UPDATED: Received a full deposit refund…read more Our car was supposed to have been transported by American Auto Shipping, from Long Beach California to "Tampa" Florida, but had a very difficult time dispatching a driver due to the high rising gas prices. After a few weeks of trying, I ended up canceling my request and had to retrieve our car myself. About a week after contacting American Auto shipping, I was finally contacted by an American Auto Shipping representative and was able to receive a full refund of my deposit as well as a discount to be used in the future if needed. I would definitely consider using this shipping company again.

When the driver arrived, he was immediately rude and aggressive. I asked that my car be towed to Discount Tire, but he insisted he had a different drop-off location from the insurance company. When we offered to pay out of pocket to change the destination, things escalated. The driver screamed "F*** you and F*** whoever is on the phone" -- completely unprovoked and shockingly unprofessional. I called the company to report the incident, hoping to speak to someone reasonable. Instead, the person who claimed to be the owner yelled at me, told me they "don't have all day to wait," and showed zero interest in what actually happened. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. If you want to feel safe, respected, or treated like a human being during an already stressful situation, DO NOT use this company. Absolutely awful.

Price-wise, LV Auto Transport came in a touch higher than another we were looking into, but were so much more professional when we called that we decided to go with them. We called on a Monday, they picked up promptly on Wednesday, and the car was delivered across the country a day earlier than scheduled the following Tuesday. Communication was good, pre-ship instructions were clear, we HIGHLY recommend them!
