in no time. They are fast, they have great attitudes, and a waitress that goes like the Eveready Energizer bunny! Fast as well with very little wait time. Pizza arrives steaming hot out of the oven. And yes, be prepared to take a box of leftovers home, which are just as delicious the next day! When you leave, all you talk about is the meal. Now that's what I call a great 'Pizzaria'! I have only been in once. Friday night they had an all you can eat fish dinner. I asked what kind of fish...."Alaskan cod". I have been the captain of commercial fishing boats for 35 years including longline fishing cod. I was given deep fried tilapia. The size shape, texture and thickness were a dead give away. A business can only do that to me once. If the dinner was free.....I would not eat there.
