I was looking at places close to me and found this food truck on google maps. It was close and looked good, so I called in an order and was told it would take 25 minutes. When I arrived at the address, it was 3 food trucks, thinking it was one of them, I knocked and nothing. I called the truck back and he told me they moved addresses and google wont change it. He gave me the correct address- an additional 15 minutes away and said "everyone knows our new address", I'm not sure who "everyone" is. How are you supposed to get new customers?! When I arrived at the truck, the guy did not apologize or make me feel any better. He wasn't nice or welcoming and kept blaming it on google. HE SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE! When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised by the chicken plate. The chicken was great, rice was flavorful and the side salad with the lemon vinaigrette was a huge plus. This is located in a cute little food truck park. The people are very nice. I got the falafel plate and we also got the beef kebab plate. I love a good mediterranean salad but this place's dressing wasn't it for me. The beef kebab was very well seasoned and the rice is very yummy. I think I've been blessed with having good mediterranean food so this was just okay in my opinion. The pita was dry and the falafel was too big and mushy inside with not enough flavoring/seasoning. I also would have liked the falafel plate to have rice instead of fries simply because the rice was so good and the fries were so lack luster. Maybe the best Lebanese food in Austin? I tried G BOBS Mediterranean Grill (located in Way South Food Truck Park) on a Wednesday night because the food truck I had planned to go to was closed. But, I am glad that it was, because I otherwise would not have found this hidden gem. First off, you know a place is good when they have not one, not two, but four different sauces with your meal. We took advantage of their Wednesday deal and ordered the G Bobs Plate, which comes with beef kebab, chicken kebab, gyro meat, falafel, rice, salad, pita bread, and all four sauces -- tzaziki, tahini, garlic toum, and their signature green sauce -- for $20. We also had to try their hummus and ordered extra falafel because it's my favorite. Everything tasted awesome!! The meat was tender and the falafel was crunchy but moist on the inside. Every item seemed very fresh, and we had a fun time creating different sauce combinations for each bite. G BOBS has proven once again that you can find a great meal in a food truck. I will definitely be back, and I'd recommend this place to anyone else who finds themselves in South Austin too. read more

This place is right around the corner from me so it's easy to pickup but I also saw them on DoorDash. Low key I was kinda impressed with the salad. Slightly upgraded with romaine lettuce and I loved the simple tomatoes and cucumber and thank you for cutting everything up for easy eating. I loved the dressing. I could see and smell the olive oil and appreciated the addition of mint in the herbs in the dressing. Both the fries and falafel were cooked to perfection with a nice crisp on the outside. It was delicious. Next time I'm going to try the special and I feel like I didn't eat too bad because I had a salad. I was reaaaally looking forward to trying this place. I am a big fan of Zankou chicken (which is also Lebanese) so I had high hopes for the chicken and the garlic spread. I was pretty disappointed that the chicken we got here was extremely dry and fairly bland. And the garlic spread looked similar to zankou's but didn't taste very good. The rice was tasty, and I liked the side salad. But this meal was underwhelming. I had such high hopes for this place! Really bummed the chicken was so overcooked, and ultimately, so dry. We are 2 families traveling in Austin and we just left McKinley falls starving ( 5 kids ) we searched on google and we found that this place was the closest to us, we decided to drive there and with all honesty we were a little skeptical so to how the place looked like.... Well we decided to stay and order and besides the fact that he was so nice to us, when we got our food (about 12 plates) we just LOVED IT!!! Ok - so it's hard for him to hear the phone in the food truck and sometimes lines can get long... But - it's a food *truck*! Once you accept that, you'll recognize this is a damn good one. I stop by for a Gyro any chance I can make an excuse to do so. The meat is delicious and flavorful and thickly cut. The pita is soft and fluffy, but sometimes gets a little soggy so I usually ask for my Tzatziki on the side, no problems. Also, that Tzatziki is liquid gold. I dip my fries in it, too! The fries *were* a bit bland, and not quite as crispy as I would want, but I just threw some season salt on them and all was well. read more
