Wow. Ga-Tang has closed already? This was an unexplainable, very short- lived venture, having been open maybe 7 months. I actually liked several of the dishes I tried. The sisig was excellent. Kanto Pork bbq I thought was addictive, served as an entree or appetizer on a skewer. The meat was tender and nicely gingery. Pity, for whatever reason they had to close. Hopefully someone in the know will update us on where they go next, if the decision was based on the location, Farmhouse Collective, that didnt work out. Maybe a food truck or home-based business? The longanisa fries were alright. the fries were not crispy and it was pretty soggy/wet which made it cold. the flavors didn't really come together as well and the nacho cheese (?) really overpowered it. i did enjoy the crunch of the fresh veggies on top! the beef adobo bowl was also just alright. it was prettyyyy salty and the beef was not as tender as i would have expected. it was pretty good but honestly the main flavor profile was salt. the veggies were nice and crunchy and cold on the side though. read more

Super excited to try this place as we've been waiting for it to open! Everything on the menu sounded extremely delicious but we ordered the pancit sisig and lechon kawali. The pancit sisig was extremely flavorful although on the salty side and had a nice balance between the crispy pork and soft noodles. I'd love for there to be more onions and vegetables to add more freshness, but it was a wonderful meal. The lechon kawali pork had a crispy exterior with a tender interior that wasn't dry. The tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions paired well with the pork and gave it a refreshing taste. The rice was unfortunately our biggest letdown as we were hoping it would have some flavor, but it was plain rice and we ended up not eating half of it. The service was nice as they were very accommodating towards allergens, but I'm looking forward to seeing them grow and hopefully set up an alert system to let us know when our food was ready. The restaurant is located in Farmhouse Collective so it is smaller and with a big party we waited outside which made it difficult to know when our food was ready. I've been wanting to try this spot out since the farmhouse collective opened. I've never tried a Filipino restaurant before so was excited to see that it was finally open after a few months! Was looking to grab a bite to eat after the event and my friend had gotten some chicken lumpia earlier in the day and it looked so good I wanted to give it a try. The lumpia was tasty, filled with chicken and perfectly crispy. Everything on the menu looked delish and the group we were with really enjoyed what they had ordered as well. The staff was nice and the food came out fairly quickly. I did not see much (if any) seating inside but there is plenty of seating out by the stage. They were open late which was a plus for us. I was surprised to see a Filipino restaurant on delivery services. I ordered the PALABOK from GrubHub. Wow order arrived quickly. I was surprised at the presentation - it was white crispy noodles with sauce in a container. I poured the sauce slowly. I thought there might not be enough sauce BUT WAIT! The crispy noodles softly crackled & pop. As I stirred in the sauce, I noticed the shrimp were huge & they were quite generous with it. After getting all the sauce in, one more quick stir and I took a bite. WOWWW - I tasted the savory crispy pork is it? the fish flakes - I ate it with a bit of the hard boiled egg. Amazing - it was soooooooooooo good. The sauce was perfect. The crispy pork gave it that ooomph along with the fish flakes. The radish surprisingly added to the beautiful mix. I stumbled into a cozy Filipino spot. Inside has about 5 chairs looking out the window. There is plenty of outdoor seating, and other restaurants in the vicinity. Place is very well decorated. As far as the food, I have high expectations for Filipino food. I ordered the pork sisig. It was delicious! Crunchy pork with a bed of rice and a fried egg on top. And a side of calamansi (citrus fruit kind of like a lime, for those who don't know what calamansi is.) My only issue with the food is that I paid almost $20 for a bowl of rice egg and pork, $11 for 5 lumpia. For $33 I'm expecting enough meat for a gout flare up ya know? Other than that service was fine. It's not a sit down where they serve you it's a nice lady at the register taking your order. I do recommend this place because the food is good, but I won't come here often due to the price. Mmm I got the sisig with rice, an ube sylvana and berrymansi. The sisig was crispy and tasted so good. I was a little surprised that the rice wasn't jasmine but it still went well with the dish. We've been waiting for Gatang to open up at the Farm House Collective. Love the clever name. The place is relatively small with limited seating inside with 2-3 tables outside. We were created immediately and took our orders promptly. I've always been skeptical about Filipino restaurants because many modern places don't seem to capture the essence of Filipino cuisine, fearing that it would t appeal to Western palates. We were delightfully surprised. The food was fresh, perfect