I'm going to start by saying Dr. Gabbay is a miracle worker. I had my first breast augmentation last year in which it was everything I hated. I was so upset because of all the money I spent. Though Dr. Gabbay is known for creating amazing boobs, I had the pleasure of visiting him because of a car accident which resulted in glass embedded into my forearm. I have to say, I was initially impressed by the office. Just looking over Los Angeles from the high vantage point is quite a relaxing experience. Dr. Gabbay acted with precision and self-assuredness. he performed a quick surgery and pulled the glass out of my forearm. I have to admit that part of the fun was seeing all of the technology and care that goes into augmenting the breasts and yes, I did play with the silicon sacks. Accidents happen... Especially with kids!! On Dec 6th my son was accidentally hit by another child with a baseball bat as he was swinging at a piñata. He child missed the piñata and hit Connor in the forehead. We went to St. John's ER. While there we knew sutures were inevitable. It was a huge deep gash. The PA on staff said she could just put a few sutures in to close it. I was not comfortable with that. I requested a plastic surgeon. She did everything she could to talk me out of it, but this is my sons face we are talking big about. About a hour later Dr. Gabbay walked in. I knew nothing about him. He talked to not only my mother and I but more importantly he spoke to the patient my 7 yr old son. He walked Connor though the entire procedure talking to him the entire time. Comforting him, laughing with him, making him feel safe after a scary thing happened to him. The icing on the cake was after Dr. Gabbay was finished.. my true Southern California boy asked for a " selfie" with Dr. Gabbay. Connor had 2 layers of sutures to close the gash on his head. The scar is barely noticeable a month later. He took out Connor sutures, answered all my silly questions, saw Connor again to just put my mind at ease. He treated Connor like family. Dr. Gabbay left me completely uneven & also, him nor his team have followed up with me after 2 months since my 6 month follow up (on 08/03). Very disappointed overall & do not recommend. Long story short, I went in & got surgery for a lift+implants. He left me with my right smaller then my left by a good amount & the areola's are completely uneven. One being way lower then the other. The other being high that anything deep V cut is hard to wear. As I understand boobs are not supposed to be perfect/"twins", they're "sisters" this is no where near that. My previous natural boobs looked better & the unevenness that was/is claimed I had wasn't this drastic as I was left. I had my 6 month follow up Aug. 3rd & went over the shape/size/unevenness of the messed up boob. Was told another surgery would be required & to wait for Melissa to email me my quote. Haven't heard from anyone to this day. Have checked emails constantly (always do for personal reasons) even spam & nothing. Very disappointed overall & do not recommend. Since after my surgery I always brought up the unevenness at every appointment but was given the same answer, " It's to early to tell, you're still swollen, give it time." Dr. Gabbay is an incredible plastic surgeon. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient when he explained my options and his decision-making. I'm also in medicine, so I probably had more serious questions and concerns than the average patient. Dr. Gabbay is very honest in what he will and won't do, thinking long-term on my behalf. He's not the type of surgeon to push something on the patient so he can get more from each surgery, and he's also not the type of surgeon to be pushed to do things that he doesn't think will work out. All the pre-op consults were focused on what I wanted and what he thought he could safely do with good results. I ended up getting liposuction around my back and abdomen, the fat transferred to my breasts, and laser skin tightening. His staff are all very responsive and friendly, and they really catered to my needs with regards to timing of my surgery. As a medical student, I have a very rigid schedule and few vacation days, so they really made my scheduling a priority such that the surgery and recovery didn't interfere with my coursework. They also helped me set up post-op hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic drainage sessions. One thing that set him apart from other surgeons I consulted with was the post-op plan. I think the hyperbaric oxygen was crucial to retaining the newly transferred fat, but the other surgeons I consulted with didn't really mention it. It makes sense though, that the newly transferred fat won't have its own blood (and therefore oxygen) supply, so it is necessary to provide supplemental oxygen to the fat to allow it to survive. Dr. Gabbay really optimized the whole fat transfer process for maximal results. After the initial swelling went down, I really didn't notice any loss of fat in the post-op recovery months. Aside from the amazing and natural results, one of the other things that drew me to