I liked the texture. Not the best, but a solid 8/10. Then, we had $19 wagyu tacos. These things are super tasty, but super pricey too. I could basically swallow the entire taco in a single bite. We also had yakatori, and a bunch of rolls. The highlight for me was probably the $10 Japanese doughnuts at the end though. I love me some delicious donuts. I could eat those things all night. We tried out some cocktails too. I can't remember which ones. I didn't save the receipt. Definitely a must try restaurant if you're staying at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL.

I check after and they did call me, but I don't answer unknown numbers and they never left any voice messages. So he tells me they can refund the order, great, problem solved, right? Nope. I get off the phone and then receive an email from someone saying they wanted my address because they'll deliver my order. Confused, I call the restaurant back and end up speaking with someone else. We ask when the order was completed since we placed this order at 2pm? When did they make this order and are deciding to deliver us food that's been sitting for hours? They're telling me that they'll deliver the order, but they don't have the matcha tiramisu, a $9.88 item, so they'll use that as a "delivery fee." I refuse and tell them that their website let me complete the order, we were there to pick-up the order as mentioned on the confirmation, but they weren't open. The matcha tiramisu was processed, why would I get penalized for it? So he then offers to change it with something else, I say okay and give him our address. My husband also checks GPS and tells him how far and how long it'll be to deliver (30+ minutes). The guy says okay, we get off the phone. Problem solved again? Nope. I get an email saying, "We apologize but we won't be able to drop it off. It is too far of a drive for our associate . We'll process a refund as soon as possible." Guess I will wait for my refund since I wasn't told how long it'll be until I receive it. I'd avoid or call before placing orders. This place is crazy and confusing - and not just the hours. Told we'd get refunded, then get our food delivered, then not delivered.

I had a horrible experience at this restaurant. I waited an unreasonably long time for my food, only to deal with an unfriendly waiter who pressured me into leaving a automatic 20%tip despite the poor service. instead of getting an apology, the waiter start arguing, On top of that, I had to pay for valet parking, which added to the frustration. To make matters worse, I've tried calling the restaurant to discuss these issues, but no one answers the phone. This was by far one of the most disappointing dining experiences I've ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The food was insanely overpriced for what it is. The atmosphere was okay, but very hot and stuffy. There was a DJ right next to our table, so it was very difficult to talk to my friends. The seat cushions were also uncomfortable. Service was very quick, though and the servers were nice. Drinks were great, so if you're just going for some live music and drinks, I'd recommend. Almost one year later to the day Aug 13, we drove past J&C Oyster for Happy Hour (HH) and it looked as if the restaurant was closed. There were no lights on inside that we could see from the street, and there was street construction in progress in front of the restaurant. Just to be sure, we called and were told J&C Oyster was open for business. There were no customers inside when we arrived at 6 PM. Happy Hour (HH) is from 5-7 PM. We were seated at the bar and our very friendly bartender/server did not present us with the Happy Hour menu only the Dinner Menu. The oysters were excellent, and anyone reading this should know that the best thing about J&C Oyster is their Oysters! Fish Dip was ok but we later discovered that we were overcharged $ 19. when we ordered the Fish Dip during Happy Hour and the HH price is $ 12. Our server did not mention house pours at $ 9.00 (bourbon & gin) so we ended up paying full price for premium spirit brands $ 17. and $ 19. Happy Hour cocktails are $ 2.00 off but my French 75's were not so Happy. I was pleased that our server encouraged me to order more than one glass of rose at the HH price ($ 2.00 off per glass). That did not apply to the 3rd glass however @ $ 15. for the Tablas Creek Rose. We also ordered from the dinner menu. Avocado & Crab Salad, Shrimp Pasta and Thai Crab Curry were all delicious. However we were overcharged for the Thai Crab Curry $ 28. versus $ 27 online. The Pork Belly $ 12. was dry and the portion reduced to small cubes and not recommended. Our bill was $ 373.38 for 2 people and included a very generous tip for our bartender/server. The overcharges were not discovered until we reviewed our receipt which was sent via email, and compared same to the prices posted online for HH and Dinner menus.