texture and temperature. All the essential flavor notes of each dish we ordered were accounted for. Menu was inclusive and has vegan options which is uncommon in Filipino food. The only thing missing was some Filipino condiments/sawsawan. Super excited to see a Filipino spot near me. So I had to stop by to give it a try. I do think that it is pretty pricey for what you get. The food wasn't as fresh and it did lack some flavor. I ordered the pancit bowl, the bbque pork bowl, and vegetable lumpia. I was very excited to try this place. But, the food was ok. I tried their Lechon Kawali and it was good but it wasn't the best. Their Sisig was also ok, it's lacking a little bit of flavor. I do like their rice though and their Halo-Halo. I think their prices are little expensive for their dishes and how much comes in the plate. I would only come back for their Halo-Halo to be honest. Called in an order and I believe there was a slight misunderstanding due to me coming in super late. I think the original order might've been thrown away(?) but nonetheless, my family and I were easily able to overlook that since we were now given the chance to order the food from Ga-Tang fresh! We ordered 1 Beef Adobo, 1 Gising-gising, 1 Fry-dobo, and 1 Sylvanna. Snacked on the sylvanna while waiting for the food, and it was absolutely delicious! It was my first time trying the dessert, and I wish I could've ordered more LOL. This review should be taken with a grain of salt, for I was raised as a Filipino-American, and I truly believe that nothing beats the traditional foods cooked by our Nanay or Tita/Tito. However, the food here is a nice, modern take on Filipino food! The Beef Adobo was slightly on the saltier side. The meat was a tender and a bit shredded, but I also assume they fry the adobo to some extent to create an Adobo-flake like texture. I think if I were to order it again, I'd order it with extra pickled vegetables just to help balance out the saltiness. The Java rice paired with the adobo though is so very tasty! Each bite of the rice I felt as though it helped bring me back to Earth from the intense flavors coming from the adobo. I highly recommend asking for extra pickled everything just to help cut through it all. The Gising-gising was quite tasty! Although I'm not too familiar with this dish, I found it to be similar to having a gravy-less chopsuey. The vegetables were nicely sautéed, and the tofu soaked in the flavor, and they added a little kick just to tease the tastebuds a little bit. I actually ended up mixing both the gising-gising with the beef adobo together and it ended up being a delicious mix. As for the Fry-dobo, since it does meat from the beef adobo, I did find it to be a bit on the saltier side again. However, the diced tomato and onion slaw put on top with radish, sour cream, and cheese helped cut through the saltiness. I would recommend getting extra sour cream or extra slaw just to help cut through the saltiness. It was still very tasty and I would order it again. I think now having experienced Ga-Tang for the first time, I know what to expect when ordered the previous dishes and modify them to my liking. They're ran by a lovely family and the Tita working with my Mom and I was just so very kind. The welcomeness we experienced is exactly what we'd expect from a Filipino-owned restaurant and I can't wait to try out their other dishes. For those of you expecting a Filipino karinderya, this most likely won't be your place. But for those of you looking to introduce your friends/family to Filipino food but feel as though they aren't ready to adventure into the deep, intense flavors that our food brings out. I believe Ga-Tang does an excellent job in becoming the first stepping stone for those of you willing to dive into trying out Filipino food. read more

It's nestled in this plaza called farmhouse collective which also has many other options to eat from and has a nice atmosphere. Ga-tang's take on traditional Filipino dishes is outstanding. The flavors, the portions, and the service is well worth the price. I got the tapsilog which absolutely smacked. The berrymansi drink was well balanced with sweetness and tartness of the calamansi. And the ube cookie to top it off was fresh and full of ube flavors. I actually bought an extra cookie just to bring back to my brother. We tried the Lechon Kawali, the Longganisa fries, the Pork Sisig, the Strawberry Calamansi and the Gulaman Juice. The average price for items seems to be around $17, but the portions are very generous. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The place is a little small - about room for 6 people, but plenty of outside seating. It can get cramped pretty quickly if large groups come in, but again, they are super fast so it's a minor problem. We will definitely be back to try the pancit and other items! read more

We were told they ran out of food and that we should call first. We understand that small businesses can sell out, but if this happens regularly, the hours should reflect that. Customers shouldn't have to guess or call during posted business hours. Many people drive far expecting you to be open. The food is good when available, but the inconsistency is disappointing.
