My fiancé took me by surprise to this restaurant that is located right in front of the Hard Rock Guitar . The very good food and the excellent cocktails the best was the attention of Lukas who was our bartender, and to complete the magnificent view they gave me my engagement ring. Let me start off by saying that I gave a five star review because the place really is amazing. The atmosphere, the ambience, the staff and service was really exceptional. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. That said, it was very expensive. We had five appetizers and 12 normal drinks, nothing crazy and paid over $700. Also had to pay $20 for valet since there is no public parking available for this hotel. Obviously, you're coming to this rooftop restaurant for the live DJ and great atmosphere. You will have a great time, you will have a great meal and you will have a lot of fun but get ready to splurge. I thought it was slightly overpriced, but I can't complain because everything was to perfection. Will I go back again? Absolutely!!!! read more

Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday. Really cute rooftop with a nice atmosphere. The service was a tiny bit slow however it was a busy Sunday evening when we went. I cant remember the name of my sushi roll but it was really good (something with charred salmon on top). The rolls here are pretty expensive, my one roll was $28. Probably one of the best restaurants in Hollywood at the moment. Yes it's pricey but I believe you get what you pay for in terms of quality etc. It's very delicious food. The ambiance is also incredible, they have magicians that come to your table they bring out sparklers for birthdays and the music is a vibe. Went here for the first time yesterday. The food was very good & flavorful. Service was fairly rude and slow. Being my first time there I didn't know gratuity was included at nearly 20% despite terrible service. I think my small cup of water was empty after the first 10 minutes there until we left. Once the server collected the money for the bill, although I asked to get a receipt and leave a review on the machine, he snatched it from my hand and said don't worry about it & never came back with a printed receipt. After seeing an Instagram post about this rooftop restaurant my friend and I arranged a date for drinks. This restaurant is located on the roof of a local hotel which is tucked away at the back of a shopping plaza and McDonalds. Upon arrival we realized there was not a self parking option, and you must use the valet service. Once we go upstairs we were met by a smiling hostess who got us checked in quickly and taken to our seat. The view was amazing. We had a nice view of the infamous guitar hotel across the street. The drinks were great and our server provided excellent service. Since I enjoyed myself so much the first time, I decided to take my husband on a date night. Unfortunately this experience wasn't as pleasant as the first. I ordered the same drinks as my first visit, however they both tasted different. The inconsistency in the drinks was a major turn off. We ordered the Korean wings and edamame for appetizers. Although they were both tasty they were brought out at separate times so we didn't get to eat our appetizers at the same time. For dinner we ordered the Salmon and Bone-in Ribeye. The Salmon was tasty, however the steak left much to be desired. The server was not knowledgeable about the menu, unable to provide any recommendations, provided incorrect information and even had to ask if lemonade was offered. The décor and vibe is 10/10. Overall I don't feel I received my money's worth and I probably wouldn't return. Both times I attended the valet worked quickly and efficient to get cars in and out (be mindful they are moving cars for both the restaurant and hotel). read more

After looking forward to coming here for a while it was a very disappointing experience. Overpriced for a restaurant on top of a Wyndham hotel in front of a McDonald's. Service was very slow with one waiter for inside of restaurant. Sushi rolls were good but wings barely had any meat. Asked for regular water but was charged for 2 bottles of water at $9 a piece. Do not recommend and would not return. read more

This restaurant is located in a hotel that's in a plaza behind a McDonalds. It's complicated to find and only way to get to the hotel entrance is going almost through the McDonald's drive-through.. parking is very limited and valet is absolutely terrible and they are $20.. Then you have to deal with the hostess. After waiting 45 minutes, they gave us a table with a fire pit in the middle. The only problem is, there's no place to put your plates down. Very complicated.. The food. NOT GOOD . For some reason they use something called liquid smoke. They think it tastes like the items are grilled. It actually taste like lighter fluid.. they put it on everything. The grilled cauliflower, peppers, and the steak. The rest of the food for sure had MSG. All items we did not eat.. The place is packed. So I am sure the owner at this moment does not care. But this place will not be around long term. Go once to check it out. I would suggest just hang out and get a drink. FYI only one beer on the menu. read more

What a disappointment! This was our second experience at G7 and both times were consistently marred by poor service and poor food quality. Since our first experience could have been a one off, we decided to give them a second chance at last night's expensive New Year's eve event. The evening started off well, with excellent Toro (fatty tuna). While waiting, and waiting, and waiting for my main course, I ordered a second Toro, but clearly they had run out and passed off regular tuna instead. I said nothing. After waiting over an hour and 15 minutes for my main course, the waiter finally came over to tell me that they had run out. They said I could now order a steak, but the kitchen had closed at 11:30 (on New Year's eve), so the waiter would have to cook the steak himself. My wife's order was a foul smelling salmon. The waiter did not offer to serve us dessert, so I asked, and was told that they had run out of all desserts, an hour and a half earlier. G7 has an excellent rooftop view and a good vibe, but these only serve to camouflage bad service and bad food. While our waiter was very apologetic, these issues come from much higher up. Namely, ownership and management, who were nowhere to be found. G7 is just another example of an entity that over promises and under performs. read more
