Andrew is a reliable and knowledgeable mechanic. My family has been coming to him for at least a decade for all of our Toyota cars. He's honest and direct about what needs fixing and what can be left as is. Prices aren't outrageous and he knows to not haggle like a salesman to get more done. I went to get a full service checkup and he gave me a breakdown of all things that my 2012 Camry needed. He walks me through the must haves and the okay to wait items and let me have a day to think about why I want to do. In the end I agreed to get almost everything done. When I took my car out in the freeway I noticed my steering wheel was shaking going over 60 and I called Andrew to take a look. I wrote a review on Yelp 9 months ago for DF Collision. I was not expecting to see Denis so soon after getting work on my dashboard. I would not go anywhere else after my pleasant encounter with DF Collision because of Denis's professionalism. This time it was for a rash scratch on my bumper. This is what happens when you back out of a tight garage with manual clutch transmission. The scratch was bad and I was thinking I needed a new bumper as well as rear tail light. Denis assured me that because the bumper was not cracked that he could fix, color match the paint, replace the tail light and have the car looking like new. A tall order but I had faith in Denis and he came through with shining colors. The bumper has been restored and looking like new. Dealing with insurance claims can be pretty stressful, and in my situation, it was a nightmare. I learned from this incident to ALWAYS go with your own insurance, and have them go after the other party's insurance if they are at fault. My car was hit while it was parked at a Target parking lot. The other party did the right thing, and left a note on my windshield, taking full responsibility of the accident, and leaving her information. Initially I was thinking no biggie, it should be covered under the other party's insurance, and I should be able to get my car back repaired back to normal in a few weeks, tops. I found DF Auto Collision through Yelp. The pictures of their repair work and customer comments looked excellent, so I took my car to them to handle the repairs. I spoke to Dennis and Antonio, gave them the information of the other insurance company, and they gave me a timeline of about a week. They were very kind and welcoming, and also drove me to the car rental company in the area. At this point, my car was waiting for the other insurance company's claims representative, who was lagging on communication with me and DF Auto Collision, forgetting to send items, and just leaving me and the body shop in the dark and waiting. There was no urgency nor customer service with this other insurance company. Long story short, my car sat at the body shop much longer then expected, to the point I decided to call my own insurance to handle the repairs. Even though the other insurance company was lagging, DF Auto Collision got to work quickly. They were very timely with their process, making sure in contacting the insurance company with haste, ordering the needed parts while waiting. When my car was finally returned to me, it looked like brand new! The repairs looked great! They even detailed the whole car, including the interior. The customer service at DF Auto Collision undoubtedly was the lone bright spot of this terrible experience with the other insurance company we had to deal with. They were very patient, understanding, communicated well, and just very good people. I felt they were on my side the whole time, helping me out as mush as they could, doing what they can, when they could have easily turned me away because of the headache of the other insurance company. I appreciate how Dennis and Antonio handled everything with the insurance claim and the repairs on my vehicle. I highly recommend them, and will definitely go back if I need any auto body repair. (Note: The other insurance company was Aspire General Insurance. They are a terrible insurance company, and if you have to deal with them, you may want to reconsider.) read more

*** BEWARE SHADY BUSINESS *** We called AAA to have our car towed to a San Francisco auto body shop. When the driver came he told my husband let me take it to our shop we'll do a better job. They just today got in contacted our insurance with the estimate. It was ridiculously high. My husband told them. We were going to take it back to the same shop we had originally planed on. We had our insurance company call them. They told my insurance adjuster they would not release the car without $4000. They said we owe for the tow over $500 for less then 15 miles. We've payed $800 for over 100 on a different tow. Not to mention, we had AAA tow, they want money for the estimate which is like over $400 never heard of such a thing and they want storage fees. Our adjuster said he's flabbergasted , & has never heard of anything like this before. He told me to contact the district attorney . I also put a call into the California Bureau of auto repair, fraud division, AAA towing , and seven on your side to blast out the fact that they are trying to extort $4000 from us. I had the great pleasure of being referred yesterday to DF Auto Collision. They came highly recommended from somebody who had been recommended by somebody else I know. My drivers car door would not close apparently all the screws on the door latch all fell out and the door latching mechanism fell down inside the door. My car was not drive able. I talked to Dennis the owner and he said bring it right over. So I Had my car towed to them. Literally in less than 2 hours they fixed my door. Charlie who worked on it and was a delight to work with. Both Dennis, the owner and Antonio the Manager came to the waiting room greeted me and chatted with me like I had been a long time customer. My 23 year old Landcruiser was hit while parked in San Francisco. The guy who hit it did the decent and right thing, stopped to leave a note. We exchanged info and he decided to take care of it through his insurance. I brought it to DF Auto Collision based upon my previous experience with Dennis and Antonio. Dennis was great at finding the parts that matched my old SUV and had his crew install a new bumper and tail light as well as the fender and headlight from some previous damage. After all that, they buffed away years of parking outdoors and made my Landcruiser shine again! It looks and feels absolutely great!