Dr. Gabbay's practice is that he does many of his procedures on awake patients. General anesthesia is actually the most dangerous part of many surgeries, and so I liked the idea of being awake and participating in the surgery. Unfortunately, I don't remember much of the surgery, maybe because I was more sensitive to the medications, which felt like a reaaalllyyyy good drunk, but it's possible that someone with better drug tolerance could have been a bit more "awake" than I was. It was fine though, because Dr. Gabbay and I talked thoroughly about what we were aiming for before I got the drugs, so he knew what I wanted and I knew I was in good hands. I remember the skin preparation at the very beginning, then I remember him asking me what OR music I wanted, and next I remember it hurting when he was injecting the fat into my breasts because there wasn't local anesthesia there yet. I remember cursing and asking for something to squeeze, and then two breast implants appeared in my hands LMAO. Not gonna lie, that part hurt a lot, but I was laughing so hard about the breast implant stress balls that it didn't matter and it was over really quick. Next I remember someone putting a diaper on me, and then I was in a wheelchair with a Mountain Dew in my hand (the best Mountain Dew of my life). Dr. Gabbay was very realistic with my expectations, saying that I will likely still have some redundant lower abdominal skin, which ended up being true, but we decided that I will deal with that after I have kids. The redundant lower abdominal skin is honestly not noticeable to a normal person. I'm just a perfectionist. He also said that most patients get 1/2-1 cup increase in breast size for each transfer surgery, and I asked him to do as much as he can. By Victoria's Secret measurements, I was a 34A going into the surgery and ended up a 34D at 12 months post-op!!! I am THRILLED with my breast results and could not be happier. They are perfect and perky and REAL, and they will grow and age with me and I will never have to worry about them popping or needing to be replaced! 10/10 would recommend. :) read more

I got into a motorcycle accident with a ruptured foot tendon and a broken jaw. I was taken to ER in Cedars-Sinai and luckily I became a patient of doctor Gabbay. Him and doctor Aynechi performed a surgery on my jaw. Doctor Gabbay attended the following foot surgery as well and put the torn skin on my foot together sewing almost dead flapping piece back to the foot. I was so fortunate to have Gabbay as my doctor! I had to have my jaw wired for two months, but now nobody can tell that something happen, my face looks totally normal!!! If I could give Dr. Gabbay and his staff 6 stars I would. My experience and level of care was on another level. From the time I had my first call with Melissa all the way to the post operation appointment I felt so comfortable and at ease. Reasons I love Dr. Gabbay -The office uses a phone that you can easily text, and they respond QUICK. I sent a message at 9pm on a Sunday and they responded back within minutes. -The recovery from surgery was a breeze. Dr. Gabbay makes sure that you are as comfortable as possible before, during and after surgery. I had a breast lift/augmentation and only used pain meds the first day. Only reason why I even took them is because I thought I would wake up in the middle of the night in pain, that never happened. I actually have had no pain throughout the process. The second day post operation, I was back to doing leg workouts (some simple squats nothing major). I felt great! -I was extremely nervous to go under anesthesia after having major issues in the past with getting sick. His staff was aware so prior to surgery the anesthesiologist addressed my concerns and had a convo with me about how they were going to make me comfortable. This man gave me my face back. Six weeks ago I had one of those days when you break every bone on your face. I hit concrete face-first at 35 miles an hour. On the way to the ER, I was coming to terms with spending the rest of my life with severe cosmetic problems and possibly with severe functional problems. I was incredibly lucky to draw Dr. Gabbay at a time when I could not do anything and could not advocate for myself. Dr. Gabbay started working on me in the ER, and I very quickly gained a great deal of confidence in his work and started to feel that things might turn out all right. While doing a preliminary work, he helped me get in contact with friends and family as I was completely unable to take care of anything for myself. Working with oral surgeon Dr. Moris Aynechi, Dr. Gabbay planned and executed a nine-hour, incredibly complex and difficult procedure to repair the hundreds of large and small fractures. Some restructuring, some bone transplant and a whole lot of titanium -- titanium chin, titanium nose and what must be hundreds of titanium micro-plates to stabilize the fractures in my cheeks -- and I have a face again. To look at me now, you would never know that I had such a massive facial trauma -- or even any facial trauma -- a few weeks ago. The CT scan of my new face is a work of art