I do not recommend this flower shop. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. While a staff member was bringing a flower wreath to my car, it was dropped onto the concrete with all the flowers being crushed against the concrete. Considering this wreath was for a mother's funeral, the situation was especially upsetting. What hurt most was that no one apologized. Instead, I was simply told, "Oh, we can fix this, it won't take long." At the time, I was overwhelmed with grief and not in a position to argue, so I trusted that the damaged flowers would be properly replaced. Unfortunately, the staff only added a few cut flowers into the wreath rather than fully repairing the damage. The result was a wreath with crushed and bruised flowers, which was embarrassing and shameful to bring to the funeral. I was also surprised that after damaging the arrangement, the staff began giving me instructions on how to care for the flowers, yet still offered no apology or compensation for what had happened. As I was leaving, one of the employees ran outside to inspect the flower stand and then attempted to blame the incident on the stand's hook. This was particularly frustrating because the stand had been provided by the florist along with the wreath. Rather than taking responsibility, the staff seemed focused on shifting blame. The entire pickup process felt inconsiderate and lacked compassion during an already difficult time. Given the circumstances, I expected much greater care, professionalism, and sensitivity toward both me as the customer and the memory of a deceased mother. read more

Jenny just recently bought Orange County Florist in the city of Orange this past Dec so it's great having a retail location to go to now. She was my wedding florist (The Poppy Studio) and has been doing several custom arrangements for me every couple of months . She is very responsive and her work is amazing. Long overdue review! Every year, for the past 2 years, my entire office has ordered rose bouquets from Adriana at Orange County Florist. Every year, everyone's significant others have been impressed. I personally went with a 100 rose bouquet and my wife loved it. The roses were fresh, beautiful, and the vase was also gorgeous. With very little direction she helped me to get a beautiful bouquet for my girlfriend at a very reasonable price. She was fast and her work was brimming with quality. I hate being that person on yelp who complains but here's the deal. I placed an order on Thursday for delivery on Saturday. It doesn't show at all and I didn't hear anything. I called on Monday asking what happened and got an excuse that barely made sense. They then cancelled my order when I asked if it could get delivered today because they "probably couldn't deliver it today" because it was "kind of far." I paid the extra money for out of area delivery!!!!!! There was no real sorry or attempt to make it work. Not going to try again here. read more

My wife was left flowerless on Valentine's. I'm partially to blame for this. I placed my order around 10:30 am on the 13th. I knew I was cutting it close, but OC Florist's delivery policy stated that "to help ensure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season, place your order at least one day prior". I did, so I thought I'd be ok. I realized I was making a late order. That's why I chose OC Florist. They were only 1.6 miles away from my wife's office. I figured the closer the florist was, the better my chance of getting a good delivery time, and they even offered free delivery for "local online orders"! I thought I made a great choice and that I found a good deal. Unfortunately, I was wrong in my assumptions. Not only did my wife's flowers not get delivered, I was charged $11 for a delivery fee. My wife's office is a 6 minute drive away. How close do you have to be to qualify for the free delivery? I'm not giving 1 star because the person who talked to me when I called was helpful with my order cancellation and refund, but I'm not using this company again, nor can I recommend them to anyone. At least for me, getting my wife flowers on Valentine's Day isn't necessarily about getting HER something. It's more about not letting her feel left out when the other ladies in the office are getting their own. I want her to feel included. I want her to feel loved. I want her co-workers to know that I love her too. I ended up getting her flowers from the store on the way home, but it's just not the same. Again, I know I have some blame in this by ordering relatively late, but I have no confidence in OC Florist's ability to deliver on their promises. Buyer beware. read more

If I could give this place 0 starts I would Unfortunately I have to give them one. My boyfriend ordered flowers for me for valentines on feb 13,2019 he placed an order and requested a rose arrangement with sunflowers The day I received them was the next day February 14 around 5 in the afternoon When I saw them I realized the flowers were already dying not as fresh as they should have been I asked him how much he paid and he told me he paid $107 which to me it was way too much money for what we got! I called the place the next day and explain the situation and I asked for them to replace them for a new one (even the flowers from the side of the fwy looked fresher) the lady I spoke with told me to come in which I did about an hour after I called The guy that was there told me that "that's how valentines flowers should look" and I said that we were paying so much for this and I don't think it's fair for the bad quality of roses we are getting He told me to wait and that he would fix them After waiting for about 20 min he comes out with the same flowers trying to tell me they were ready when In reality they were just trimmed I mean I'm not an expert when it comes to flowers but my boyfriend has bought me roses before And they last me up to a week by the 6th day they start getting old so how is he telling me that that's the way they should look. I took them with me and it hasn't even been a week and all the petals are falling and most of the roses are dead I will not recommend this place again!