that I will frame to appreciate the amazing work done, none of which is visible to anyone looking at me now. Side benefits have been that my new nose works far better than the old ever worked, and with my jaws wired for 8 weeks I've lost the extra weight I wanted to lose. Really, eating through a tube for a while is not that bad in the greater scheme of things. I finally made the decision to get breast reduction surgery after dealing with chronic intertrigo and did not want to take topical steroids for the rest of my life. I was a 32 DDD/F. I was referred to Dr. Gabbay through a friend who had the exact same procedure as me! She had a wonderful experience with him, and was so happy with her results. I am always very thorough when making decisions in my life, and after I met with Dr. Gabbay the first time, I didn't even see another doctor! He is the Chief of Clinical Plastic Surgery at Cedars Sinai, and I knew I was in good hands. I am now one month post surgery! The entire office staff is so kind and welcoming and right there to answer any surgery concerns! They get back very quickly and are always on top of things! Dr. Gabbay has the best bedside manner! He is so friendly and easy to talk to and very funny. He actually had me laughing with his jokes a couple minutes before my surgery while he was mapping everything out. I was so grateful to feel so calm pre-surgery that I could laugh! It was surprising to me that I didn't feel nervous, but I think his calm and confident demeanor helped me feel at ease. I have never had a surgery in my life, and he answered every question I had. I had watched a lot of videos on YouTube about people recovering from breast reduction, and I had mentally prepared for something that was much different than what I actually experienced! The office recommended that I do a hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatment the day prior to surgery and a couple times the week after if I could, to help increase the oxygen in my blood! I am so glad they did as I believe it sped up my healing! My bruises healed so much faster. The incisions are so delicate and precise and clean. No gauze, no drains. All I came home with was surgery tape on my incisions! I literally only took pain medication the first day, and then never again! I was absolutely shocked! I was up, walking around the day of surgery! I was expecting a lot of pain, but I can honestly say that was NOT the case at all! I was totally fine. I actually could not believe how little pain there was. Now I am 4 weeks out from my surgery and doing really well! And my breasts already look awesome! They actually did the DAY after surgery when I opened up my surgical bra for the first time! He really is a true artist with his work. Dr. Gabbay recommended lymphatic massage to help me stay on top of the swelling. He's incredibly proactive about the recovery process. This entire process has been a million times easier than I thought it would be, and I honestly wish I would have considered doing this sooner. I highly recommend Dr. Gabby and his office staff and am very grateful that I had my surgery done by him! I do believe this will be life changing for me and feel lucky to have had it done by one of the best doctors you could have. read more

Dr Gabbay and his team are amazing! They always do their best to fit me into his busy schedule and are always so professional yet extremely friendly. I was always eager to try botox/fillers but a little nervous. Dr Gabbay made me feel so comfortable and even excited to get started! The best thing about Dr Gabbbay is that he didn't make me feel like a needed a lot of things done - he pointed out a few areas that I mentioned were concerns and then pretty much insisted I don't touch other parts as I simply didn't need it. Its refreshing to have someone be honest and not try get you to touch up your entire face! When I mentioned in passing I was interested in some other procedures - he continued our consultation WAY passed the allotted time and by the time my visit was over I felt as though I was leaving a friends house - not the Doctors office! Over Labor Day weekend, I wrote Dr. Gabbay this message below after watching one of his infamous "walks with Dr. Gabbay" on his Instastory I decided to use it as my Yelp review. *Hi Doc. Want to say something: the sweet spirited energy from everyone at your office always feels like a big hug the second you walk in. Guess what? I think other patients feel it too because they're chillaxed and always smiling. Anyway, it didn't take me long to trust you. (surprised myself because it takes me *awhile* to warm up to people, especially Dr's, surgeons and dentists- no offense) Your "people person" skills matter to me. You are able to put me at ease and that's important because some of us will come to you with insecurities or will be vulnerable about our physical imperfections. You often say things meant to build up my self-esteem (TY) that's opposite of "jerk" or "as* dr's." You are no doubt very skilled at what you do, but you also have compassion, and you also hired wonderful people who are sweet souls as well.
